Ch. 4 Crawling back to a demon.

“PSYCHO YOU DID NOT TELL ME YOU’D BE BACK!” Demon yelled at the top of his lungs. I read his lips because I was blocking my ears with large headphones. His eye twitched with anger. Any moment he’s eyes would turn crimson red and grew fangs along with it. I had handed the contract to Demon’s father and he handed it to Lucia Hunter.

“Sorry can’t hear you,” I say not hearing my own voice. Demon stood in front of me shirtless. After a year, he still likes to give the image that he can’t afford a shirt. He’s grown hotter, I had to admit. Demon came closer to me. I breathed in all the world’s air supply. He pulled the headphones off by force. I gasped and winced.

“OW!” I screamed over at his ear.

“CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!?” He yells.

“NOT IF YOU’VE JUST MADE ME DEAF!” I yell back at him. Our eyes both meet in hatred. I slept over Demon’s house and it was morning. The place was bigger then I remembered it. I was sitting over the couch relaxed. Demon kissed his teeth. He looked furious. My family was more important than having him mad. He turned his back at me and faced me again. World war 2 people...

“Bitch, you ran away and now your crawling back? More money!?” He questions. I ran away...? You fucking kicked me out you jerk!

“I’m not craw-“ I stopped myself from saying a lie. I seduced him to get what I want. Something I thought I’d never do in my life. He scoffed as I stopped myself.

“I did not run away,” I protect myself “And I told you the reason why I had to get back to you.” He didn’t know the whole story though.

“What because you’re fucking selfish and you want money? People are going to die, what kind of fucking lie is that?” Demon excused me of lying.

“I’m not lying,” I didn’t care if he believed me or not “So where are we going today?”

“World war 2...” He says under his breath “There is no we, there is only I, me.” It truly was world war 2. I put my leg over my leg and stare up at him. We both knew that I was going to end up tagging along anyway. Demon then walks to the exit. I get up and follow him.

“You’re not going,” he states.

“I am,” I fight.

“Well then I’m going to get drunk,” He tries to get rid of me. My arms went at my hips. I gained more confidence in my choices.

“Then you’re not going,” I decided for himself. I wasn’t worried about coming out bossy or bitchy. My main focus was getting my parents back. He faced me. We stood in each other’s breathing space. I felt no connection that I felt long ago. It faded away when I start loving Seth.

“You can’t control me. If you think I’m going to be as easy as I was a year ago, you really are stupid,” Demon says with no mercy. He called me stupid....

“I’m not here for you, I’m here for others. So don’t think I’m going to let you. I’m actually going to do my job this time,” I said not removing eye contact with him. There was only empty space and us.

“Well bring it on psycho,” He challenged smirking.

“I’ll bring it demon,” I sourly smile taking the challenge.

“What’s the bet?” He asks making things more interesting.

“My life,” I honestly said.

“You’re heart?” He raises an eyebrow.

“You’ve had it,” I snarl “And you threw it.” Demon laughed at my quote. It wasn’t like me to say quotes out loud.

“Well I guess I won world war one didn’t I? I broke your heart?” he questions. I almost flinched at the reminder. He’s smile told me he was amused and had a feeling of an accomplishment to break me. My teeth grinded together. I open my mouth to defend myself.

“Don’t deny it,” Demon interrupted and opened the door half way “I play with hearts. You fell for it, admit it.” I looked over at him like I didn’t know him anymore. There was cruelness in his voice. I looked deep into his eyes again. I still saw no life.

“Fell for what...?” I ask.

“Me,”

“You...? Like what...? Your act or the real you?”

“I never showed you the real me,” He says. I doubt it.

“Uh huh,” I roll my eyes.

“No really,”

“Sure...”

“You’re delusional, I’m leaving, good bye physco,” He says. He just said bunch of words I don’t want to here.

I broke your heart.

I was acting.

It wasn’t real.

Good bye....

He exited the room fully. I followed him. He starts complaining again but I just ignored him. We headed down to the garage. Then I had to stop him for good. His mother made it in time and Demon stopped resisting. She made a light smile toward me but gave Demon a death glare. She must have known what was on his mind because her first sentence was.

“No, you’re not going out in the gang area and get drunk, and Lexis better not get caught in it or I’ll put you in the wilderness,” She gave the threat. Demon seemed haunted by his mother threat. She always had her way of threatening. She knew his weaknesses.Demon took a slow step away from the garage and faced me.

“Where you want to go Psycho?” He asks.

“My apartment,” I meant as a demand.

“You have an apartment?” He asks strangely.

“Yea...” I roll my eyes and then enter the garage. Demon follows me this time. I look over at the cars and spot a Lamborghini. I felt in the mood to go into one again. Then I saw Demon’s baby. It was glowing. Demon noticed my gaze on his car. He ran up to his car and put his hand in front like a kindergartner.

“No...! Stop looking at it, right there! We are not taking this car! You are not hurting my baby!” He treated me as if I was insane again “Just move...your eyes...away, slowly and carefully!” His blue eyes were widened and I looked over at this car seeing details. Then I saw a dent in the car. I stare at the dent. It was a small dent.

“Who made that giant dent there?” I ask him. Demon was starting to panic and turn his head quickly to his car. He frowned and turned to me.

“My ex-girlfriend...” he says shamefully. He looked down at his feet incredibly upset “I really liked her but I can’t take her back....” Gees, I wonder which ex-girlfriend was that. I have to admire the girl for doing the same thing.

“Nice,” I say with a nod “She wouldn’t take you back?” I found myself smiling brightly at my question.

“No...I dumped her, she asked an impropriate question and was too clingy.” I wonder what did he do... What kind of question? I came up with many questions to ask but decided to keep my mouth shut. She dumped him and I had nothing to worry about. I just shrug my shoulders and walk up to the car. Demon moved another step back against his car.

“It’s not happening! Stay...back! I’m warning you!” he exclaims. Demon doesn't joke around with his baby. Man... I feel sorry for the sucker, that would have to marry him.  His kid will get in that car and run off, and he'd be more worried about his car than his kid. I snickered and turn my head back into the Lamborghini. It had no roof on it. I jumped into the car. Demon slightly relaxed his shoulders. He looked haunted by me touching the car.

“Not that either, it’s new,” Demon says.

“It’s either your baby or this,” I gave him the choice.

“We can go in that car,” Demon points into a Mercedes.

“Nah, I like this one better... You want to show off your car and yourself don’t you?” I question him. Demon rolls his eyes and murmurs that I had a point. He gets into the car and I don’t push him into letting my drive like his best friend did. I wish I could talk to Nathan to convince Demon to let me drive. We head into the road. I stayed silent. I leaned my head against the side of my seat. The warm breeze of the day felt nice against my skin. I closed my eyes and started to fall asleep. I was consumed by the sleep. A nightmare came next.

The water swayed to the shore. The sun touched every point of the bright clear blue sky. I turn my head away from the sky and look ahead of me. The demon was in front of me. His jet black hair was spiked up and he looked all clean and smelled. I wouldn’t say smelled nice because I couldn’t stand too much unnatural smells. I stare at him wondering what the heck was going on. My hair felt tight against my scalp. At least a part of it. We were around a beach.

“Do you Damon hunter take Lexis Anthis as your wife?” Somebody spoke up. My face went pale and then I turn my over at my left and see the person who does the wedding stuff. Son of a bitch... I look down below at myself and see a white dress. I had to admire that it looked extremely pretty. HOLLY SHIT! This isn’t real! I’m not marrying him! I’m too young to marry him! I tried to move my lips but they were stitched tight.

I do,” Demon says. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This is NOT FUNNY! If this wasn’t a dream I would be mad as hell or blushing as hell. My face heated up. The steam was about to rise.

“Do you Lexis Anthis take Damon hunter as your husband?” The man asked. Husband...!? WHAT!? NO WAY IN HELL! He’s a DEMON!

“I do... Wow this is weird I had a dream about it,” The words slipped out of my mouth without any control. Had...!? HAD!? I’m having the freaking dream now! Demon half laughs looking at me with his crystal clear living blue eyes. They looked alive unlike before. What was going on? Did I get drugged and forced to marry him or something?

“You may kiss the bride,” The man announced. Nooooooo! You may NOT kiss me! Seth is my boyfriend! I moved myself closer to Demon and kissed him first. Demon kissed me back. The emotions were getting to real for my taste. Nice going dream me... Then some people cheered on from the right side. Sam was in the crowd with a big smile.

“Congratz,” She mouthed. No...!

“No...! I don’t want to get married to a player,” I groan in misery. There was laughter from my left side. As soon as my eyelids opened the sun was blinding me. I could feel the movement of the car coming to a stop. I felt something vibrating near my head. Was my cell phone near my ear? Wait... I didn’t bring a cell phone. I was resting my head on something. I put my head up and noticed that I rested my head on Demon’s shoulder. Shoot...!

“Sorry, thought you were Seth...” I fibbed.

“Seth’s a player?” he questions me. My face almost deepened red worrying if I talked in my sleep. How dare he invade my dreams! He probably was whispering stuff in my head to have that nightmare. Anger was starting to consume me. Where else could that dream come from... Oh... Daphne was getting married to a player. No way in hell...!
“It wasn’t you,” I lie and then truthfully say “My bitchy sister is getting married to a player... I just had a dream. I’m not going to let that happen though.”

“No worries, I’m not marrying anyone, and if I am, it’s probably my ex-girlfriend when she stops with the scary questions,” He says with a true smile on his face. That doesn’t affect me, I don’t care... I don’t have to deal with a guy that cares more about his car then a kid. We were coming to a stop. Then I forgot to tell him where my apartment was. We weren’t near my apartment... He tricked me. We were going to where he intended to at the start.

“We’re going to my apartment. It’s near Seth’s area,” I told him.

“I’m getting a drink first,” He goes on. Not another fight...

“Turn now,” I ordered.

“It wasn’t a suggestion,” Demon looked at me with his cold blue eyes “Stay in the car and ignore anyone who talks to you. There is a gun under the seat if you need it.” My jaw drops open. He parks the car along the road. Then I hear a click and cold metal touch my skin while he was looking right at me. My heart skipped a beat. I looked down at my left wrist. My jaw dropped open more. He just hand cuffed me to the car seat.

“You-“ I stared off but he had left quickly leaving me alone and tied to the car. Yea, set me up for someone to rape me! My eyes shut in frustration. I felt awkward sitting here alone in the car. Some people stared over the car and at me. Since the car had no roof I was more noticed. I tug on the handcuff but I doubt Demon would be stupid enough to keep the key in my reach. I lean my head against the seat and wait. Somebody leaned against the car on my side. It was this man with a beard. Oh god... Old perverts were the worst.

“Good morning cutie, you’re a cute one aren’t you? Are you sixteen?” He asked with a toothless creepy smile. I made a face of disgust. I flutter my eyelashes and decide to ignore him. Stupid Demon had to handcuff me to the freaking car. I reached my free right hand under the seat for any gun. I tried to feel something but it was really far off.

“Are you sixteen little girl?” he repeated “Can I come in?” I didn’t even look at him until I saw a reflection of a knife. Oh no dumb shit, you can’t kill me before I have the chance to save my parents. I kept my mouth locked staring at the blade. I reached more into the seat.

“Uh... Who are you?” I ask him.

“Are you Lexis Anthis?” He asks me. Crap...

“No,” I answer.

“You are, aren’t you, you’re their daughter,” He was referring to my parents. I felt my anger boiling inside of me. There was no doubt I was going to let my anger consume me. I had grabbed for the gun in a snap and kept it near with me. My hazel eyes deeply looked at the man with hatred.

“Where are they, you son of a bitch? You better not fuck with me and my family I’ll fucking shoot your ass,” I threatened with no regrets. He just chuckled and smiled creepily at me.

“You are his daughter, he threatens the same way. Even when he’s tied up, just like you. Your sister is a whore isn’t she? She won’t be able to save you, can you give me the cash or are you going to let your parents die little one?” He threatens still holding the blade in his head.

“She isn’t a whore!” I exclaim even though she was “Where are my parents? I will shoot you if you don’t tell me.” His eyes slid over to my other right hand that was hiding. He try to move his hand with the blade near my neck but I pull out my gun and he moves the blade further. He’s scared for his life.

“If you kill me, then no doubt that you’re parents will be killed because I’m the one who collects the money,” He informs me.

“You’ll kill them anyway,” I say smartly.

“No,” He says. Lie... I was almost ready to spring tears in my eyes. I wanted to shoot him just because I was angry. If I really was going to kill him, then I’d end up in jail. Was I going to take that risk? Was I really going to kill a person for my parents mistake? The mistake of opening that stupid club?

“Are you going to pay? Or should I kill them?” He questioned me.

“I’ll pay but not now,” I gave my answer. Then I’ll get payback.

“You want your parents to die?”

“I don’t have the money now!” I exclaim.

“Later then little girl,” He says as his eyes flicker over to where Demon entered. Quickly he start to walk away. I couldn’t let him escape. The damn handcuff kept me at place. I needed to escape. I need to catch him and find where he is heading to. I’ll get a clue to where my parents hard. I pull on the handcuff as hard I could. I was starting to get burses on it. Then he fully left and Demon arrived. I felt a stab in my stomach. There was a deep urge to burst out into anger and tears. He jumped back into the car and put the key in action. I kept my head down low from showing any exposure to my true feelings.

“Hmm.... Where we go?” Demon was talking like a cave man.

“My freaking apartment you asshole,” I answer. He blinks and tries to look past my face. I turn my head the opposite way.

“Something happen...?” He asked. No everything just dandy.

“Nope, just go near to Seth’s street and I’ll tell you where to go from there,” I ordered him.
