(Y/n) and Oliver walked hand in hand down the train station platform. (Y/n) was both excited and sad, excited because this was going to be her first holiday with Oliver, sad because it hadn't snowed yet. Winter had always been her favorite season, but this year, the late snow was putting a damper on her spirit. Oliver was to spend the whole break with (Y/n) at her house. The couple was excited as could be, but (Y/n) had warned Oliver about her father, he could be a bit of a handful, especially when it came to her social life. When the two arrived at her house, they were greeted by the smell of cookies. Soon after, two figures appeared in the narrow hallway leading to the rest of the house. (Y/n)'s mother all but ran down the hallway to greet the pair. Her father on the other hand, took slower steps toward the couple, with a scowl on his face. (Y/n)'s mother was overjoyed to see Oliver, she began by giving him a tight hug, followed by some cheek pinching. (Y/n) looked up at Oliver apologetically, while he just smiled back at her. Finally, (Y/n)'s father made it to greet them. He frowned as he looked Oliver up and down, completely ignoring the disapproving look on his wife's face. Finally (Y/n) broke the silence,
"Dad, this is Oliver, he's my boyfriend, and you will be nice okay?"
"Okay fine, for your sake. It's nice to meet you Oliver"
"Nice to finally meet you too sir"
"Oohhh and he's polite too!"
"Mom stop, you're embarrassing"
(Y/n) led Oliver past her parents, and down the hallway further into the house. Oliver's eyes wandered around the interior, before landing on (Y/n), he puller her closer, their lips were only inches away when,
"Ahem!"
They pulled away quickly, putting distance between them, (Y/n)'s father was standing a few feet away, with his arms crossed, and a frown on his face. (Y/n) glared at her father, while Oliver looked at his feet, and shuffled awkwardly. (Y/n) pulled Oliver to her room, and closed the door.
"Sorry, my parents are... where to start, embarrassing, weird, I could keep going"
"It's alright, I'm glad I finally get to meet them, and maybe by the end of this, I can win over your father"
"I don't know Oliver, but you can definitely try"
Oliver smiled, and pulled (Y/n) into a hug, kissing the top of her head lightly. A loud knock on the door startled the couple,
"THE DOOR STAYS OPEN!"
"Go away dad!"
(Y/n) heard footsteps slowly walking away from the door. Oliver let out a small laugh, he tried to cover it with a cough, but couldn't contain it, and burst out laughing, to (Y/n)'s dismay. (Y/n) frowned at him, but his laugh was contagious, and soon enough, she was laughing as well. After their laughter had subsided, (Y/n) glanced out her window, something caught her eye. She got up and walked over, and saw snow falling from the sky. She let out a high pitched squeal, and ran over to Oliver. She grabbed his arm and dragged him out into the hallway, threw him his coat, put her own on, and pulled him outside. He watched (Y/n) with confusion, but followed her anyway. When the duo got outside, Oliver realized why (Y/n) was so excited, a smile came to his face as he watched her run around trying to catch some of the flakes. She ran back to him, and he looked at her in awe, she looked beautiful, the cold making her cheeks flush pink, and snowflakes glinting in her hair. He couldn't help himself, he pulled her towards him, and placed a gentle and loving kiss on her lips. He pulled away to the feeling of something hitting him in the back. He turned around to see (Y/n)'s father standing there with a frown on his face, and a snowball in his hand. (Y/n) looked around Oliver at her father, and bent down and made her own snowball. She threw it at her father, and he retaliated by throwing one back at her. This went back and forth for a bit, (Y/n) using Oliver as a human shield. Soon, Oliver bent down to make some snowballs of his own. The first one he threw was aimed at (Y/n). Direct hit. She looked at him in shock, before getting a mischievous look on her face, before throwing three back at him. Oliver tried to dodge them, but was unsuccessful. Oliver threw another a (Y/n), but missed. Oliver watched in horror as the snowball struck (Y/n)'s father. (Y/n)'s father frowned, but then soon laughed, and threw one back at Oliver. Their snowball fight lasted for a while longer, before (Y/n)'s father decided it was too cold for him to stay outside. The three filed inside, shedding their coats. Oliver and (Y/n)'s father went into the living room, and sat down, while (Y/n) went into the kitchen to find her mother. Moments later, the two men heard (Y/n)'s voice from the kitchen,
"What do you mean we don't have any hot chocolate?!!"
