I'll Do The Talking Minho (tmr)

Auther;
Plot; Minho imagine where you come up the box and you don’t want to speak to anyone but then Minho comes over when everyone else has tried and finally gets you to speak

Darkness. That was the only thing you seemed to comprehend at that moment. So dark you could barely see a metre in front of you. Everything else just felt like it wasn’t real, you couldn’t even take it in. It felt like you were moving but you weren’t sure which direction, then you could hear squealing and grunting like an animal of some sorts but you didn’t know where it was coming from.

Light suddenly blinds you causing you to lift your hands up and shield your eyes. The box suddenly comes to a grinding and quick holt jolting your body forward. You can hear numerous voices as the grid above you gets opened up. A body suddenly jumps down beside you causing you to shuffle into a corner and conceal your face behind your knees.

“It’s a girl.”

“Greenie, let’s get you out of here.” The blonde haired boy says as he holds out his hand to help you up. You stare at his hand in uncertainty. “I promise we won’t hurt you, you’re safe.” He promises. Cautiously you grab his hand and he helps you up and out of the pit. As you feel all their eyes on you, you self consciously wrap your arms around your self as you stare back at them. You can feel yourself shaking from the nervousness you feel.

“You don’t remember anything right?” The boy asks and you shake your head.

“Your name will come back, don’t worry.” He says. You stand in silence as you stare at eachother. “Ok.. this is normally the time where you throw a bunch of questions at me.” He states. You did have so many questions, where were you, why were you here, why were you the only girl but every time you tried to speak the nerves just took over you and you shut your mouth.

“Can she even talk?” A voice asks and you knew you could but somehow can’t at the same time so you did nothing and continued to stand there.

“Well can you?” Another boy retorts as he shoves his way in front of you, you blink in fear and study his face and distinct eyebrows. “Gally settle down.” The blonde hair boy snaps. “Maybe she can’t.” “Or maybe she just doesn’t want to.” Another voice says as an important looking guy appears.

“Alby about time.” The one called Gally says. “The girl won’t talk.”

Alby studies you for a while locking eyes with you and you felt like he was looking into your soul.

“Get the boys lined up, we’re going to see if she talks to one of them.” Alby says, “Maybe she’ll connect with one.” He says. “That’s ridiculous.” Gally scoffs. “She’s just being a bloody shank.” He sneers and Alby glares at him causing him to shut up.

One by one all the boys came up to you and tried to get you to say something. You could see all the others straining their ears to hear what they were saying. Some of them were nice, trying to ask questions about you others cracked jokes, the blonde haired boy Newt and another boy Thomas were the closed to getting you to speak and you could feel yourself almost calming down enough until they were ripped away and someone yelled “Alright that’s enough time.”

There was one boy that you noticed, an Asian boy that hadn’t tried to talk to you, he was attractive with tanned skin and a kind yet firm look in his eyes. You stared at him as the last person in line, Gally came and stood before you. The boy glanced up and stared back at you with one eyebrow raised, you mustered a small smile which he returned. For some odd reason he had a sense of familiarity about him, like you knew him before this whole thing.

“Greenie!” The voice yelled snapping you out of your thoughts. “Just bloody talk already, I know you can!” He sneers. You narrow your eyes at him and shake your head which angered him more. “Just speak girlie!” He yelled in your face as the Asian boy grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him away. “Stop trying to scare her you bloody shank!” He hisses angrily. He glances back at you as Gally walks away before turning to Alby and mumbling something in his ear before walking away.

It was getting dark at this point and all the boys had tried and failed to get you to talk. “Alright boys, go have dinner.” Alby shouts causing the boys to groan and drag themselves away from you. “*yn*!” Alby calls causing you to walk over. “We’ve set up a temporary hut for you, we’ll build you a better one in time so you can have privacy but I’ll take you to it, are you hungry?” He asks and you reply with a shake of your head.

“That’s what I thought.” He chuckles before beginning to walk away as you stumble after him like a lost puppy. He leads you into a small hut, only big enough for a bed and some leg room, but it was good enough for you.

“I’ll see you in the morning.” He says and you give him a smile hoping he understands you mean thank you. He seems to as he returns the smile before shutting the door behind you.

You sigh and walk over to the bed, you lie down on it and prop your head up on the pillow. You lie there for what must have been hours, staring at the ceiling as you hear the loud noises of the boys slowly fade as it gets later and later.

Suddenly you hear a knock at the door, startling you. Cautiously you open the door peaking your head out. To your surprise you see the good looking boy, the one who got rid of Gally standing there. “Hi, your *yn* right?” He asks and you nod. “Is it ok if I come in?” He asks and you nod again opening the door for him.

He comes and sits on your bed and pats the spot next to him which you happily take. “I’m Minho by the way.” He smiles and you nod and smile back. “Anyway I just came around because I didn’t talk to you today and I feel like I should.” He states. “So anyway, I know you haven’t spoken to anyone but I noticed that no one really told you about where you are, it’s called the Glade.” He begins. He talked and talked for what must be an hour or more, you didn’t mind though, you sat there immersed in his words as he explained everything about the Glade, the roles of everyone, the maze, the grievers, Alby, everything. He told you heaps of stories too which some made you smile widely sometimes and sad the others.

It was good to have someone just, talk and do it for you, not expecting you to fill in the silence. Everyone else had just asked you questions about you but Minho just talked and you felt like you knew him longer than you really had. Maybe that was why you trusted him, the sense of familiarity was too great to ignore. The more he talked and joked the more you felt yourself becoming relaxed. “So Thomas is the newest Greenie before you and you are the first girl to ever come up here which has got all the other shanks in a frenzie, but I reckon it’s going to be great having you here.” He grins causing you to blush.

“Oh yeah so anyway I’m most famous in the Glade for my hair because I mean look at this quiff.” He jokes fluffing up the front of his hair and winking at you causing you to grin. “ But I mean you can teach us how to you know do that thing with your hair, where you get the three sections and you twist it-” He says trying to mime it. “You mean braids.” You correct. ‘Yeah braids that’s it! If you know how to do it! I’m sure most of the guys have long enough hair for you t-” He cuts himself as he stares at you with wide eyes.

“Did you just- what did you just say?” He asks. “I said do you mean braids.” You laugh but then stop as your eyes widen in realization. “Did you just-” “Did I just” You both say at the same time staring at eachother in shock. “You just spoke.” He laughs and jumps up and hollers in delight. “I guess I just feel comfortable around you.” You giggle as he pulls you up and makes you dance with him. You squeal as he spins you around and out and pulls you back in.

“Do you remember your name?” He asks excitedly.

“Yeah, it’s *yn*!” You laugh as the name comes back to you.

“*yn*, such a beautiful name that goes with a beautiful voice that belongs to a beautiful girl.” He smirks winking causing you to blush and laugh.

“You know what we need to do?”

“What?” You ask.

“We need to go sing and shout and wake all the boys up!” He grins.

“No way-”

“No, no’s let’s go!” He laughs pulling you outside as you protest and begins to shout at the top of his lungs. Maybe you wouldn’t even get the chance to talk anyway, seeing as Minho did most of it for you.
