questions

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

i probably realized when I truly wanted to be a writer was just when i noticed just how it impacted me, and the people around me. mostly giving my family something to brag about to other people.

How long does it take you to write a book?

it mostly depends on which book i write, for example, the historical fiction book I'm still in the first book draft and started working on that book six years ago, but with my poetry or short story maybe a month tops.

What is your work schedule like when you're writing?

i mostly write as the day goes on, somedays i don't feel like it, and some days i do, it's very more of if i have the energy to even think.

When did you write your first book and how old were you?

i was around 13-14 in high school as a freshman at that in 2017.

What do you like to do when you're not writing?

mostly reading anything or watching shows or movies to help me get ideas for the books I'm writing.

What does your family think of your writing?

i would think many are supportive of what I'm doing, and same as some are not. it's not a bad thing at all, my family sees things differently just as everyone else. i know when i talk about my books, they listen knowing writing is a passion of mine.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your Books?

i never stop thinking of ideas.

What do you think makes a good story?

if the author is able to write it and not be fully frustrated (leaving it and then coming back with no idea.)

As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

as a child, weirdly enough i wanted to be a vet, always wanting to help animals.

Does writing energize or exhaust you?

writing does both.

What are common traps for aspiring writers?

not setting a map in writing of their planning for the book they are working on.

What is your writing Kryptonite?

Perfectionism. Doing an outline for each book.

Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?

i think each book could stand on its own if it wanted to but with the series there in their own world. but any book i write in a fantasy setting is mostly in the same world just different places.
