*Laur's POV*

"You're going to do what now?" I asked in disbelief. Michael I can understand wanting to skydive, but Luke? I didn't think he had it in him.

"Skydive babe! Trust me, I'll be fine" Luke smiled at me. Honestly I know he'll be okay but..... I'm a woman I worried a lot. Maybe a little too much.

"Yeah, Laur. He'll be fine!" Michael cheered

I glanced over at Em who was laughing at herself because we both know somehow this is going to end badly "whatever you say. Well then, all of us will be waiting for you when you're done"

"Love you" Luke said kissing me before running off with Michael. I shouted a love you back and walked over to where Em had gone with the monsters we call children, well except Soph who was currently at the Hood house.

"Mummy, is daddy going to be okay?" Matty asked me

I couldn't help but chuckle "of course. Daddy may be stupid sometimes and trusting Uncle Mikey, but he'll be okay"

"I'm worried"

"Me too bud, but they have a professional with them so nothing bad happens" I smiled at him brushing his light brown hair off his forehead

"That makes me feel better" Matty giggled "Mummy, I'm kind of hungry now"

It was my turn to giggle "of course you are. Come on, let's go see what they have in the gift shop"

Moments like this I wish time could stay frozen forever. Laying silently next to Luke in bed. My head laid perfectly on his bare chest, our legs tangled together and his left hand drawling small shapes on my thigh. I was content. It was like my favorite place or even a getaway. I loved it.

"I love this" Luke whispered, bringing me closer. I couldn't help but giggle and lean up to kiss his cheek "what?"

"I literally just thought that" I giggled again "and I pretty much have Disconnected playing in my head"

Luke's chest vibrated from his laugh"I like the summer rain, I like the sounds you make. We put the world away, we get so disconnected"

"I love it when you sing to me, sing to me palo!"

"Palo?" Luke looked at me with his eyebrows bunched together

"You never seen the Lizzie McGuire movie?"

"Uh... No?" Luke replied

"Well we are going to fix that then" I giggled. Just then our perfect moment was cut short by the sounds of our lovely children yelling at each other

Luke groaned "time to be parents"

*Luke's POV*

"You ready Mumble?"

"Nope" Soph stuck her face in her hands "I can't do it"

"Yes you can. Hey if I can do it, then you sure can" i reassured her

"Promise?"

"Have I let you done yet mumble?"

"I guess not" Soph said softly

"I haven't. Now go in there, kick ass and get your driving plates"

Soph giggled "I love you dad"

"Love you more, now go" I pushed Soph towards the building

almost 17 years old and she is just now getting her driving plates. Although I can't say anything because I was older then that.

I chuckled at my own tweet before a notification came through

I love embarrassing her. It's so much fun. Before I could even realize, two hours have passed and Soph was standing in front of my with her driving plates in her hand.

I smiled at her "see, I told ya you could do it"

"Yeah yeah. Can I drive home?" Soph asked. I gave her this weary look before slowly handing the keys over to her

"Please please, be careful"

"I promise dad"

I was rudely awoke by Laur who had this uncomfortable look on her face "what's with you?"

"I think someone is in the house" Laur whispered, looking at the door

"What do you mean?" I asked, more alert now. I honesty didn't think any intruder had actually gotten in the house because Ohana was still sleeping soundly at my feet.

"I'm telling you I heard people whispering down stairs"

"Babe I highly doubt anyone broke into the house, I mean Ohana hasn't even woken up for it"

"It just... Something doesn't feel right" Laur spoke softly laying back down only to jump back up again when we heard people talking down stairs, also waking up the dog "see!"

"Alright alright. I'll go check it out" I sent her a reassuring smile before slowly making my way down the long hallway and down the steps. Even if there were any intruders in the house, I'd have an advantage because 1) it's my house and 2) all the lights are off.

The whispering conversation that Im hearing was coming from the kitchen. Turing the corner, there sat Soph and Cullen eating ice cream at the table. "What the hell is going on? Do you kids know it's almost three in the morning?"

"Well yeah" Said Soph

I glanced at Cullen "and what might you be doing here so late? Does your parents know?"

"Dad, chill" Soph spoke softly

"No I will not chill. It's almost three in the morning and you gave your mother a heart attack upstairs" I looked at both of the kids.

Cullen was the first one to speak "I'm sorry uncle Luke, this was all my idea"

"It's alright. Just please make sure I or aunt Laur knows you're here alright?"

"Alright" Soph said

I was about to leave them for the night when Cullen stopped me "Uncle Luke?"

"Yeah?" I turned to face them

"Would it be alright if I slept on the couch?" He asked "Dad would kill me if I came in this late"

"You sure you want the couch?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow

"What do you mean?" Soph asked a little surprised

"Guys I'm not stupid. No matter what your Mum says" I pointed towards Soph "anyway, you guys are dating now so I'm sure you guys did the deed already"

"Dad!" Soph groaned, but the slight smirk on Cullen's face told me i was right. Yeah, that's Calum's child

"What? I'm just being truthful" I shrugged "anyway I have no issue with you guys sleeping in the same bed. Just keep it safe"

Soph groaned again "Dad, please just stop"

"Alright, alright. I'm going back to bed. Night guys"

The both managed a 'Night' as I walked away and back up to the master bedroom where Laur was sitting up in bed watching the tv.

"Everything alright down there?" Laur asked

I got in bed and scooted closer to her, wrapping an arm around her snuggling my face in her side as she still sat up watching tv "yeah, it was just Soph and Cullen"

"Cullen?" Laur asked surprised "does Casey and Cal know he's here?"

"Probably not. Cuddle with me" I whined at her

"So needy" Laur giggled, but scooted down so she was eye level with me, and yes cuddled

"I was so rudely awaken" I said dramatically

"Oh shut up" Laur kissed me and we settled into this comfortable silence. Soon we were joined by Ohana who regained his spot down by my feet and we weren't disturbed for the rest of the night.
