Ethan:

""don't worry princess, I'm here to save you and kill the vicious dragon!" the prince yelled as he entered the castle" said Ethan before turning on to the next page to read the rest of the story to his baby daughter

"the prince pulled out his shinny sword and with quick movements, killed the ferocious beast and saved the king's daughter from his sharp claws" he repeated again with excitement and his young daughter gasped in shock, before hugging her fluffy pillow tightly, trying to wrap her petite arms around it.

"did he save the princess, daddy?" Amelia mumbled at her father; Ethan, waiting for her daddy to answer positively.

"yes Amelia, the knight in shining armor did save the princess!" Ethan reassured his daughter, after putting the fairy tale book on the nightstand and tucking his 4year old daughter on her bed, pulling the bright pink sheets up to her neck.

"goodnight daddy" the young female whispered to her dad when he leaned to kiss her forehead.

"good night baby" ethan said quietly and turned off the lights.

grayson:

"mommy, how did you and dad meet?" young Mikey asked his mother; (y/n), while she was feeding him his dinner.

Grayson, who was sitting right across from his son, chuckled and immediately locked eyes with his lovely wife, reliving the memory in his mind.

"well, Mikey, when we were 16, me and your mom were in the same high school. And one day, during the homecoming dance, mom's ex boyfriend broke up with her, leaving her with alone the night of homecoming." Grayson explained simply, as if he was telling a story to his young son, while he felt disgusted only by remembering his wife's ex boyfriend from when they were 16, even if it was at least 7 years ago.

"who left you alone mama?" baby Mike exclaimed sadly, almost on the verge of tears, denying to eat the rest of his soup.

"no darling, I was not alone. Your daddy, came like my knight in shining armor and danced with me." (y/n) said and squinted lovingly.

"and then?" Mike questioned, having heart eyes already.

"and then, years after, here we are" Grayson finished and gripped his wife's hand, intertwining their fingers adorably.
