After everyone calmed down, 'everyone' being mostly Aang, we soon stood in front of Appa ready to leave the temple.

"You, Me, (Y/n), and Appa–we're all that's left of this place. We have to stick together." Aang spoke to the lemur on his shoulder as he glanced at each of us. "Katara, Sokka, say hello to the newest members of our family."

I had already introduced myself to the siblings after Aang had let go of me, it was...an awkward experience.

"What are you going to name him?" Katara asked Aang as she glanced at the lemur perched on his shoulder.

The lemur quickly jumped through the air and snatched Sokka's fruit right before he could take another bite.

"Momo." He smiled, as we all laughed at Sokka's reaction.

I heard a soft groan from behind me and turned to see Sora walking up to me. This caused the others to scream and squeal in surprise–cough cough Sokka cough cough.

"What is that!?"

"Sora!" I grinned before being pounce on.

"OH MY SPIRITS IT'S EATING HER ALIVE!!"

---

We were now flying away from the Southern Air Temple, and I didn't know how to feel. I had spent my whole life–well this life anyways–there. I've only rarely left the Temple, those times being to go and see some of Aang's friends with him–which included Bumi.

I quickly pushed those thoughts away, I didn't want to end up crying again–not in front of everyone. I glance over at Aang who had become very quiet, I could see the longing in his eyes.

Deciding to confort him instead of feeling sorry for myself I walked over to him and sat to his right. His eyes were still a bit red and puffy from his crying session earlier and his face was slightly flushed.

"Aang?.." He glanced over at me before looking back at the Temple as it gets further away, being covered by the fog and clouds.

"Yeah?"

"...Why did you leave without saying goodbye?" It bothered me, Aang had left me a scroll instead of a in person farewell. I didn't even get the chance to read the dang thing!

"I—I just—I couldn't, knowing that I would have to say goodbye and the disappointment—I know it's no excuse but.." Aang began to tremble as he kept his eyes ahead, as he avoided looking at me.

I frowned, but I can't help to think that I would do the same. I couldn't bear to face someone I cared for knowing that would mean I'd have to say goodbye.

So deciding to end his attempt to explain why he did what he did I wrapped my arms around him.

He stiffened before he relaxed and hugged me back, stuffing his face into my shoulder and letting out a shaky breathe.

"Aang, I will always be by your side. Spiritually or physically, it doesn't matter. So if we do need to go separate ways don't think of it as a goodbye, think of it as a see you later." I smirked slightly.

"Besides you think you could escape from me that easily? I would find you faster than you can say 'AYe pOr DIOs', so don't even bother–"

"Thank you..."

I paused, before smiling gently—happy to know that I had at least made him feel a bit better.

I hummed, "How about we get some sleep? We do have a BIG adventure ahead of us."

---

"You have no idea where you're going, do you?" Sokka asked looking up from a map at Aang.

"Well, I know it's near water." Aang replied.

"I guess we're getting close then." Sokka said sarcastically as he pointed his gaze out to the open sea beneath us.

But Aang didn't reply as he was busy admiring Katara as she was fixing Sokka's pants.

I on the other hand was petting Sora cause he wanted attention, although I wasn't just doing that I was also thinking about the storyline.

'Right so I actually didn't die from the attack and now we're moving on to the main story. If I'm not wrong I think this is the start of episode 4 where we meet the one and only badass Suki.'

Still staring at Katara, Aang tilted his head to the side where Momo was on his shoulder, "Momo, marbles, please." Momo leaped into his shirt and placed a few marbles in his hand.

"Hey Katara, check out this airbending trick." Aang smiled widely as he stared at Katara expectantly.

Not looking away from her sewing Katara answered bluntly, "That's great Aang."

"You didn't even look." He frowned, stopping.

Katara glanced over at Aang, "That's great."

"But I'm not doing it now."

"Stop bugging her, airhead. You need to give girls space when they their sewing." Sokka said cutting Aang off.

I had just came back from my thoughts and glanced over at Sokka, "What does her being a girl have to do with sewing?" Although I already knew his answer.

He looked at me and smirked, "Simple. Girls are better at fixing pants than guys, and guys are better at hunting and fighting and stuff like that. It's just the natural order of things. So every TRUE man would have to be strong enough to protect their girl since they wouldn't be able to survive by themselves."

He began to try and flex his muscles–which he did not have–at me, which surprised me at first but then I remembered what he had just said.

Taking a quick glance at Katara we nodded at each other.

"All done with your pants." Katara cheerfully stated.

"And look at what a great job she did~" I smirked.

Katara smiled sweetly, throwing his pants at him as I quickly sent a small sky dragon roar at it to make it smack him hard in the face.

"OOF–Wait! I was just kidding! I can't wear these! Katara, please!" Sokka pleaded sticking his hand through the hole in his pants.

"Relax, Sokka. Where we're going you won't need any pants." Aang then brought us down to the ground, right next a lake.

When we all got off Aang immediately began looking around excitedly.

"We just made a pit stop yesterday. Shouldn't we get a little more flying done before we camp out?" Sokka frowned.

Katara agreed, "He's right. At this rate, we won't get to the North Pole until spring."

"But Appa's tired already, aren't you boy?", Appa only grunts in response, "I said, 'Aren't you boy?'" Aang nudges Appa as he then lets out a long yawn.

I snickered, "That was perfect demonstration of being tired, someone give this beast an Oscars award."

The siblings sent me a questionable gaze before looking at Aang for any sort of hint or explanation about the absolute nonsense that came out of my mouth—only to see him begin to strip as well as seeing a giant fish leap out of the water.

'Oh I am definitely going to ride that big serpent later'

"–That's why we're here—elephant koi, and I'm going to ride it. (Y/n), you've got to join me!" Aang said excitedly, glancing over at me.

I raised an eyebrow, "No thanks, I'll watch from here. Don't feel like swimming right now, maybe later."

'Not to mention that in a few seconds you'll be chased out of the water.'

As Aang drove into the 'cold' water, the two siblings shared a glance before Sokka spun a finger near his head–indicating that Aang was crazy.

I chuckled a bit, then watched as Aang held on to the fish for dear life, hearing a munching noise I glanced over my shoulder at Appa and Sora.

"No, Appa! Don't eat that!"

"Wh-Sora, NO, not the food!"

Katara and I rushed over to them both as Appa had begun trying to eat our baskets while Sora was sniffing out our left-overs.

By the time we rushed back over Aang was being chased by the serpent, both Katara and Sokka tried to warn him—but he merely thought they were cheering him on.

Well, up until he was launched face first into the water.

Have you ever seen anyone run on water? Yeah me neither. So when Aang began to full on sprint on top of the water while looking like one of those funny cartoon characters—I almost folded like a fucking lawn chair from laughter.

But with all my strength and willpower I managed not to make a sound(beside that of a straggled animal at the beginning). Although I was trembling from the strain.

But as I tried to gather my bearings, I am hit by Aang himself and we both go rolling until my back smacks into a tree.

"OOF—I think I just saw god." I groaned as I could feel the bark digging into my skin.

Aang chuckled nervously, "Heh, sorry (Y/n). Are you ok?", he got up and began to dress himself—not even phased-

"Yeah, all good. Just a bit winded—Oh. I'm bleeding" I mumbled as I had felt something dripping down my back, only to realize it was blood as I went to wipe it off.

As the group began to worry and fuss over me, mostly Katara, Aang and Sora, I was just staring at the trees around us–waiting.

'Oh shit, didn't they come from ab-'

I yelped as someone lands behind me and ties me up—as well as blindfold me. Hitting the ground I bite back a shout of pain as the ropes dig into my already injured back.

I soon hear the others hit the ground next to me.

With the expectation of Sora. Which I feel hovering over my crippled form growling at the girls.

---

Sora. I've can't believe you've done this.

That traitor. All it took was a couple of TREATS—

"You 4 have some explaining to do."

Another voice follows, "And if you don't answer all our questions, we're throwing you back in the water with the Unagi."

Of course Sokka—being the most intelligent man to have walked this god forsaken planet—decide to mock the people that pose a threat to our lives.

"Show yourselves, cowards!"

Ah, I can see the light—oh nvm that's their white face paint.

"Who are you? Where are the men who ambushed us?" Sokka asked, you know—like a sexist.

Raising her fist Suki replied, "there were no men. We ambushed you. Now tell us, who are you and what are you doing here?"

Flabbergasted, Sokka began to accuse them of lying, "Wait a second. There's no way a bunch of girls took us down."

Suki grabbed his collar and pulled him closer to her face, "A bunch of girls, huh? The Unagi's going to eat well tonight." She sneered.

I whistled, "God damn."

"No don't hurt him! He didn't mean it! My brother's just an idiot sometimes." Katara said.

Aang sighed sadly, "It's my fault. I'm sorry we came here. I wanted to ride the Elephant Koi."

"How do we know you're not Fire Nation spies?" Questioned the old man, "Kyoshi and Demeter stayed out of the war so far and we intend to keep it that way."

"Well if this island was named after Kyoshi, it's pretty rude to have tied up and threatened to feed her next life to the Unagi." I hummed before confusion took over my face, "Wait, who's Demeter?"

The old man stared at me with wide eyes, "She was the Oracle, and Kyoshi's best friend—", I choked on air, "But the Oracle failed to protect the Avatar 100 years ago, and now we are without the Avatar—"

"But I'm right here!"

Everyone turned to look at Aang as he smiled brightly at them, he quickly Airbended his way out of the ropes and landed in front of the group where he did his special marble trick.

"It's true, you are the Avatar." the old man said before glancing over at us, "So then..is one of you the Oracle?"

I tensed up, I could feel the stares on me—since I was wearing clothes similar to Aang's—I chuckled nervously. But before I could even say anything—

"Yeah, (Y/n) is the Oracle." Katara said happily like she didn't just expose my ass.

...Oh shit.

---

I quickly grabbed some breakfast before sneaking away from the house.

I had just been exposed in front of the whole village—in front of Aang.

The Village's reaction was mixed on my part, some were happy while others gave me a dirty look—I guess they blame me for the disappearance of the Avatar. But it was very few people, so I'm grateful for that.

But anyways, back to the topic at hand.

Aang now knows I'm the Oracle.

I've been avoiding him since then, and I know I shouldn't but I can't help it—I'm used to running away from my problems.

I don't know how he'll react, will he hate me for not telling him? Does he even want to see me? What will he think of me? Would he even still want to be my friend? What if he also blames me for his disappearance—if I would have stopped him back then—What if—

"(Y/n)?"

I snapped my head around so fast I swear I heard something crack—I half expected my head to light up like a glowstick.

I sighed out of relief once I saw who it was, "Oh Sokka, what's up?" I said turning around to face him as he walked up to me.

"what's up with you?"

"Hm? What do you mean-"

"Is it about being the Oracle?"

"..."

"I knew it."

Looking away from him I mumbled, "Am I that obvious?"

"Yep."

"I always thought that I would be the one to tell Aang I was the Oracle—but each time I was going to tell him, I would think of reasons not to and chicken out. And now that he's found out by someone other than me I feel so guilty for keeping the secret for so long. I guess I'm just scared that I'll lose..."

My partner in crime, the sun to my day, the person I want to grow old with, the person I want to stand beside with, the person...

"...My best friend."

That I would die for.

"Knowing Aang, he'll be a bit mad I'm sure.", I groaned in displeasure, "But it's you, and you've been friends since how long? I mean, he wouldn't stop talking about you the whole way to the temple." Sokka said.

I looked at him as he began to walk away, "Just talk to him, he'll listen." Sokka states over his shoulder.

I smiled, "Hey Sokka!", He turned his head to look back at me, "Thanks, and you know what? You're not to bad of a guy—even if you're sexist and all." and with that I turned and walked away chuckling as he screeched from behind me.

---

I was walking out of the village with Sora to go look for Aang when his group of fangirls came walking in—without Aang. I quickly waved at them, "Hey do you guys know where Aang is? I'm looking for him."

One of the girls sneered at me, "Why? Just because you're the Oracle doesn't mean you have to be together ALL the time."

Dumbfounded, I stared mouth gaping open as the girls walked away. Well that was interesting.

Looking up at the sky I see it's getting late which means—

Aang is trying to ride the Unagi!

Jumping on Sora's back he ran down to the beach as I hear the distant screams of Aang himself. Getting to the beach I expected to see Katara—but she was no where in sight.

Looking into the water I saw Aang mindlessly floating face up as the Unagi got closer. I jumped off of Sora and plunged into the cold water. I grabbed Aang and held him tightly as the Unagi came closer.

Taking in a deep breath I screamed as the magic circle appeared in front of my mouth, "SKY DRAGON ROAR!!"

The attack hit the Unagi as well as launch both I and Aang out of the water and onto land. Quickly placing him down I panicked as he was cold and not breathing.

"Shit shit shit—how to give cpr!? Ok ok, hands on chest—UH beats to WAP—From the top, make it drop that's some wet—" After a while nothing really happened, I panicked even more.

Quickly pinching his nose I took a deep breath before I began to blow air into his lungs—even using a bit of my roar to give him more air. After a few seconds I tasted salty water and immediately parted from him as he began to cough up the water.

"Oh my god, oh my god—Aang?! Are you good?!" I quickly turned him to his side and patted his bareback.

"(Y/n)?..I thought that you weren't coming? I thought you said that you'd rather not waste your time with someone who you don't care about!" He yelled at me as he leaned on his elbows.

Staring at him confused I responded, "I never said that! I wasn't even told where you were! I've been looking for you for the pass hour!—"

"Aang!"

Turning around I see Katara running up to the both of us before she dropped to her knees beside Aang.

"Katara—" I stuttered out before she cut me off.

"Aang are you ok?! Are you hurt?!"

Trying again I began to speak, "I—"

"(Y/n) how could you let this happen?! You're suppose to protect him!"

The purpose of the Oracle is to protect and support the Avatar, nothing else.

"What kind of Oracle are you!?"

The Oracle should be ready to give their life for the Avatar.

I stared at her in shock. What had happened to the Katara from earlier? Had she been faking it? Does she hate me now? Looking over at Aang I waited for him to say anything, but at the mention of the Oracle his face turned bitter.

Sora, sensing my distress, began to growl at Katara as his transparent fur turned red and spikey as he stood between me and them.

After a few moments of silence, Katara's face morphed into horror as if realizing what she had just done.

"(Y/n)—"

"I want the Avatar alive."

Quickly grabbing onto Sora, I lowered us to the ground—but to my surprise my whole body had turned invisible. Whipping my head towards Sora I see him wrap his tail around my arm and pull me away from the two and towards the village.

---

'How did they get pass me?!'

Looking around at the burning building I felt myself tremble.

It's happening all over again.

Shaking my head to get rid of those thoughts I ran into the village looking for my target—Zuko.

Finally spotting him, I jumped high into the air as I shouted down at him, "Think fast chuckle-nuts! Sky Dragon's Talon!" coating my foot with strong winds, I swing my leg down at him and hit him in the face—sending him flying.

Grunting, he stumbles as he gets up, he stared at me wide eyed, "Dragon? Airbender!? But—your Airbending it's—You're the Oracle?! But you're also just a kid!"

"And you're also just some angsty teenager with daddy issues! But you don't hear me complaining!" I snickered as his face morphed into anger.

Growling, he threw fire balls hastily trying to hit me. I dodge as I once again leap into the air raising one of my arms higher than my body. I cloaked my hand with a whirlwind and went to strike him as my hand shined brightly, "Sky Dragon's Crushing Fang!"

I barely scratched him before he grabbed my wrist and threw me into one of the buildings.

"OOF—", taking a quick glance at my wrist I see a red hand mark, "Dude! Did you just mark me?! At least take me on a date first." I said looking up at him from the ground as he towered over my crippled form.

His face turned so red it put his nation to shame. "W-What!? You—"

"(Y/n)!"

Zuko was sent flying into another building.

Looking up I see Aang land in front of me before I am hoisted up onto his gilder with him. I yelped as I was forced to hold onto him like a koala.

"Aang what the hell!? I had it under control—" I stopped when I saw he wasn't paying attention to me but to the chaos all around us. I looked around as well, but I wish I hadn't.

"AHHHHHHH!!"

"DAD!!"

"(Y/n) I want you to run. Far from here..."

A whimper escaped me before I could stop it. I immediately stuffed my face into Aang's shoulder as I felt the horrific memories resurface.

'Stop. Stop trembling. You're okay. You're not there anymore. You're safe. You're okay.'

I was so out of it, I hadn't even realized we had landed already and that I was still holding onto Aang. I couldn't hear Aang or Katara over my labored breathing.

---

Aang rushed towards the village in hopes of finding (Y/n) or Zuko. He felt horrible for yelling at her. It was all just a big misunderstanding! Apparently when Aang had told the group of girls that he was going to look for (Y/n), they had made up a horrible lie.

"Oh! You mean the Oracle? We actually saw her earlier and invited her to come watch but she said that she'd rather not be around someone she doesn't truly care about."

How could he have been so stupid to believe them?! Maybe it was because he was a bit mad at her for keeping such a big secret that he jumped to conclusions? And what Katara said to her on the beach...

It hurt her. He could tell.

Running in he saw Zuko grab (Y/n)'s wrist and throw her into a building. Towering over her as she made a flirty remark—making the banished prince flustered.

Aang frowned at the display and Airbended Zuko into a nearby building. Grabbing (Y/n), he hoisted her up and wrapped her hands around his neck as he threw his glider and hop on.

Ignoring her complains he looked around at the village as it burned, he frowned before realizing (Y/n) had gone silent.

Then he heard her whimper.

Before he could look at her, she had shoved her face into his shoulder as she began to shake. Aang was too stunned to speak.

As he landed Katara walked up to the two but he ignored her in favor of making sure (Y/n) didn't fall as she hadn't let go of him yet.

"...You're okay. You're not there anymore. You're safe..." She muttered to herself.

Oh.

She's...

"Katara we need to leave. If we leave, Zuko will follow us and leave Kyoshi alone." Aang said, as he tightened his grip on his best friend.

"Right! I'll get Sokka while you ready Appa. But what about (Y/n)..?" Katara asked worriedly glancing at the shaking girl in his arms.

Aang smiled, "Don't worry, I got this. I am her best friend after all!" he said.

And I'll never for a second doubt her again.

As Katara ran to go find her brother, Aang switched his attention back to (Y/n).

Walking over to Appa, Aang sat on the floor and began to calm her down best he could.

"...afe. You're safe now. I won't let them hurt you."

Safe..?

"I'm sorry I yelled at you, I was just angry at the thought that you didn't trust me with your secret that I never stopped to think why you didn't tell me. I'm such a horrible best friend."

I felt my body finally relax as my breathing slowly returned back to normal. Finally pulling away from what I had been hiding my face in I come face to face with Aang.

Gasping, I scrambled backwards, "ACk, I'm sorry! I-I just—", he quickly grabbed me and pulled me back into his chest, "AaNG!?" I cringed as my voice cracked.

"Oh thank this god of your that you're okay! I'm so so sorry for before!" Aang cried before Sora plucked me from his grasp and nuzzled into my chest.

"Um shouldn't we be running away from Zuko by now?—"

"Oh! Right c'mon Appa!"

---

As we fly away from the village Katara consoled Aang, "I know it's hard, but you did the right thing. Zuko would've destroyed the whole place if we stayed. They're going to be ok, Aang."

I knew what was going to happen next. So I decided to mix things up a bit. I mean I did say I would swim later.

Standing up I placed a hand on Aang's shoulder, "As the Oracle, I advise you to not to what you're planning on doing Aang. That is unsafe. So. In other words...YOLO!" I screamed as I drove off the side of Appa.

I could hear the others screaming my name, but I was too busy cackling. I hate the feeling of falling—as my stomach drops to my feet—but I'm going to ride the Unagi god damnit!

Plunging into the water, I see a faint (f/c) glow surround me as I swim down onto the Unagi's head. The glow then engulfed the two of us as we resurfaced.

Surprisingly the Unagi didn't seem to mind me being on it's head, in fact I think I could feel it purring?

As if knowing my request, the Unagi began to put out the fire. As well as completely soak prince Zuko.

"BAHAHH, that's what you get for marking me you angsty prince! Anyways I'm going to be leaving now—just like that receding hairline of yours!" I smirked as I hear a faint scream.

Giving the Unagi one last pat on the head I jumped off as Appa caught me.

-

Climbing back onto Appa's back I am immediately dragged into a hug from Katara. "I'm so so so sorry for how I reacted back on the beach. It wasn't my right to yell at you like that, nor to tell you how you should act just because you're the Oracle.."

"It's ok Katara, just promise me you'll get those anger issues of yours sorted." I deadpanned, Katara chuckled nervously before glaring at her brother as he busted out laughing.

I squeaked as I'm dragged into a hug once more, "Aanggg, what the heck—"

"I thought I lost you.."

Blinking, I stared at him. Before I started laughing, "Aang, you really think you can get rid of me that easily? It's going to be even harder now since I am your destined helper." I said as I wiggled my eyebrows—smiling when I finally got him to laugh.
