chapter 11

As Alisha made her way home, her thoughts turned to zafeer and the choice she had to make.

She knew it wouldn't be easy, that it would take courage and conviction.

But as she stepped through the door, her eyes fell on the Ring zafeer had given her, and she knew what she had to do. She gathered her courage and called him up, "I want to see you zafeer, can we meet at the nearest restaurant,? She said, her heart racing.

Zafeer was surprised, but decided to accept her request. "Okay, why not? I will be there in no time." He said, his voice was calm.

Alisha dressed in a dazzling golden gawn, looking extremely beautiful.

Alisha sat across from zafeer in the cafe, her heart racing with nerves and anticipation. She knew that what she was about to do was risky, but she couldn't ignore the feelings she still had for him.

"Zafeer," she began, her voice trembling with emotion. "I wanted to talk to you about something important."

Zafeer looked at her, his expression guarded. "What is it, Alisha?" He asked, his voice calmed and controlled.

Alisha took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to say. "I know things didn't end well between us," she said, her voice trembling. "But I also know that I still have feelings for you."

Zafeer's face darkened, his eyes clouding with emotion. "Alisha, that's in the past," he said, his voice firm. "I'm sorry, but I don't think it's a good idea to revisit it."

Alisha's heart sank, but she pressed on, her voice resolute. "I understand, zafeer," she said, her eyes filled with tears. "But I also know that I have to speak my truth, no matter how difficult it may be.

"And my Truth is that I care for you, and I always will,"

Zafeer was silent, his expression unreadable. Alisha's heart raced, the tension In the restaurant palpable.

And then, a slow clap began to separate through the room, growing louder and louder until the whole cafe was clapping in support.

Zafeer looked up, his eyes wide with surprise. Alisha's face flushed, get heart filling with gratitude. "Thank you,"  she murmured, her voice filled with emotion.

Zafeer turned to her, his expression softening. "Alisha, he said, his voice filled with compassion. "

Zafeer took a deep breath his heart pounding as he kneeled down in front of Alisha. The sunset cast a warm, golden glow over them, adding to the magic of the moment.

"Alisha, my love," zafeer began, his voice trembling with emotion. "From the moment I met you, I knew you were the one for me. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

Tears welled up to Alisha's eyes as she nodded, unable to speak through her overwhelming happiness. Sealing their love with the promise of forever.

But just as they were about to embrace, ikram appeared out of nowhere, her face twisted in anger.

"You can't steal zafeer away from me, Alisha!" Ikram shouted, her voice cutting through the tranquility of the moment.

Zafeer's eyes flashed with irritation as he stood up to face ikram. "I never loved you, ikram, and I never will," he declared firmly. "I love Alisha, and I always will."

Ikram gasped in shock, her face turning red with rage. She stormed off, leaving zafeer and Alisha alone once more.

Zafeer looked into Alisha's eyes, his gaze filled with love and determination. "I will always choose you, Alisha, no matter what obstacles come our way. I love you more than words can express."

Alisha knew that their love was stronger than any challenge that could ever come their way.

Zafeer felt guilty for ikram's harsh words towards Alisha and knew he needed to make things right. He took a deep breath and approached her, his heart racing with nerves.

"Alisha, I'm sorry for what ikram said earlier. I love you more than anything and I want to make it up to you," zafeer said, his voice full of  regret.

Alisha looked at him with tesars in her eyes, still hurt by ikram's words. She wanted to believe him but she was scared of getting hurt again.

Zafeer grabbed her veil gently, "please come with me to see my mom. I want to show her how much you mean to me. I promise it will be different this time."

Alisha hesitated, the fear of rejection lingering in her mind. But she knew zafeer loves her and wanted to get things right.

Finally, she nodded and grabbed her veil back, "okay, let's go."

As they walked to zafeer's house, Alisha couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. But she trusted zafeer and hoped that this time, things would be different.

Alisha felt a knock in her stomach grow tighter.

Zafeer's heart sank as his mother welcoming smile turned into a cold glare, his fiance, ikram, stood by her side, watching Alisha in disdain

His mother's voice was sharp as she spoke, "I can't believe you would bring someone like her her, zafeer. She's not welcome in our home."

Alisha felt a rush of pain and humiliation as she heard the words. Tears welled up in her eyes as she tried to speak, "I'm sorry didn't mean to."

But before she could finish, the Sharp sound of ikram's laughter filled the ground. "Pathetic," she sneered, "you actually thought you could be part of our family? You are nothing but a joke."

Alisha's heart shattered as the insults hit her like a wave. Without another word, she turned and ran out of the house, the tears falling freely down her cheeks.

Zafeer watched in shock as Alisha fled, his heart aching with regrets, he wanted to go after her, to beg for forgiveness, but couldn't find the words.

As he stood there, overcome with guilt, his mother's voice cut through the silence, "I told you she wasn't good enough for me you, zafeer. She's better off without you ."

Zafeer felt a mixture of pain and sorrow as he realized the depth of his mistake. He had lost the woman he loved because of his own foolishness. And now, he didn't know if he would ever be able to make things right.
