i'm in class

working on an assignment

all the students are talking with their friends

not me

i'm all alone

but i'm okay with it

then i hear her laugh

oh how i missed her laugh

i look up from my assignment

and see her laughing the way we used to

but with someone else

i see her look at them

the way she used to look at me

i remember her looking at me like that

when she made me promise we would be together forever

i never thought that promise would be broken

i never thought she would be the one to break the promise

now i really feel alone

and i'm not okay with it
