Two More Team Mates

We step up onto some little platforms, and it's only then I spot the labyrinth below us. It's a maze of trees and bushes and rocks, many shades of green and yellows and browns.

"So James, you're going for flag number one. You can both start on the clackson."

Emma P.O.V

After a few seconds, the clackson bellows, and James jumps forward onto the frame. He scales it, like a chimp, up to the first yellow flag, making the task look incredibly simple.

"Ok Emma, go for flag number two."

I place my hands on the icy-cold metal and my foot on a crossbar. I then hoist myself up, channelling my inner Lara Croft, begging myself not to look down. "You're so close Emma!" James cheers, taking one hand off his frame to give me a thumbs up.

I reach out over to the flag and retrieve it.

James scales the beam to grab the third and fifth flag, and I retrieve the fourth and sixth flag respectively.

The penultimate flag is a challenge. I study James' body as he methodically extends his arms and fondles with the hook on the seventh flag. Once he's retrieved it, I jump up to the next rung and reach out to go to unhook the eighth flag.

"Hook your other leg around the beam, and reach out." James talks me through it. "You can do this. I know you can."

Whilst adjusting my footing, I spot how far up James and I actually are. One misstep or one slip would send you plummeting to your death without a harness.

Instantaneously, the wind blows the flag closer to me, and I yank it off of the rope with all my force.

James proceeds to the ninth flag. He clambers up the beam, like a young and handsome Tarzan.

"Emma, you're onto the last star now."

James P.O.V

I hold onto the beam for dear life, hugging myself around it and gripping like my life depends on it.

Emma clambers up the beam, with it swaying side to side due to almighty gusts of wind.

She looks incredibly calm, controlled, and very attractive. Her legs propel her body up to the top of the beam, where every gust almost throws her off.

Her left leg hooks around the bar, and she reaches out to grab the final flag, when the wind kicks up and blows it the other way.

"Come on you little tyke!" She comedically complains, stretching like a slinky. "Please don't do this!"

Instantaneously, Emma's foot slips, and her legs fall through the beam. "Emma!" I cry, but she hooks an arm around the beam above, and saves herself.

"Are you ok?" Dec asks desperately.

"I'm fine!" Emma hurls herself back up onto the beam, "I just hit my shin really hard". She gets back in position and reaches out for it again.

Emma grabs the tail of the flag and pulls it towards her. She unhooks it, and tags it to her belt.

"Well done guys! Let's get you down."

I climb down the beam, reaching the heavenly floor. Once we're unhooked from the safety wires, I skip over to Emma and throw my arms around her.

"Congratulations! You did amazing!" She smiles, hugging me tightly.

"I panicked so much watching you almost fall off of that beam." I catch my breath. "But oh my gosh, well done!"

Emma P.O.V

I stand beside James and Sair. They just completed their challenge, so now we're going to see who won.

Holly stands with a stopwatch. "The red team completed the challenge in ... 11 minutes and 20 seconds."

"The yellow team," James wraps an arm around me, "completed the challenge in ... 10 minutes and 45 seconds! Congratulations yellow team, you have won!"

James hugs me tightly. "Well done!" He chants.

"So Yellow team, you will get to pick your first two teammates. Your chopper awaits!"

James and I are guided out onto an open evergreen field, where another chopper awaits us. We sprint towards it, climbing into the back seat trying not to be decapitated by the spinning blades. I shuffle into the furthest seat, and James locks himself into the seat beside mine.

"So let's plan this out," I suggest as we rise off the floor. "We need someone who's strong,"

"But I'm strong?" James flexes his arm muscles (which is kind of hot) and chuckles to himself. "And someone who's clever, definitely."

The chopper launches across the baby blue sky, to a terrain that is less forest and more sand. The helicopter begins to descend but hovers in view of four more celebrities, two male and two female, who are suited and booted for the jungle.

"No way! Is that Harry Redknapp?" The band member points out of the window. "And Nick Knowles?"

I look down at the celebrities. There stand Harry and Nick, alongside the gorgeous Fleur East and mastermind Anne Hegerty.

I shake his arm playfully. "Please can we have Fleur!" I beg. "She's so physically fit and so lovely!"

"Don't give me puppy eyes," he taps my nose. "But yeah, that's a really good idea. And Anne! She's like a quiz wizard."

After finalising the idea, the helicopter lands. The door flies open, and I quickly leap out on to the land.

"Hi, guys!" I scream over the roaring noise of the chopper. Rapidly, I grab Fleur and Anne's hands and drag them back to the helicopter.

We all climb into the team yellow chopper, with Fleur on my left and James on my right.

As the door shuts, and we rise into the sky's again, James and I officially welcome Fleur and Anne; I'm absolutely elated they're on our team.

"You're joining team yellow!"

With a very detailed story, James and I explain everything that's happened so far in our I'm A Celebrity journey. By the time we've finished, we've landed in a completely different region of Australia.

My feet dig into the beige barren sand that is swept across the ground. It's a lot warmer out now as the blazing sun beating down on my skin unbearably. Not long after, the red team land, and out jumps Harry and Nick, along with the original members of team Red, Said and John.

"Welcome to your second challenge!" Dec roars, skipping over to us with Holly following shortly after. "Nick, Harry, Fleur and Anne, welcome to Australia! I'm sure your teams have you all up to speed, so we should be ready for your second part of the challenge."

Parked in a small sand dune is one red and one yellow off-road rustic jeep. "The new members of your teams will take charge in this challenge."

Holly quickly hands Anne a map and Fleur a set of keys. "In this challenge, you will follow the map, and drive your jeep to the challenge site. Once you're there, all will become clear."

We're motioned off instantly.

"After you," James opens up the back door of the jeep and lets me climb inside. I step up into the seat and shuffle over. "It's gonna be a tight squeeze."

Before I even have time to put my seatbelt on, the jeep jolts forward. "Fleur!"

"I'm so sorry Em!" She apologises, slowing down a little. As we chat on the way to the challenge site, I find that Fleur is the most likeable and admirable character. And Anne ... she's a complex, intelligent beast; she definitely suits the role of the Governess.

We hit a bump in the sand, and I'm knocked over to James' side of the Jeep, and I accidentally kick his shin with my boots. "You alright?" He asks, resting a hand on my leg.

"I'm good," I reassure him. "I'm sorry if I kicked you-"

"No, it's fine. Honestly, it's fine." He chuckles. "Just be careful."

We reach the challenge site in ten minutes or so. Fleur drives up to what looks like a yellow ticket barrier. On the ticket barrier are two lights, one spraying a red colour and the other currently unlit.

"Collect your tokens here. Tokens vary in size." Anne reads of a box that's outside her window. "What does the box on your side say, Fleur?"

"Umm... 'Place tokens in slots. Token slots vary in size'." Fleur reads. "So, I'm guessing that we wait for the light to go green? Then we take the tokens out Anne's box, and put them in this one?"

"I reckon so." James nods, examining the box. "... Oh crap, look," He points to the windscreen where the light has turned from red to green.

Anne frantically rolls down her window and breaks apart the membrane at the front of the box. She wearily forces her hand inside and reaches around for a star.

"What's in there?" I ask, leaning over to James' side of the car to get a better look.

"Freaking crabs!" She pulls one token out of the box, and as she reaches back in, she recoils like a bungee cord. "Something bit me!" She bellows, but bravely puts her hand back in.

Anne pulls out four more tokens, along with a spider that looks like a Halloween decoration. Fleur then grabs one of the five yellow stars, and breaks the seal on her box.

"Ow!" She yelps, clenching her teeth together. "They're the biting ants, what are they called?"

I grab onto the head cushion of Fleur's seat and shuffle forward. "Awh bless, they're green ants."

Fleur slots in four out of the five yellow stars, and goes to grab the final star. "Crap, where has the star gone?"

"Check by your feet Emma, it might have fallen down the side of the chair," James scurries, leaning over to look. "By your left foot!"

I spot the waxy plastic on the floor and lean down to grab the star. It's covered by a few green ants that chew at the skin on my hands.

"Ahh, they nip don't they!" I gasp, giving the token to Fleur. She shoves her hand back in the box for the final time, wrenching and squealing at the overwhelming pain.

"You've got this Fleur!" James encourages.

Fleur yanks her hand out of the box, brushing off all of the pests. "Done!"

We sit and wait for a while; nothing really happens - the ticket barrier stays firmly closed.

"So, what now then?" Fleur asks, switching off the car engine. When I unbuckle my seatbelt, a sudden beeping noise rings through the car, and a piece of paper is dispensed from a slot in the box.

Anne asks, "What does it say?"

"Yellow team," Fleur recites. "You lost. Losers can't be choosers. The final member of your team: Emily Attack."

The ticket barrier lifts up, and Fleur drives the car forward. "Come on peeps," I cheer. "Let's go get the final member of our team!"

For the next chapter, I'm gonna try and go a little bit faster so I don't fall too far behind on episodes!
