Annabeth POV

After I finished school, I kept thinking about my new made friends.
As I returned home, I suddenly dawned on something.

Was Athena my real mom?
She had the same grey eyes as me, and the same last name.

When I got home, I found a note that said,

Hi, Annabeth.

How was school?
Work is running late, I'll be back at 4:45.
Make a sandwich, or something.
See you!

Love,
Mom

Oh. I looked at the time, 4:27.
Great, 18 more minutes.

When I checked my phone, I got an incoming call.

Percy Jackson,
555-2765

Percy?!
My heart was doing intense warm-ups, when I answered the phone.

"He-hello?" I stammered.
Smooth, Annabeth. Real Smooth.

"Hey, Annabeth! Do...do you want to...come over sometime?" He asked.

I was melting inside.

"Of course!" I exclaimed.

"Nice. Friday?" He asked.

"Yes, that'll do." I muttered.

"Bye!"

"Bye."

PERCY JUST ASKED ME TO HIS HOUSE!!!!!!
As I made a sandwich, I got a text from Athena.

Be back now. Work ended sooner.

A few moments later, the garage door opened, and a silver Ferrari rolled in.

As she got out, I asked, "Did you marry Frederick Chase?"

She turned red.
"Yes..."

I was more excited.
"Was my dad cheating on you, so you had to leave?" I asked.

"Annabeth..."

"You are my mom. I...you have to be." I pressed.

"Annabeth, Frederick...he...left me right after my company became successful. He took all the money, and married an Asian lady, Hellen. When I found out, you were six, and Hellen was pregnant. I left." She looked down, reproachfully.

I hugged her.

"Well, in that case," Athena continued, "We'd better go see your...grandfather, President Zeus."
"WHAT?!" I shouted.

Wait...my...grandfather? Zeus?

"Annabeth, Zeus found me when I was a young girl. He adopted me, and we've had a relationship ever since. I work in the Olympus Architecture Company, as the CEO. My office is right next to his." She explained.

"WOAH! Let's go now." I pleaded.

"Sure."

As we drove through the streets of New York, pedestrians gaped and waved, but we just ignored them.
Finally, we reached the Empire State Building, and my mom parked in a reserved spot, for employees.

We then went in the building, and my mom asked the security dude for a key card. He handed her a card, that said, Olympus Association, 600th floor.

"But...it has only 199 floors." I pointed out.

She winked.
"You'll see."

I suddenly realized that we were in a high tech science place, and that the 600th floor was to high to be seen.
When the elevator reached it, we stepped out, and my breath was taken away.

There was blue fire burning in torch like braziers, and fountains at most turns. The minor employees, like Nemesis, Hecate, and Morpheus, all opened their doors to stare at me.

As we went through the corridors, we reached the end of the hall, to see a big door, with golden words,
President Zeus engraved on it.

As we stepped in, there was a giant office, with files, papers, and a bunch of other stuff. Sitting at a round desk in the middle, studying piles of papers, was a man, tall and proud, with greyish hair streaked with black and white. He had a neatly trimmed beard, and a respectable pin-stripped suit. His eyes were electric blue, just like Thalia's and Jason's.

When he saw Athena, he put down the papers, straightened, and stood up.

"Hello, Athena. Who do we have here?" He asked as he studied me as I looked at him. He was really tall, 1 meter 86 centimetres at least.

"Uh...hi... I'm, Annabeth?" I tried.

"Annabeth...I like that name. Unique...Athena, why did you bring her?" He questioned.

Athena replied, "Father, Annabeth is my daughter. She ran away from her home at seven, and I found her again."

"Ah. Well in that case, come and visit more often." He chided.

"You are my...grandfather?" I wondered.

"My dear, do I look that old? Call me, uncle. Yes, that shall do." He chuckled.

I smiled. Then Athena told me it was time to go. We said goodbye, and left.
