Parking Lot

Quirkless AU

White specks scattered across the black sky. The bright full moon scarcely lit the darkened town below. A blonde and greenette walked side by side in the dark, walking on the concrete next to the road. The greenette held a small dog in his arms, absently wagging its tail. The two boys blended into the night as they wore black and white tuxedos. It was cold and breezy, the soft gentle wind hitting their faces. It was a beautiful night, perfect for the event the school was holding.

"Thanks, Kacchan, for helping me find Nori. I'm glad nothing bad happened to him." Izuku smiled, hugging his furry best friend.

"Yeah, whatever, nerd, just be careful with him next time," Katsuki muttered.

"I will." Izuku beamed, holding the small white fluffy dog close to his chest.

They walked through town, heading back to Katsuki's car which the blonde had parked on the side of the road next to the park where they had lost Nori. They weren't too far from the car, maybe a few minutes away, maybe further. They had been looking for the dog for hours, even if they hadn't realized it yet. Once the three found Katsuki's black car, Izuku let Nori inside first in the back. Katsuki got onto the driver's seat while Izuku took his spot in the passenger seat. It wasn't until the greenette buckled in when he realized the time.

"Oh no, Kacchan! It's ten-thirty pm!" Izuku suddenly exclaimed.

"So?" Katsuki grumbled, starting the car.

"That means we missed prom..." Izuku groaned, falling back against the car seat.

"...I don't get why it means so much to you. Why does it matter if we go to prom or not? It's just a stupid dance, Deku." Katsuki muttered, his sharp ruby eyes on the empty road in front of him. Izuku sighed at his boyfriend's question, leaning his head against the window as he stared at the world that flew past them.

"Well, because...This is our last year of high school, Kacchan. Our last chance to have fun and enjoy the night before we're considered adults and we have to focus on college. It's our last chance to be...Kids." Izuku explained.

"And I really wanted to have that dance with you." Izuku quietly added.

Katsuki huffed a small annoyed sigh. He glanced at Izuku, noticing his visible disappointment. He made a small 'hmph', looking back at the road. Suddenly, an idea popped into the blonde's head. Instead of driving back to Izuku's house, the blonde made a turn toward the large shopping mall that stood in the middle of town. When Katsuki made this sudden turn, Izuku looked over to him questioningly. The mall was closed, there wasn't a reason to be driving there this late at night. When the blonde didn't answer the obvious question Izuku asked with his look, the greenette looked away, curious about what Katsuki had planned. Katsuki drove into the mall's large parking lot when they arrived. It was empty, only lit by the lamp post that was scattered around the large parking lot. Katsuki parked in the middle of the empty parking lot, looking over to Deku.

"Get out, leave the door open." He ordered.

"W-wait, what?" Izuku said with bewilderment.

"You heard me," Katsuki said with a small smirk. Izuku sighed before getting off the car, leaving his door open as Katsuki had asked.

For a moment, Izuku thought he was gonna leave him at the parking lot and drive away but the greenette immediately shook the thought away, knowing Kacchan would never do that to him. He only stood a few feet away from the car, trusting Katsuki and whatever he planned on doing. It was a minute or two later when Izuku heard Katsuki yelling. He peaked inside, looking at the sight. The blonde was yelling at someone through his home. Considering Deku heard him yell 'Shittyhair', he figured it was Kirishima he was talking to. It confused Izuku but he stayed quiet, patiently waiting outside, glancing briefly at Nori from time to time who stared at him through the window.

It wasn't until another minute or so passed when Izuku heard music softly playing in the car. He couldn't identify it at first until Katsuki put the volume up to the max. It played loudly now, anyone near the car could hear it clearly. Izuku wasn't familiar with the song but he knew it was Can't Help Falling In Love by Haley Reinhart. The same song UA played for prom during the last few minutes for the high school couples. But only Katsuki knew that.

Izuku looking over with a puzzled look. He paused when Katsuki opened the door and got off the car, closing the driver's door behind him. The blonde walked over to Izuku, standing before him with a smirk on that beautiful face of his that Izuku always adored. The greenette's heart raced when Katsuki offered a hand and said five words that were enough to make Deku blush.

"Can I have this dance?"

Izuku was hesitant since they were standing in the middle of an empty parking lot with nothing but a lamp post for light but he nodded, taking his hand. Katsuki took a step forward, placing Izuku's hand on his shoulder while his other hand landed on his waist. Izuku softly smiled, trailing his other hand on Katsuki's neck while Katsuki's hands were on his waist. Their foreheads touched as they gently swayed to the beautifully slow song. Izuku closed his eyes, taking in Katsuki's cologne. Everything drifted away at that moment, it felt as if they were the only ones in the world, dancing away to a perfect fantasy. It filled Izuku's heart with joy. He felt special. Loved.

Izuku couldn't help but smile brightly at the moment. It made him too happy. Katsuki noticed his smile and met his green eyes, a smile of his own on his lips. Izuku's smiles were truly contagious, especially for Katsuki.

"You didn't have to do this, y'know," Izuku murmured.

"And what, hear you complain all night? Besides, you said you wanted to dance with me, right?" Katsuki said with a sly grin before he took a few steps back making Izuku's hands slid off his shoulders into his own palms. The blonde then spun his boyfriend, causing him to giggle. Katsuki chuckled, pulling him back close to him. Their hands were back in their original places.

"I love you, Kacchan..." Izuku purred.

"You know I love you, nerd," Katsuki muttered, their faces inches away from each other. Izuku only cracked a gleeful smile before pecking Katsuki's lips. A smirk tugged Katsuki's lips before they attacked Izuku's once more. Izuku blushed but returned the passionate kiss as the song they danced to died out in the background.

Nothing but the sound of the wind filled their ears as they pulled away from the kiss. Seconds later, another song played for the two. As the song started to play Izuku immediately recognized it, Uraraka adored this song; I Like Me Better by Lauv. Katsuki didn't particularly like this song but when he had Deku around to dance with, he couldn't care less about what played. They danced in the dark, laughing and enjoying their "prom" night. A small collection of songs had played for the two, Katsuki spun Izuku for one song and Izuku broke down into some awkward dance moves for another, and for another they laughed and made up their own dance moves however awkward they were. When the last song played, Katsuki held Izuku close to his chest, swaying with the music. It was eleven fifteen when they reluctantly went back to the car.

Katsuki drove Izuku home in comfortable silence. Izuku couldn't stop smiling the whole way there, replaying the night in his head. It made his chest explode with happiness. He might have missed prom, something that should have been one of the unforgettable moments of his life, but he ended up getting a greater experience with the one he loved. He wouldn't trade tonight for anything. Not even for prom.

Katsuki pulled up onto Deku's driveway. He parked, looking over to Izuku who stared back. The greenette smiled, the lighting his house gave off reflecting onto his face. The blonde cracked a soft smirk, love for the boy sitting next to him filled his chest. Izuku leaned in, kissing Katsuki's cheek softly before speaking.

"Thank you for tonight, Kacchan." He said with a smile.

"Yeah...Whatever, dork. Just take Nori and get inside." Katsuki murmured, stealing one more quick kiss.

Izuku chuckled before saying his goodbyes. He got off the car, grabbing Nori who waited silently on the back seat. He walked to his front door with Nori in his arms, opening it. He was greeted with the familiar scent of chocolate and cinnamon. He closed the door behind him, letting Nori down. A motherly face peeked out from the kitchen, smiling at Izuku lovingly.

"Welcome back, Izuku! How was prom?" Inko asked. Izuku smiled contently at the question before considering how he should answer it.

"It was...Perfect."
