i suddenly flinch at the sudden and annoying sound of the school bell, that just rung, and i slowly get up from my seat, and grab all my pens and notepads and shove them into my backpack, leaving only a couple books out, that i want to leave in my locker.

i throw the strap of my backpack over my shoulder and then pick the few books and notebooks from my desk, and finally i make my way outside. i get out of the classroom and see my best friend waiting for me patiently.

''finally!'' she exclaims annoyed and throws he hands in the air. ''the girls are waiting for us in the cafeteria'' she adds.

''actually, go out and find the girls and i'm gonna come out in a minute. i need to leave those in my locker.'' i say and look towards my books.

''okay'' she groans annoyed and walks out.

i watch her pass the school door and i finally turn around to the opposite direction and walk towards the lockers. my steps echo through the hallways as i walk straight to my locker, always looking down at the blue and white tiles. 

i lift my head up as i reach my locker, and i soon unlock it, putting in my code. with my free hand i open it and a light blue note tumbles out of the locker and floats in the air, before falling on the floor. i furrow my eyebrows and sloppily throw my books in the locker. i close the locker and kneel down, to reach the note. after picking it up, i get up and look around me, before reading the letter.

''.. i had to change my player ways, got way to complicated for me, i hope she's waiting for me.

everywhere she goes, they playing my song, that's why i say the things that i say, that way i know you can't ignore me.

my eyes carefully skim through the note with the sloopy handwriting, as i soon noticed that these were part of the lyrics of bryson tiller's song; exchange. with the note locked in my clenched fist, i walk towards the cafeteria and my eyes scan the place, trying to find the rest of my friends. 

my best friend notices me and waves at me, and i walk towards the bench that she was sitting, once i notice her. i look at the ground as i walk, but i soon lift my head up, as i hear roars of laughter coming from ahead. i then notice a squad of boys laughing, that were sitting on a bench some meters ahead of me.

i squeeze my eyes and try to identify the male figures, and i soon scoff, once i realize who they were. it's the squad of bad boys, the players of our school, the boys that every girl has a crush on, or in other words the dolan twins and their friends.

i continue walking forward and i soon come closer to their bench. some of the boys turn around to look at me, as i am approaching, as well as one of the leaders of this squad; grayson dolan. i roll my eyes and continue walking, but my eyes widen as i hear one familiar song coming from their direction; exchange by bryson tiller.

my heart picks up its pace for some damn reason and i soon find myself walking past the guys. i feel my cheeks heat up as i notice that everyone stops laughing  as i walk in front of them, only exchange playing in the backround. i turn my head to the side as i walk, and my eyes meet grayson's. he smirks at me and he soon starts singing the course of the song.

he sings and winks at me, still smirking.

i give him a weak smile and turn my head to my friends and continue walking, as i hear them whispering and talking in the backround. i finally reached my friends and we start talking, as i feel my chest still pounding up and down, and my heart still beating really fast.

after some minutes, i feel my phone buzz in my pocket and i reach my hand to grab it. i unlock it and notice that i have a new message; unknown.

i furrow my eyebrows and read the message after all.

xx''

i look up and my eyes quickly focus on grayson, who is holding his phone and smiles. i smile back at him and i blush, seeing him winking and mouthing the words:
