“Isabelle, don’t forget to go ask the Alpha for permission to visit Lily” my mother said walking down the stairs.

Putting the last piece of cloth in the suitcase I replied, “I’ll go to his office after breakfast.”

Walking out of my bedroom I saw my mom in the kitchen preparing pancakes and eggs with bacon, “Mom where is Chris and Dad?” I asked while putting a piece of grapes in my mouth.

“They went for a run, they will be back anytime now.”

After a few minutes Dad and Chris walked in as soon as the breakfast was ready. We had our breakfast and I left to go meet the alpha to ask for permission.

As I entered the pack house I went directly to the Alphas office, knocking once on the door he quickly said come in Izzy.

I walked in the office smiling “Hey Dan, can I go visit my friend Lily for a few weeks at the Golden Moon pack? The alpha there already gave her the okay for me to stay at the pack house during my visit.”

Dan was the current Alpha of our Pack the Red moon Pack. Dan, Chris and I were so close since we almost grew up together in the pack. Chris my brother was the beta of the pack, while I was one of the strong warriors in the pack.

Waiting for Dan to finish what he was doing, I picked up a few mint candies from his office table to chew on. Candy was one of my favorite sweets.

Dan looked up from the papers he was working on and said “If the other Alpha is okay with it then yes why not you can go as long as you don’t cause any problem over there. Sam can be a jerk sometimes.”

Sam is the Alpha of the Golden moon pack. He is one of the strongest and cruelest Alphas in the north, and there was a rumor that he never wanted a mate because she will only make him weak. Dan on the other hand was one of the friendliest and sweetest Alphas. I always wished Dan was my mate, but he wasn’t.

Hugging Dan I thanked him for letting me go visit Lily and headed home. After making sure I have everything I need for my little vacation, I went to say goodbye to my parents.

Chris drove me to the border of the Golden moon Pack. Lily was waiting for me there with the delta of the pack. Jumping out of the car I gave Lily a big hug, and introduced myself to the delta which I learned his name is Mike.

Lily was my best friend; we met abroad when we both left our packs to go study. Since we were both werewolves surrounded by humans we clicked from the moment we met.

After moving my bags from Car to car, and assuring Chris that everything will be alright and I would call if I needed anything, I said my goodbyes to him.

“Izzy I missed you girl” she said while getting in the car.

“I missed you too Lily, I’m so excited to spend 2 weeks with you, it is going to be just like the old days!” I replied.

Mike was the one driving taking us back to the pack house, while I sat with Lily in the back seat chitchatting.

The drive to the Pack house was long. Trees were surrounding us on both sides, and everything around us seemed quite.

As we arrived to the pack house, Mike informed me to go unpack in the bedroom assigned to me until the Alpha asks to see me. Making my way to the bedroom with Lily I noticed a few pack members looking weirdly at me.

“They are not used to anyone visiting the pack” Lily told me as we got to the bedroom. “And plus you look completely different than us or the people around here with your tanned skin and brown hair.”

Most of the people in this pack are pale white because of the lack of sun and the gloomy weather. Lily and I look completely opposite of each other, while I have tanned skin and brown hair, she has blonde hair and pale white skin.

“Common Lily doesn’t the Alpha or anyone from the pack get visitors? Our pack house is always filled with people and Dan always has some friends or warriors visiting from different packs.”

“Alpha Sam is not very friendly and his girlfriend Mia or as she says the “temporary Luna” of the pack is mean and people from outside the pack prefer not visiting because of her.” Lily said.

“I thought the rumor is that your Alpha doesn’t want a mate how come he has a girlfriend?” I asked surprised.

Just as I asked the question a beautiful tall lady with long blonde hair walks by us and looks at me with a disgusted face.

“You must be the pathetic warrior visiting from the red moon pack. I hope you learn a few things from us so you can go teach that Alpha of yours. And to answer your question Sam doesn’t want a mate because he has a strong Luna like me.” Mia said while glaring at me.

A low growl escaped my mouth as she referred to me and my wolf as a pathetic warrior. Before I could reply she turned her back and left. My body was shaking from anger and my wolf wanted me to fight Mia for insulting us. I don’t know what was wrong with my wolf and why she was acting this way.

“I can now see why people don’t like visiting this pack” I muttered walking to the bedroom and unpacking my stuff. Lily started laughing at my comment and told me not to get upset that Mia is always rude and mean with everyone.

“Wait until you meet the Alpha. He is called the heartless Alpha for a reason.” She said while laughing.
