"Okay Mya, whenever you're ready!"

The maknae sent a happy thumbs up to Riley and Robin from inside the recording booth.

After their lovely break yesterday, the girls were now back to work recording their debut song.

They hadn't recorded any of the b-sides of the album just yet either. Renee scheduled a very intense schedule of recording one song everyday for the next week since they had six songs on the debut album.

"Mya, let's start with bridge for you since that's the hardest part?" Robin offered.
"Sounds good to me!"

Riley pressed a button as the music started to play and Mya began to sing.

She was supposed to sing the whole bridge and at the end of it, she was supposed to hold a belt that led into the last chorus.

Robin thought it was ridiculous to suggest at first thinking it would be too difficult, but Riley had shrugged and said it would be a piece of cake for their talented youngest.

And Riley was right; Mya did it perfectly in the first take.

"...wow," is all that came out of Robin's mouth after it.
"Can I do it one more time?"
"Can you do it again?!"
"Of course!"

And the girl did it again. Flawlessly.

"Wow Mya," Riley said, impressed.
"Any high note is easier than Lily's in O.O," Mya laughed in response.

No wonder the girl was so calm about recording now.

"Let's do your chorus now!"

Mya nodded excitedly. The girl was having the time of her life recording their debut song. After she was finished, the girl hung the headphones up, gave a happy wave goodbye to the  group's producers and skipped out of the studio.

"You girls wanted to see me?"

Alaska cheekily peeked her head into the studio.

"Hi Laska!" Renee beamed. "You ready to record?"
"Born to be!" Alaska responded and then giggled at her Itzy reference.
"Let's get you in the studio then," Riley smiled.

Alaska walked into the booth confidently and placed the headphones on.

"Am I starting with my rap today or the prechorus before the second chorus?" Alaska asked.
"What do you want to start with?" Robin retorted.

Alaska thought about it for a moment and then decided to go with her rap first.

"I'll cue that up for you then!"

As Alaska began recording her rap, Renee felt her phone buzz.

...

Just this once, she would check. She knew she shouldn't while she was at work, but it's not like Riley and Robin actually needed her help; those two were geniuses in music recording already anyways.

Renee's head shot up at Riley yelling, shocked.

Had she really missed Alaska's whole recording?! The dancer was NOT going to be happy with her.

When the Hwang walked out of the booth and waved goodbye, she walked over to give Renee a hug goodbye.

However, when Alaska leaned in for the hug, she whispered into Renee's ear, "I see you smiling down at your phone like an idiot. Riley and Robin were too busy focusing on the recording to notice so I'll keep quiet in exchange for you buying me coffee for a week."

Renee tsked as Alaska pulled away.

The FOTG winked at the manager as she left as if to tease her and then Mari walked in.

"I'm ready to record!"

Riley was very happy at Mari's enthusiastic attitude and immediately sent her into the booth to get started.

Renee this time tried her absolute hardest to ignore her buzzing phone so she could pay attention to Mari, but when the phone buzzed for the umpteenth time, Renee finally decided to check the screen.

Renee nearly threw her phone across the room.

Renee was a calm person. Renee was a sane person. Renee is perfectly normal when it comes to cute idols who look like a puppy calling her cute.

But not when that cute idol was THE Kim Seungmin of Stray Kids calling her cute.

"Renee, are you good?" Robin gawked.

It was only in that moment that Renee had realized that she slumped against the couch due to her inner Seungmin panic.

"...yes?" Renee answered, but the confusion in her tone gave her away.
"Okay, if you say so," Riley responded and returned back to her work guiding Mari through the next part she had to record.

Well shit, Renee had done it again.

But at least for when Lanhua would come in, it seemed as if her conversation with Seungmin was over.

"Renee!" Mari hopped over to the manager, eyes bright and glowy. "Did I do well?"

...double shit.

"Yes Mari, you did wonderfully," Renee smiled softly.

Even if she hadn't heard it, Renee knew that their OST singer would've done a beautiful job.

But then Mari's normally angelic face twisted into something more demonic.

"I knew you weren't paying attention! If you were, you would've known that my voice cracked three times! You Kim Seungmin simp."

Renee definitely didn't like that name, but she was in no place to argue with the singer.

"Regardless of whether your voice did crack or not, I'm sure the final product will be ethereal, Mari," Renee said smiling softly.

Mari seemed to be satisfied enough with the answer and waved goodbye to Renee.

Lanhua walked into the room wearing a white scarf, which was strange considering that it wasn't that cold outside.

"Lanhua, if you're hiding a hickey, I swear," Renee sighed.

The visual sent her a sheepish look.

"Oops?"

Maybe she really would just spend the rest of the recording session texting Seungmin.
