Seeing as not many people were left after the first two tasks, no 2.5 exam was needed. The people passing were:
Temari and Kankuro from Suna
Naruto, Gaara and Fuu from Kiri
Sasuke, Menma and Mito together with Shikamaru and Hinata from Konoha.
Everyone else was not qualified. Sakura and Ino as well as Choji forfit. Same with the other participants of Hinatas team. The final pairings for the start were:
Shikamaru vs Temari,
Kankuro vs Hinata,
Sasuke vs Naruto,
Mito vs Fuu,
Menma vs Gaara.
Gaara and Fuu were happy with the partners they got, because they could beat some sense into them for Naruto. Shikamaru and Hinata planned to beat some sense into Gaaras former siblings. So the only one not needing to fear anything was Sasuke. Poor them.
When the Mizukage got the news, she smirked and screamed: "Get me the ANBU-team J. here." Some scrambling was heard before four masked people stood in front of her. The female wore a blue cat mask, the oldest male a red monkey mask, the second oldest a white horse mask and the youngest a white, grey slug mask. "We are going to Konoha. They did it." Mai stated without leaving room for discussion. Not that any of them would have said no. "Hai, Mizukage-sama."
In the office of the Hokage stood a stunned Minato with his wife and children. He just received an ANBU report about the training of the three Kiri-Shinobi and if his children or Sasuke want to have a chance of beating them in the exams, they would need to step up to Kage level. Like honestly. Which village has their Genin on Kage level. Were they messing with him?
