Where it Starts

- 11 years -

I and Aang were now 11 years old, Aang was closer to mastering airbending and getting his arrows.

Me? Well, it's complicated...

Because of my unique 'airbending' I couldn't preform their way of airbending, leading me to not getting any arrows.

Which, I'm grateful for. I don't really want someone to stab a needle with paint on my forehead, nor do I want the extra pressure of training. ( I don't think that's how it works..)

My dad is still a bit off, now more than ever, but I'm glad we are still close.

I couldn't blame him though I had also been a little off as well, the thought of the 100 year war entering my mind. Reminding me that this is real, that the fire nation will wipe out the air nomads.

Walking to our spot, I sat down and waited until Aang was done with his training. I would have gone with him to his training but the elders refused to have me anywhere near Aang while he trained, saying I was too much of a 'distraction'.

'Damn I didn't know my shoulders were so distracting, even in this world-'

Hearing footsteps I looked up and waved to Aang, who had been jogging to me, "Hey, took you long enough." I said smirking at him.

Scratching the back of his neck he replied, "Sorry, you know how they are. Strict and love to point out my every flaw."

Getting up I was about to respond but was cut off by a voice.

"Now that's no way to talk about your teachers Aang." A older man said, walking up to us.

"Gyatso!", Both I and Aang shouted running up to our favorite mentor.

Aang had introduced me to Gyatso gushing about how he was the best airbender to ever live.

Gyatso also helped me with my airbending. Which, actually helped me better control my 'airbending', we had tested out different fighting styles to see what best fit and supported me with my way of 'airbending'.

"Gyatso what are you doing here?", Aang asked smiling at the older man.

Gyatso's face turned to into a stern expression, "I've come looking for (Y/n), the council of elders would like to see you.", he said looking me in the eyes.

"They wanna see me?" I asked shocked, pointing to myself like a idiot.

He nodded, I turned to Aang who had worried look on his face.

"Ok I guess I better go now then, don't want to keep them waiting." I stated before quickly turning around and running off.

———

"You wanted to see me?", I questioned standing in front of the elders.

They looked down upon me, their faces unreadable and the air tense.

One of them finally spoke, "Yes, we have reason to believe that you are the Oracle."

". . ."

". . ."

"The who and the what now."

They elder's eye twitched but his face remained unreadable, he gave a slight nod to one of the other people in the room.

Yea They handed the elder a stroll before bowing and going back to their spot on the other side of the room.

"In the ancient scrolls it speaks of a being called 'The Oracle'. They are given the ability to see the future and are tasked to help the Avatar, as well as keep them balanced. According to the scroll the 'Oracle' is said to have a different way of bending as well as a mark, and are born here from a different world." He stated while opening the scroll.

I turn pale, frozen in place. 'Did they know?! Oracle?! There wasn't one in the original!'

"We were made aware of you unique way of bending by your father last week, as well as the new mark you have gained on your shoulder. We can now confidently say that you, (Y/n) (L/n), are the next Oracle." Another elder spoke.

'Last week?... I just turned 11 last week..' I thought while staring at my feet, 'now that I think about it... I can't remember anything about my birthday. Its like my memory was erased- wait what mark?'

"Your father expressed great worry about your incident and came to us for assistance," One of the elders explained after seeing the confusion on my face.

"With this new information we will need to begin your training. If you are to assist the Avatar you must know how to fight. The Avatar should be your first priority."

'WHY WE GOING SO FUCKING FAST!?'

"HOLD ON!- What are you talking about!? What incident, what mark?!" I exclaimed

"We are talking about the mark on your shoulder, which is covered at the moment." A elder pointed to my right shoulder, which was in fact covered with bandages.

Looking down at my shoulder I quickly grabbed the bandages and started taking them off, 'I never remembered putting on bandages here..'

Once the bandages were off my eyes widened, on my right shoulder laid the fairy tail guild mark. I gently touched the (f/c) mark and then my head felt like it exploded. (picture at the end of chapter if you wanna see what the mark looks like.)

-*FLASHBACK*-

The sun was setting and Aang had just left after we finished cleaning up after my birthday party. My dad had told me he had a gift for me and told me to sit at the table, so here I am waiting.

My dad soon enters the kitchen with a small box with a ribbon on it, he sat down and placed it in front of me. Gesturing to open the box he watched me intensely, I grabbed the box, untied the ribbon, and opened it.

Inside the box was a necklace, it had a (f/c) gem in the center (I'll leave the rest to your imagination(っ^▿^)). "It was your mother's and I think it'll look better on you than on me." My dad chuckled.

I gently took the necklace out of the box and put it on, my dad helping me.

Holding it in my hand I smiled at my dad. "Thanks dad, and your right it would look better on me, but I guess you come close in second." I said hugging my dad.

As we pulled away a hot stinging pain shot through my right shoulder.

Groaning, I placed my hand on my shoulder but winced when the pain increased.

"(Y/n) what's wrong?" My dad asked looking at me with concerned eyes.

"My shoulder just hurts a bit.." I replied, the pain in my shoulder turned into a burning sensation.

My dad gently removes my hand from my shoulder and gasps.

Turning to look at why he gasp I'm suddenly hit with a wave of dizziness and stumble into his chest.

I could hear him talking but I couldn't understand a word he was saying, my head felt heavy and my vision blurred.

My eyes closed in attempt to clear my vision but when I opened them again everything went blank.

I couldn't control my body, I could see my dad's face full of shock. Why was he shocked? Why is he looking at me like that? Why can't I move?!

My mouth opened and words spelled out, it was like I was in a trance. "if it is the avatar for who you seek look no farther for it is aang that of which is who you speak."

My dad's eyes widened and was left speechless as he looked into my glowing (f/c) eyes.

Gaining control over my body once again my legs gave out from under me.

My dad quickly caught me and held me in his arms and he looked over me frantically.

Black spots appeared in my vision, knowing I'd pass out I quickly glanced at my shoulder seeing a (f/c) mark before blacking out.

-*END OF FLASHBACK*-

I find myself back in the room full of elders once again.

'What the heck was that? And did I get possessed or something, why couldn't I move?!'

"Now, we must speak about your training." A elder stated.

But since you're the bad bitch you are, you ran out the room ignoring him and the others yells to come back.

Running to your secret spot you sat down and sulked, 'dude I don't wanna do some hardcore training that will leave me fucking immobilized afterwards! Like you know the amount of stress that'll give me?! I already had to give up meat for this godforsaken world!'

'But back to the topic at hand. Why did my dad just NOW tell the elders? He's known since I was like–what two? Did he know that this would happen..?'

While you were rethinking your life choices and reason to live you failed to noticed a pair of footsteps getting closer.

'Should I write a will or something because I don't think I can–ACkKJWHEV'

You were tackled to the floor.

"BAHAHAHA!"

"DUDE ITS NOT FUNNY!"

Pushing Aang off you sat up and crossed you arms over your chest.

"Hehe sorry but you weren't paying attention, I even called your name three times!" Aang said sitting himself next to you.

Turning away from him you frowned and sighed, you'll have to think about this whole Oracle thing later. For now-

Giving Aang a smirk you gently smacked him on the face, "Tag your it!" You yelled bolting out of there.

"HEY!" Aang quickly got up and ran after you laughing.

So this is what your mark looks like and where it is. Sorry if this chapter wasn't as great as the last one- it was kinda rushed since I haven't updated in a while! Anyways.
