"Don't forget our appointment tonight! ;) – Katami". "Why couldn't you just tell me, Katami-kun?" you exasperated from Katami's message. He's annoying and a loose-cannon but still a fun friend and he told you he befriends a "special" person and he had been telling you the "special event" that Katami's friend had planned. Judging by the message, he really wants you to come along.

You sighed and replied, "At what time?". "At seven! Can't wait to see you there!" he replied back. You huffed a smile and typed back the same but in a relaxed way. You closed your phone and finished your lunch then done your chores for the afternoon. The clock stroke 5 : 30 and you took shower. You remembered the name of the café and you wore a casual shirt with jeans and sneakers. You put on a light makeup and tied your hair then on the way to the café.

"(y/n)! You made it!" you noticed Katami calling and he was waving like it wouldn't drew any attention. You let out a chuckle and walked to him, "I'm here!" you greeted. "Did I come early?" you asked after looking at the time. "I think both of us are." Katami chuckled in embarrassment and you laughed it off. The two of you went inside and ordered your preferred drinks while waiting.

"Are you going to tell me why we are here?" you let out your curiosity in sarcasm. "You'll see." Katami smirked. "Oh, come on! You've been doing this for the entire week!" you gave up on asking and waited for the surprise. The café has a small stage for anyone who had booked it to perform and there are some small bands performing.

Most of them were performing covers and some songs you don't recognize. "Oh! There they are!" Katami almost made you choke on your coffee when he pointed at four men walking on the stage. "So..." you coughed to bring down the choke. "They're your "special" friends you told me?" and asked. Katami said he only friends with one of them but he's acquainted with the rest. "Which one?". "Ohtaki-kun." He pointed at the man with the acoustic guitar. "Shigeru-kun is the one with the electric guitar, and Hosono-san is the bassist while Takashi with the tambourine." Katami pointed at the rest of the members.

Three of them sat down while warming up their instruments and the bassist said the title of them song they're performing, 'Natsu Nandesu' without drums. One of them tapped their feet to start the count then the guitars strummed and the bassist sang. The tambourine followed after.

You felt the song isn't a cover but an original composition. "Who are they?" you asked. "They're Happy End. Don't tell me you haven't heard of them before.". "You got me." You laughed in embarrassment. The song ended and everyone clapped. Both of you finished your drinks and Katami pulled you to the back to meet the band. "H-hey!". "Ohtaki-kun!" Katami called to his friend while pulling you along.

"Kako-kun! What a surprise to see you!" the guitarist happily greeted Katami. "Is that your girlfriend?". "No, we're just friends." Katami cleared the misunderstanding. The band introduced themselves and you shared your name too. "Did you come here together, (y/n)-chan?" asked Hosono. "Katami-kun dragged me to be exact." You answered. "But I enjoyed the performance." And added with a smile.

"What do you think of the song?" asked Suzuki. "Great as always.". "Does it always with no drums?" you instead asked. "I think it's only this one time. They didn't tell us about it." said Matsumoto. "Ah, I see. It was adorable of you with the tambourine." You blurted out the compliment. "Ooo-ooh~!" the boys teased and you shrugged them off, telling them you were only giving your opinion.

Happy End finally finished wrapping their instruments and the six of you exited the café. Hosono treated his bandmates for pool then Ohtaki called Matsumoto. "You're in?". "Sure! You guys go on ahead. I'll catch up in a minute." Said Matsumoto and Ohtaki said okay. "See you later, (y/n).". "See you too, Katami-kun." Both of you exchanged waves and Katami went home.

"(y/n)-chan was it?". "Yes?" you looked at Matsumoto. "Would you uh... would you have coffee again here with me?" he asked. You slightly blushed and accepted. "That's great!" he smiled with a slight blush. "Let me know when you have the time, okay?" you slipped a paper to his hand and left. He looked at the paper and it was your number written on it.

A.N : Okay! Here's the last summer edition chapter and I decided to bring back the "Natsu Nandesu" song since I found an early live version of it.
