Clearing the air

"Pete is that you?" I asked as both Pete and I assumed Abigail tuned around. I quickly ran to him and give him a big hug.

"It's good to see you too. I want you to meet my fiance Abigail." He said gesturing to the beautiful girl.

"Hello, I'm Abigail. It's so nice to meet you. Pete has told me so much about you." she said shaking my hand.

"It's very nice to meet you as well please come in. Alfred can you please get us all some tea?" I asked handing my coat to him. He nodded and quickly went to go tell my order.

"So, are you excited for the big wedding?" I asked as we all walked into the sitting room.

"Yes, we have it all planned out. It will be at the farm and then were going to the town hall for the reception." She said holding Pete's hand out of excitement.

"That sound great." I said trying to sound happy for them, but secretly I was jealous. Abigail described my dream wedding. "When is it again?" I asked as Alfred came in and set the tea tray down on the coffee table.

"This Sunday. You are coming right?" Pete asked grinning from ear to ear.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world." I said taking a sip of my tea.

"We have an appointment to go to. Abigail dear why don't you wait in the car for a minute. I want a word with Y/N alone." Pete said as we all stood up. She nodded, said goodbye, and went to go wait in the car. "I just wanted to make sure there are no hard feelings between us."

"Pete, I'm happy for you. Abigail is perfect for you. Of course there are no bad feelings." I said as the James came in and handed Pete his coat.

"Good, I was scarred that you where still in love with me." He said giving me a big hug. "It was good to see you. I must be going now. Say hello to Lord and Lady Granthem for me." He said walking back to his car.
