Ch. 25 Over protective

                                                                Chapter 25

Twinkle twinkle little whore, close your legs they’re not a door.

Psycho is not amused about being placed in a group that might turn the whole survival show into mass murder horror movie. From the twitching of my eye to my angered fist that was craving to make an implant on her plastic nose. The devil is on to his plans through Ryan to place me in a situation that might just end the human race. The world’s got more to fear than Raven and Nikki combined if I have to bare one night with them. Psycho is going to be a real psycho. I’ll make sure to make her never want to come back. Simple way to deal with this, get rid of her.

I largely cleared my throat as I keyed my threatening psychotic glare to the two of them, sneaking away out of my view to make out while I tried to figure out the freaking MAP! Their eyes closed, and her mouth going all over his lips. Both of them were hard of hearing!

                                                                                I. Had. Enough

I snapped my weight behind me and stormed down a little further below the forest and raised a blunt heavy weighted fallen part of a tree behind my shoulder. The cameras around me shifted and the camera man nodded no to my reaction.

“You’ll get arrested,” He warned. Does it look like I care!? I wouldn’t be able to anything behind bars tough. I allowed the object to drop and glanced around for something just as effective. My eyes wonder around until I found a pile of poop.

“She’ll sue you,” He cautioned. Does it matter? Demon will pay for it. Everything I do, he’s accountable of. That’s what his mother promised me money and health wise. I shrugged and walked around until I caught sight of her backpack, I pulled out her blanket. I picked up the poop with her thick blanket and sprinted gracefully toward them again. Misty’s back leaned against the bark of the tree, being lifted my Demon. Her tongue lurked in his mouth and then she start kissing him down the neck. That’s it. She’s going to die.

“Misty! Take your towel before I dump it in the river,” I oh–so–sweetly smiled. Her head snaps toward me with wide alert eyes. I threw the blanket directly at her face. She caught it in her own hands and screamed bloody murder once the crap touched her fair skin. I attempted an evil laugh but it only came out as chocks of laughter. Tears of laughter were leaking. Demon glanced back at her with concern. Does he also want a poop blanket? Demon takes hold of the blanket and threw it out into the distance once his hands touched the poop as well.

Demon glanced at her face and created the most horrified stretched expression I ever seen. His lips were stretched, one eye was wide and the other was stretching. I’m guessing he couldn’t believe that just kissed that thing. Misty looked back at Demon’s horrified face, sadness consumed her at first but then it transferred to anger.

“WHAT THE HELL!?” Misty pierced my ears and made the animals hide. I was laughing too hard to care. Demon took a large step from her and lowered his head to throw up. His eyes followed to his open hands and they both glanced at me with hatred.

                                Oh, I just love hatred!

“Psycho, are you that jealous!?” Demon spat and start diving two meters to the left where the river was. Jealous of what? I was simply doing my job.

“We’re on your team, bitch!” Misty shrieked and rushed for the river. Demon shoed her from getting to close. Her screams echoed the surrounding area and yells toward Demon that he was just going to react this way and let me get away with it. What...? All the sudden, he’s her boyfriend.

“Think twice about slobbering your doggy tongue on my boyfriend bitch!” I was only acting the part. I couldn’t care less that he was my public boyfriend or not. It bothered me when he starts kissing others for no reason.

“Is it my fault you can’t keep a hold of him!?” She stormed down toward me. I wanted her crappy face at least five meters away from me.

“That’s his fault, not mine,” I shrugged and smirked “So keep off of him for the sake of your life. Do we have an understanding?”

“NO!” She screamed out and head back into the river with little sobs. You know what that means. Demon jumps into my personal bubble, staring me down. I did nothing wrong. He did. There’s even the cameras to prove that he declared war first.

“You’re jealous,” He smirked and sang out “Admit it, you’re J-e-a-l-o-u-s.” Lexis, give him a smack on the face and teach the boy a little common sense. I could but I’m pretty sure it turn more like a punch than a slap.

“Just doing my job Demon,” I reminded “Keeping away others from you.” The smirk remained on his face. He didn’t see me boosting every time I thought he was jealous.

“You used crap, you’re jealous psycho. You’re very jealous,” He start to giggle like a little girl. Does he want me to shove crap down his throat? The pleasure is all mine. I pressed my lips and wondered through my mind for a good comeback. I stretched my arms from behind and smiled, whispering quietly but enough that he could clearly hear “Tell that to your best friend.” I took steps toward a large tree. I was swung back by the strength of superman to bring me back to facing him.

“What do you mean by my best friend?” He strictly asked.

“It’s a secret,” My sly smile stretched and the rest of me stayed emotionless “Let me go.”

“No!” He spat “Psycho I swear if you’re seriously going after Nathan, you and Karen will be the cause of world war three.”

“It’s a secret,” I grinned “Why...? Are you jealous?”

“I’m just said I’m worried for humanity!” He clarifies.

“So...” I began my teasing “You’re jealous. Admit it, you hate seeing me with other guys. In fact, you can’t even stand Seth around me. You put your life on the line for me. Demon, I think you looooove me.”  Not an inch, not a breath came out of him. He stood frozen as an ice cube. The demon is blushing!  Oh–wait, he better know that I didn’t actually meant it.  I doubly blink and poked his chest. His slowly grew ability to move. His eyes popped up open and took a very slow step backwards, staring at me with horror.

“Are you teasing me? Did you just–kind of play with me? What did Nathan do to you!?” His face paled.

“No, Demon, the question is, what did I do?” I corrected.

“Did you have se–” He began.

“–no need to say the S word!” I childishly hushed.

“You did!?” His voice grew incredibly tiny. No... Of course not...

“It’s a secret,” My grin grew.

“If you did that with him, why not with me? Come on Psycho that’s not fair! I can’t have my girlfriend a social higher status than me!” He yelped. That’s what he’s worried about? JERK!

                “Oh, you’re still–”

“–SHHH! Don’t let the camera’s hear,” He pressured the palm of his hand over my mouth and looked around paranoid. I don’t know what was so wrong with being what he is. I find guys who hadn’t slept with girls yet more attractive than the ones that do.

“I’m going to kill him,” Demon hissed.

“I never said we did,” I reminded.

                “Did you?”

                “I don’t know, maybe,” I shrugged.

“Psycho this isn’t funny! Rape is not funny!”

“What makes you think I was–”

                 “–Because only girls get raped.”

                “Excuse me?” I snapped.

“By girls, I didn’t mean you,”

“Then what did you mean? What are you implying!?” I growled.

“I meant, Nathan convinced you somehow to sleep with him.”

“You know not any person in the world can convince me! Did you imply that I’m not a girl?”

“I’m implying that your starting to turn into a–” Demon caught his tongue and started to turn the other way. I grabbed him back by the shoulders, despite him being incredibly heavy and strong.

                “Turn into what?” I questioned.

                “Nothing...”

“Tell me before I shove crap down your throat,” I warned.

                “Good luck with that.”

“In case you didn’t notice, we’re in the wilderness and you have to sleep in it. That includes me messing with you during night.”

“We’ve got to get moving. The others are going further up the map.” Misty informed, taking steps toward us. She glanced between us suspiciously. Demon’s paled disturbed face gave it away. As much as I hated Misty, she was right. We had to move further and act quick to catch up with the others. There were only nine people in the show now. Lizzie dropped out last challenge. Nathan was with Raven and her old partner. Nikki stood with Brian and her old partner too.

Misty took hold of the map because she was much better than I or Demon could ever be with it. I gathered a couple of food on the path we were taking. I made sure to pick no berries I was unsure of. Demon was practically doing nothing but following us.

“Let me help,” Demon mutters. I picked up a few blue berries and put it in a pocket inside the bag. I continue to ignore Demon’s offer. He’d probably pick something that will poison us all. The path ahead grew more narrow. I switched around for the left of me and caught Demon. He was kneeling and picking out something that was classified poisonous. He was about to stuff it down his throat!

“Demon NO!” I screamed out and dived on his back. I stretched out my hand to reach what he held in his own. Fear pierced through my heart. Watery tears were developing in my eyes. I didn’t want something like that to happen again.

“Oh, so you’re jealous about me finding food now?” He scoffed, dangling it over his mouth tauntingly. I struck a fist over his head. He gasped as the berries fell off his hand. I switched around and squashed the berries with my foot. His blue eyes narrowed at me “You looooove to destroy everything I have.”

“Or save your life!” I pushed him over the shoulder. He  caught his step and stood up with confusion “What do you mean? I could have not starved!”

“That was poisonous. It could have killed you, idiot!” I exclaimed with a shaky voice.

“She’s right, they’re poisonous,” Misty nodded with agreement. He grew the same pale as before. This must have been the second time he’s been close to death. This time it wasn’t my fault. Now he can never say I’ve never saved his life.

“Oh... Tha-Are you crying?” Demon arched an eyebrow. What is he talking about? I stared back in confusion, rolled my eyes and took the next step down the path. I’m too good to hold tears to actually cry. Misty followed and motioned for me to go the northwest direction. My stomach ached of the quick fear it bared.

“Psycho... Are you okay?” Demon asked concerned.

“I’m fine,” I sighed “Just stop helping.”

“Okay, I’ll bite. Why do you really call each other Psycho and Demon?” Misty curiously asked. The path ahead sloped upward, all made out of rocks with no other path. The rocks were tiny and seemed very slippery to reach the top. I was again worried for his life because he could fall.

“It’s just our nicknames for each other,” I shrugged with little explanation.

“It started when we first met each other. I thought she was nuts, she thought I was demonic,” Demon blurt out. She didn’t have to know that.. I wasn’t willing to risk it.

I bit the bottom of my lip and blurt out the suggestion “Maybe we should take another way. It’s too high and slippery.” I fell more relaxed speaking the words out. We can now all turn around and find another path and live.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be right here to stop you from falling,” Demon easily smiled. Anyone else felt like punching him?

“It’s not that bad, we’ll help if you can’t climb,” Misty shrugged. I loudly screamed in my head. As if I needed anyone’s help to climb! My expression remained cold and unreadable. I sighed and smirked “Okay.” I planted my foot with perfect grip on the height and quickly climbed up with no problem. Once my foot planted on to the top, a large green field spread around us with beautiful view from below. I sat at the edge and gazed down. Both of their eyes watched with disbelieve.

“I was worried about you two, not me,” I admitted. His foot skidded against the rocky hill. My heart pumped up more blood then it should. I let out a breath of relieve when he caught his grip again and made it on top before Misty. I bit the bottom of my lip and calmed my pacing heart. I might just die of a heart attack.

“Are you okay?” Demon re-asked with sweat running down his forehead. I focused more onto the scar over his forehead that I left. The guiltiness of the situation marked me.

                “I’m fine,” I breathed out.

“You look scared,” Demon pointed out. I’m afraid you’ll accidently kill yourself.

“I’m not, I probably just look tired,” I shrugged it off. I crossed my legs and gazed over the sky. Soft colors blended with each other through the sky. Sun emitted a bright yellow glow and passing down the horizon. It would soon turn too dark to move anywhere. I moved further around the field and dropped my large bag. Sadly, we didn’t actually have a tent in our bags. I doubt anyone would bother to pitch a tent at all and just sleep with their sleeping bags. Misty and I start to set up camp and Demon, just got wood for the fire. By the time we finished everything, it was incredibly dark. We only had barriers to eat considering none of us wanted to eat bugs. The fire took hours and hours to create. Night hit and the three of us sat near the fire.

“I’m going to sleep,” Misty decided and gave a private wink to Demon. Demon grinned and gave her a wink back. Did they honestly believe I was dumb enough not to tell what they were going to do after they thought I was asleep? My glare poured into the back of Demon’s head. Once he saw my expression his smile faded.

“You’ve been warned,” I reminded. I stood up from where I sat and moved my sleeping bag between Misty’s and Demon’s. Both of the gave me hard glares that I pretended not to notice. If he wanted to go through her, he’s got to go around me. I doubt he’d be brave enough to do something so stupid. I climbed into my sleeping bag and hugged my shoulders. My eyes flutter into a close in the darkness of my eyelids. I could hear his footsteps moving around and him shifting toward his own sleeping bag. I slipped on a relaxed smile and allowed myself to drown into the darkness of sleep. For once in y life, I easily fell asleep.

A dream occurred and it felt incredibly real, especially the emotions I felt with them. He was dead. He died in that car accident. I was too late to pay for my parents kidnapping and they died but most importantly, he’s dead. It was because of me–no my parents fault. I lost everyone. They’re dead and gone and I’m here alive with no one. They left me all alone.

My fingers reached out for something to hold onto. His hand appeared in my reach and I gripped as tight as I could. I thought he died?

                *~*~*Demon*~*~*

I leaned forward from my sleeping bag. Psycho’s eyes was closed, she stayed still and sometimes flinched and dusted off invisible things in the air. I poked the middle of her forehead and she remained still. Just when I thought she had super human skills that could tell whenever I thought about making out with some girl. I crawled out of the sleeping and stood up. Misty’s eyes peaked over at with a seducing smile. Psycho’s not going to be the only one that isn’t a virgin anymore. I’m still going to kill Nathan. Slowly I took steps forward pass Psycho’s head.

An incredible force thrust me sideways by the hand. The serial killer is here! I looked below me and found it was only Psycho clinging on to me with force that could pull out my hand. She had supernatural powers after all. I and Misty exchange looks. She largely frowned and whispered “Just pull your hand back and ignore her.” I would if I could. There had to be some way. I looked below and carefully looked through the darkness of the night and at Psycho’s expression. I was afraid that she’d pop her eyes open like in a horror movie –but I saw something different. Tears ran down her eyes. What did that bastard do to her!?

“Psycho, wake up,” I tugged her shoulder with my free hand. Her other hand almost slapped me across the face!  Then her watered eyes slightly opened up. The sadness over her eyes made me numb.

“Damon don’t die,” She whispered. I stood there frozen and start feeling tears to emerge from my eyes.  Psycho is giving me feelings again! I took a heavy breath and decided to force myself to talk with this kind of heavy aura.

“I’m not going to die. I’m right here,” I promised.

“But you died,” She muttered. I’m not dead! Why would I be–oh, the car accident.

                “No I didn’t,” I said.

“Yes you did!” She whined “You left me alone. My parents, sister, are dead and Seth won’t talk to me.” Dream. I sighed and then fit myself into her sleeping back, zipped it back up. She watched me teary eyes, half asleep but still well aware I was here.

“I’m not going to leave you alone,” I promised, and pushed strands of hair off her face.

“Then why did you let me go?” She asked.

                “Go where?” I asked stupefied.

“Not where...! When you put yourself in front of me, so that the car would kill you not me. You didn’t have to let me live without you.”

I stopped in silence. I almost did the same thing as she’s done to me. I almost died on her. But, we both lived. It was getting hard for me to speak now. I didn’t want to be reminded of the past, both of my pasts.

“I didn’t, we’re both alive,” I clarified. She started to close her eyes and fall asleep. I started to move out but she gripped even tighter.

“Don’t leave me here alone,” She whispered. I hugged her and leaned my head on top of hers. One day, we’d have to. She’ll fall in love with someone else and I’ll be on my own. She’ll forget about ever wanting to be around me. The end.

“Only till the day you don’t want me anymore,” I replied. She huddled closer to my chest.

“I always want you,” She whispered and her voice faded. She was half asleep. She’ll probably forget this conversation ever happened. Better to move out of her sleeping bag when morning arrives, so that she doesn’t kill me and suddenly finds me in here with her. We still had one more days of withstanding Misty. Four more days until we’re done with this crappy survival show.

Was it just me or the grass was moving again? Oh well... At least I have her this close for once in my life. I looked down at psycho again. She was hiding in me like a scared shitless little girl. I couldn’t blame her. Her parents life is being threaten. The dick Seth told her that he didn’t love her as much as he thought. She gave him a big slap in the face but it didn’t change the fact that it marked her. Her sister was married to Lucien now.

Something in me felt as if there was something wrong back home. Psycho wasn’t the only one that felt that something terrible was going to happen. I should just sleep and wait to find out what that terrible thing is. We can’t do anything about it right now. I fell asleep with her close by.

                “Demon-demon-demon-demon-demon-demon-demon-DEEEEMOOOOON-DE-MON! WAKE UP!”

“WHAT?!” I burst up with popped eyes. I sat up and found psycho staring at me threateningly. Oh shit, I forgot to switch sleeping bags! She’s going to kill me!  Her hair was in a large mess, her eyes still puffy from last night.

“As much as a jerk you are, thanks you for sticking by,” A large smile sprouted on her face “It was pretty easy to stop you from going to Misty.” She planned this!? I narrowed my eyes and then fell down in the sleeping bag again. I shut my eyes and bared my anger for it. She’s psycho after all. Psycho started to push me over on my back and I largely groaned.

“Come on, get up...! We have to make it to the finish line before the rest of the team does,” Misty called out. I switched my eyes to follow Misty’s voice and I found her glare aiming toward me. That’s right, I forgot that we had a plan last night. I completely forgot about her.

“What happened last night?” Nate asked. Why is he here!? I need to beat some sense into him! I stood up from where I sat and stormed down right in front of him. Raven and Ralph was also beside them. Did Psycho and Misty made some alliance without me?

“What did you do to Lexis when you were together?” I demanded and then noticed that his shirt was missing “Aren’t you cold man?” He pointed to psycho and she was wearing his shirt.

“She was cold and uncomfortable with hers. I’ve got another one in my bag,” Nate smiled back at psycho. I glanced back at psycho and she moved ‘payback.’

“Wait till Karen hears that you slept with each other,” I smirked.

“Slept...?” Nate asked and glanced over Psycho “You told him we slept with each other?”

“No, I just said we had a secret and he thought it was that,” Psycho shrugged.

“So it’s not? What’s the secret?” I asked. Both of them exchanged looks.

                “It’s a secret,” Nate finished.

“Dude, I hope you know that I will kill you,” I warned.

“Not if I have Raven and Nikki on my side,” Nate grinned. He had a point. How did he get the slaughters on his side? No one could take control over them. Apparently, the girls did make alliance with them. We packed our stuff and headed for the finishing line. Psycho and Nate was having a long conversation on the way. She was playing around with him and it was working. She’s really good. As proud as I am that she could play around, it worried me since she basically said she never wanted to get serious with anyone again. This will end up bad if she continues to believe in that.

We arrived first and Nikki’s group arrived last. But that wasn’t a big deal. It’s when Ryan came, things turned to hell.

“Damon, Lexis, there’s a phone call you must take,” Ryan strictly called.

Both of us, even without even being told that it was bad news, grew pale and afraid.
