𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬

"Mix it together, salty and fresh, hi, we are Bittersweet!"

The screams of the filled out Seoul Stadium echoed through Renee's ears.

It had been only one year since Bittersweet's debut, but the girls' success had already allowed them to sell out the largest concert venue in South Korea.

Renee watched them happily from the sidelines.

Glancing up in the sound booth, she could see Junseo directing the sound and lights. Renee sent him a small smile and he returned it with a dorky thumbs up.

Junseo had been working with the girls all this time and because of his skills, Bittersweet was now high in demand due to their stellar variety content.

This concert was Bittersweet's one year anniversary, so of course Junseo was back to direct.

Now, Renee glanced towards the crowd.

Throughout Bittersweet's first year, they were able to accomplish many things that most debut groups were unable to.

Firstly, they achieved a Rookie Grand Slam and they were the eighth group in history to do so following ZEROBASEONE.

Secondly, they had been a part of the JYP Nation concert. This was exciting for all the girls, but especially for Mya and Alaska who were big fans of many groups under JYPE. They had performed each other's songs and Bittersweet had ended up performing Twice's Set Me Free.

And when Stray Kids came onstage, they performed Bittersweet's debut song, Bright Shadows. It was truly amazing to watch their song be performed by such veteran idols/boyfriends.

Third and finally, the girls had sold over one million copies of their debut album.

Truly incredible considering how far they had fallen before that.

And now, there were a bunch of their friends at their one year anniversary concert!

Itzy was in the crowd, all five of them waving excitedly. Alaska was waving to Yeji excitedly, the rookie happy to see her idol.

Next to them, NMIXX was also there. Apparently, Mya finally had a chance to talk to Sullyoon and it the two formed a beautiful friendship.

And then, of course, there was Stray Kids and Jungkook.

Channie and Riley had finally gotten together around six months into the girls' debut year.

It had taken forever, but Riley and Chan just kept dancing around the question before Chan had finally had enough and just kissed her on one of their dates.

Riley reciprocated quickly and the two have been disgustingly in love ever since.

Jungkook and Robin, despite the difficulties of finding time to be with each other, persevered to make it work.

The two of them would often call at least five times a week to keep up with their communication, but as difficult as it was, the two of them still made it work. And now the two of them were still as equally in love as before.

Changbin and Lanhua, the power couple of the two groups was still going strong. Recently, they had celebrated their three year anniversary and Changbin had gifted Lanhua a beautiful promise ring.

It was a gorgeous stone placed perfectly in the middle of a silver band that Lanhua wore everywhere except to any idol activities. There were even times where she would forget about taking off the ring and would sleep with it on.

Felix and Alaska were by far the worst couple for keeping their hands off of each other. Whenever the two groups got together (which was quite often), Alaska would instantly plant herself into Felix's lap and stay there for the rest of the night.

But in all seriousness, Felix and Alaska also seemed like they would stay in that 'puppy love' phase forever. It was always equally as cute and nauseating to watch. Hyunjin especially did not like watching the two of them. Unluckily for Hyunjin, the couple had learned to block him out. And from the sounds of it, Felix was planning a trip to Australia for Alaska to meet his family and take the next big step.

Speaking of the Hwangs, Mari and Hyunjin were also still going strong. Hyunjin was simply whipped for the girl and would do anything she asked him to. Hyunjin was able to paint countless different pictures thanks to her being his muse and he just kept using that soft brown colour of Mari's eyes. (Stays were very suspicious at this point.)

But Mari was overly smitten, as well. Even to the point where she would begin taking drawing classes just so she could show off her own drawings to Hyunjin who had inspired her.

Of course, there was the maknaes. Mya and Jeongin were still given the title of cutest couple by all of their members. Jeongin would do anything that his girlfriend wanted him to and Mya would do anything her boyfriend wanted her to. The two of them had a sort of crazy stupid love that helped them remain in that same type of love that you would see in fairytales.

Renee looked over to where their boyfriends were sitting and locked eyes with Kim Seungmin.

For her and Seungmin, Renee could honestly say that she has never been happier in her life than when she finally got together with Seungmin.

He really was her perfect match, his chaotic energy matching her calm aura perfectly.

Seungmin kept Renee grounded and regularly took care of her. Especially during comeback period when she became the most stressed out.

He'd stop by the dorms often and would just stay in her room with her to keep her company while she worked.

And Renee, along with the rest of the girls, were always secretly in the crowd whenever Stray Kids had a comeback showcase to support her boyfriend.

After the show, Renee would always greet him with a kiss to congratulate him. Seungmin seemed to have picked up that habit and would wait for her to run to him.

Once, he pretended to be a statue that couldn't move until he was 'awoken' by Renee's kiss. Renee had only giggled and placed kisses around his face instead.

Seungmin was just her person. And she hoped it would stay that way.

Seungmin sent her his signature puppy-like grin and waved excitedly.

From the curtains, Renee blew him a kiss and watched as that grin became wider.

After the show, Seungmin and Renee were sitting on Bittersweet's couch in the dorm as the rest of the girls and guys were celebrating the one year anniversary.

Seungmin's arm was wrapped around Renee and her head was gently resting on his shoulder.

"Renee?"
"Hm?"

Renee looked up at Seungmin and she immediately noticed the look in Seungmin's eyes.

"Say you love me," Seungmin said quietly.
"Kim Seungmin, I love you," Renee whispered. "I love you so much."
"I love you too, Neenee. I'm yours forever."

As the two brought their lips together, Renee finally felt something settle within her.

"What are you thinking about?" Seungmin asked as he pulled away.

"Just how lucky I am to have the girls and you," Renee responded softly.

Seungmin just smiled again and leaned in to kiss her again.

Her girls had debuted, she was in love, and her dreams had finally come true.

Renee really had made it.
