ninety four: moving in

author's note: a) the important chapter in my book is technically considered a chapter so i "skipped" to chapter ninety four in a sense & b) i'm taking a little break from the current series as of right now. the comment really got to me and affected my ability to write on that series and it's a good thing- to help make someone truly aware of what people might think of the fanfiction i'm writing. i'll be back with it whenever i feel as if i can change it and truly think about everything i wrote and how it could've affected people.

you always made random traveling trips to different stores you needed to go but for some reason, reid had been acting weird about you leaving.

that morning, he had an early case so he was unable to see you much that morning besides telling you goodbye as you had just shifted in response to him pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead before humming softly and contently as he smiled before leaving.

you had woken up a little while after he left and were hanging around his apartment for a while like you normally did when you saw a file laying on the coffee table, causing you to immediately grab it and throw on some shoes and one of reid's shirts as well as some nicer sweatpants as compared to shorts and your ratty, old t shirt you previously had on.

you had to bring it to him.

-
when you got to the bau, you walked in to see prentiss first.

"hey, _____! what're you doing here?" she asked, taking a sip of her coffee.

"reid left a file," you told her. "so i was bringing it back to him. do you know where he is?"

"he said he was going to talk to garcia," she said. "but that was several minutes ago so, i'm not really sure."

you nodded, thanking her before walking off to see where he might be. when he saw you, he came right over to you, wrapping his arms around you tightly.

"hey, hey, spence," you said, your arms wrapped loosely around his neck as you held onto the file. "what's going on with you?"

"i love you," he replied but you shook your head.

"spence," you said. "you can't deflect the conversation this easily. you've been acting all weird lately."

he let out a sigh.

"sometimes cases get to your head," he explained as you nodded. "and one of the recent cases really got into my head of what might happen to you if i'm not checking in on you."

"i stay over at your apartment every night and day, spence," you said back softly. "i haven't been to my apartment for months. i'm surprised it's still mine."

"i like having you there," he muttered, rubbing his thumb over the spot in your back that always made you weak. "you're nice to see whenever i wake up to go work on a case."

you smiled, tightening your grip on him now.

"spencer reid, are you asking me to move in with you?"

he nodded. "yeah," he said awkwardly with a slight laugh to follow.

you smiled to yourself but knew he could sense it.

"i wouldn't want it any other way."
