Bombshell

I'm whizzing through the forest the same way Edward did all those weeks ago. In normal circumstances it would've been cool, but not now. Instead of enjoying the cool forest air and sent of pine I'm filled with dread and worry.

I hear dozens of footsteps behind me. The Cullens are following me.

"Bella stop! There's something you need to know first!" Alice desperately calls out to me.

"I don't want to know! I just need to see my dad!"

"You really don't want to do this!" Says Rosalie.

But it's too late. The small forks home stood just before us. No turning back now.

"Dad! Dad!" I call, jogging to the kitchen window.

I look inside and gasp. "What the-,"

My father is weeping. He's hunched over the kitchen counter. Behind him is Jacob and his father, a few classmates from school and even more surprising, my mother.

My new ears tuned in to the abysmal gathering.

"Will it be open casket?" I hear someone from school whisper.

"No. The body was too mangled. Apparently the cops could barley even identify her."

"This is like so sad." I heard Jessica weep.

I have to hold my hand over my mouth to keep from crying out. Everyone thinks I'm dead...

"What did you do!" I turn to scream at the Cullens, still frozen behind me.

"We did what had to be done. How suspicious is everyone going to be when they're rocking grey hair and wrinkly skin while you don't look a day over 17! We warned you that turning over would have consequences. This is just one of many." Rosalie sneered.
She seemed even more hostile to me now that I was a vampire than when I was human.

"You should've given me a few more years with him! Ever heard of the 27 club?!"

"More time would have just made it harder to let go of your past. The life you knew is no more. This is the beginning of a new era with a new family. Us." Normally, hearing Carlisle's smooth voice would calm me down but in this instance it only made me more angry.

"I'm not sure I want to be apart of this family." I turn my back on them with tears in my eyes. I didn't know vampires could cry!

"But Bella-,"

"Edward, just leave her." Jasper drags Edward away by the wrist. One by one the family leaves Bella staring lifeless to into the house. Only Carlisle remaining.

"Well, you have two weeks to decide if you want to join us. We will be moving to Alaska at the end of the school year so you need to make a decision by then."

"Whatever." I cross my arms and turn my back towards him. I stand still until I hear his footsteps disappear.

"I knew it."

My head snapped up at the sound of Jacob's voice. He stood before me with a look of disgust.

"Jacob! I didn't hear you coming."

"Well you should've. I thought you people had good hearing!"

"You people?"

"When the news broke that you were missing last week I knew exactly where you had gone. I mean, I knew you were thinking about turning but I never thought you were going to go through with it! I could have protected you Bella! With me and the rest of pack at my side you would have bee safe."

"I would've picked you if I knew this would happen." I say softly.

This only makes Jacob more upset. "Oh so it takes your own death for you to see the light? Your an idiot. Even worse, your a smelly one too."

"Jacob-,"

"Don't talk to me."

"But-,"

"Ever!"

Jacob storms off back into the house. I stand outside feeling a wave of shame come over me.

What have I done?!
