As the attacks in the Pride Lands continued, Kovu lad Timothy across the Pride Lands and towards the Outlands. Once they got to the border between the Pride Lands and the Outlands, Timothy was confused and looked at Kovu, "Uh, I thought you were gonna take me to a safe place?" Timothy said to Kovu, who turned around to look at him. "I am, it's not far now." Kovu said as he continued walking and heading into the Outlands. Timothy was cautious at first but his headache was acting up again and he just followed Kovu into the Outlands without thinking. Kovu turned his head to look at Timothy and saw he was following him. Kovu turned his head back forward and made an evil smirk.

Back at Pride Rock, Kiara and her two friends, Tiffu and Zuri, were going to check on Timothy to make sure he was alright. "Do you think Timothy will let us play with his fur again?" Tiffu asked with an excited smile across both her and Zuri's muzzles. "I highly doubt that." Kiara replied, "Besides, we won't be in there for long, we're only going to ask Timothy if he needs anything." Kiara added as she and her two friends entered the Lion Guard Lair, but they didn't see Timothy anywhere.

"Where is he?" Zuri asked with a disappointed look across her muzzle. "He probably went to get what he needed himself." Tiffu guessed trying to cheer Zuri up. "No I don't think so." Kiara stated as she looked at the ground and saw pairs of tracks exiting the Lair. Kiara sniffed the tracks and caught a scent, "That's Timothy's scent!" Kiara stated while pointing at Timothy's footprints with her nose, "He exited the Lair with... " Kiara was about to add as she sniffed the other pair and caught the scent that made her gasp. Tiffu and Zuri had worried looks across their muzzles when they heard their best friend gasp, "Who, who is it?" Zuri asked in a panicking tone. Kiara turned her head to look at Tiffu and Zuri then made an angry look on her face, "Zira!" Kiara said which also made her two best friends gasp.

Meanwhile with the Lion Guard, they've managed to defeat Scar's army with the help with the Pride Landers. When they saw the Hyenas, Jackals, Crocodiles and Vultures retreat into the Outlands, Bunga raised his hands into the air, "Woohoo, we win again." Bunga said which made Fuli roll her eyes in annoyance. "You think so?" Said a familiar voice coming from behind a boulder which was to the left of the Lion Guard and the Pride Landers. The voice came from Janja as he jumped out from behind the boulder, "'Cause I thinks that Scar's army has won." Janja added with an evil smile on his face. "I don't know what you mean Janja, but get out of the Pride Lands before I Roar you out." Kion said in an angry tone and glaring at Janja. "Yeah, the Pride Lands are ours and they will never belong to you or Scar." Bunga added while putting his fist and hand together.

Janja just laughed at Bunga's comment, "This ain't over Lion Guard." Janja said as he retreated into the Outlands, but not before turning his head to look at them one more time, "Also, for your information, when I said that Scar's army has won, I didn't mean by taking over the Pride Lands." Janja said with an evil smirk then went to the Outlands. As the Pride Landers went back to their own spots in the Pride Lands, Kion and his friends were curious on what Janja just said, "What do you think he meant by that?" Beshte asked. "He could be talking about killing all the Pride Landers." Ono suggested. "No, I don't think so." Kion said.

In the middle of their thinking, the Lion Guard heard the princess calling out their name. "LION GUARD, LION GUARD!" Kiara shouted as she stopped in front of them. When Kion saw his sister like this, he began to worry, "Kiara, what's happened?" Kion asked while looking at his sister. "Kion, I went to the Lion Guard Lair to check on Timothy, but we wasn't there, he's gone." Kiara said. Kion and his friends were surprised when Kiara said that, "Where is he?" Fuli asked while looking at the princess. "More like, 'who has taken him?'" Kiara corrected, "I think Timothy was taken by Zira!" Kiara revealed. 

"ZIRA!" The Lion Guard all yelled with surprise looks on their faces. "Lion Guard, we got a friend to save, again." Kion said to his friends then looked at his sister, "Kiara, go back to Pride Rock where it's safe." Kion ordered. "No Kion, I'm helping you and the Guard." Kiara said with a confident look on her face. Kion knew once his sister made up her mind, it was difficult to stop her. "Alright, but be careful." Kion said, "Now, which way did they go?" Ono asked while looking at Kiara. "I tracked their scent and it's heading into the Outlands." Kiara said. "Then let's go." Kion said, "Till the Pride Lands End... " Kion started, "Lion Guard Defend." The Guard and Kiara finished.

In the Outlands, Timothy was still following Kovu, but he saw that they were getting closer and closer to the Volcano. "Kovu?" Timothy called which caused Kovu to turn his head and look at Timothy, "Is the safe place in that Volcano?" Timothy asked with a worried look on his face. "Well, not 'safe' safe, but safe enough." Kovu said with a innocent smile. "Kovu, that Volcano has a great evil inside." Timothy said, "If anything, it's... " Timothy was about to say but paused as he now realized what's going on. "It's what Timothy?" Kovu asked. "A death trap." Timothy whispered. Kovu was surprised that Timothy said that, "What do you mean?" Kovu said trying to sound innocent. Timothy glared at Kovu, "You weren't gonna take me to a safe place, you were leading me to a death trap." Timothy said in an angry tone while still glaring at Kovu.

"Yes, he was!" Said a female voice, coming from above. Timothy looked up and saw he was surrounded by a pride of Lionesses. "And I got to say, my son Kovu did an excellent job." The voice saai, which turned out to be Zira, who was smirking evilly, while Kovu left Timothy and stood next to his mother. "So, the attacks on the Pride Lands were only a distraction so Kovu could take me to your little death trap." Timothy said, guessing the evil plan. "Why, aren't you so clever, little Human with nowhere else to go." Zira taunted, "No friends, no family and no home to go too." Zira finished as she laughed evilly. 

Timothy was getting angry when Zira taunted him, but saw that she was right. "You're right." Timothy said, which made Zira and her pride confused, "I didn't have friends, family or a home... " Timothy paused while Zira and her pride laughed, "Until I met the Lion Guard." Timothy finished with a smile which caused Zira and her pride to stop laughing. "The Lion Guard helped me when I was stuck in quicksand, and helped me when I was under the spell of the side-affect." Timothy said, "They showed me that by working as a team they can defend their home, family and each other from whatever throws at them. That's what I did when I met the Lion Guard." Timothy continued, "If there's anything I have learned while being with the Lion Guard, is that I am lucky to call the Lion Guard my new family... " Timothy said and the Energy Symbol on his chest glowed a faint yellow, "And that I am not afraid of who I am or who I will become... " Timothy continued then the symbol glowed even brighter, "And if I am not afraid of myself and I can call the Lion Guard my new family, I guess I can call the Pride Lands, my new home." Timothy finished.

After Timothy said that last part, the Energy Symbol on his chest glowed the color yellow like crazy. While it was glowing, Timothy heard a sound which he thought he'd never hear again. He heard an object coming really fast so Timothy reached out his right hand and then the object landed on his hand. Once the object reached his hand, a huge shockwave came from Timothy and it reached out as far as Pride Rock. The shockwave knocked down Zira and her pride of Lionesses, and the Lion Guard who were now in the Outlands.

"UN-BUNGA-LIEVABLE!" Bunga shouted while getting back up on his feet and seeing a seeing a yellow glow near the Volcano. "What in the Pride Lands!" Fuli and Kiara said at the same time in complete shock. "C'mon, let's check it out." Kion said as he and his sister and friends went closer to the bright yellow glow. When the Lion Guard reached to the bright yellow glow, they could not believe what they were seeing. "I say it again, un-bunga-lievable." Bunga repeated what he said before in complete shock on what he was seeing. 

What the Lion Guard was seeing was Timothy in the middle of that yellow glow, holding what looked like a golden sword. Beshte looked at Ono, who was on his back, "Hey Ono, what's Timothy holding in his hand?" Beshte asked. Ono tried to use his vision to see it, but the glow was too bright for him to see. "Hmm, sorry Beshte, it's too bright down there." Ono said. "Well whatever it is, I say we teach Zira and her pride a lesson on messing with our friends." Fuli said as she was about to charge, but Kion stopped her. "No wait, I wanna see what Timothy is gonna do." Kion said as he and his sister and friends watched.

Back with Timothy, he was still glowing a bright yellow and he looked at his sword and the Energy Stone on Light floated off of the sword and onto the Energy Symbol. When it did, the Symbol glowed a bright yellow again and the stone made it's way into Timothy's heart. Once it did. the sword disappeared then the yellow glow became dimmer and dimmer until it was no longer seen again. All that can be seen was Timothy standing and not hurt. Zira and her pride looked at Timothy and saw he was not hurt. "KILL HIM!" Zira shouted in anger, then all of her pride jumped down and surrounded Timothy.

The Lion Guard were worried and were about to jump in to save their friend, "Guys, I think Timothy's got this." Kion said while stopping his friends from going in. "Kion, he's defenseless down there." Kiara mentioned. "Yeah, what makes you think he's gonna be alright?" Fuli asked while backing up Kiara's statement. "Just watch." Kion said as he was still watching what was going to happen next. 

Just as the Lionesses were about to jump on Timothy and tear him apart, Timothy smirked and stomped his left foot, which caused another shockwave. Then Timothy reached out his right hand then the Energy Sword reappeared then it morphed into a staff. More Lionesses came running in, even Zira and Hatari came running to try to take down Timothy, but he swung his staff and knocking down every single one of Zira's pride except for Hatari and Zira herself. "DIE!" Hatari shouted as he charged straight towards at Timothy, but he dodged Hatari's attack and charged straight at a cliff wall, which had a sharp rock sticking out. When Hatari hit the cliff wall, the sharp rock jabbed him the the head, killing him in the process.

When Zira saw that Hatari was dead, she looked at Timothy filled with rage. "YOU... YOU KILLED HIM!" Zira shouted while glaring at Timothy. "Actually, it was anger that killed him, that's how Scar got killed." Timothy explained, "And it will happen to you, but not today." Timothy added as he pointed his staff at Zira, "Now if I were you, I'd run." Timothy finished as he lifted his staff in the air then lowered it until it hit the ground then a huge gush of wind came by and blew Zira, her pride of Lionesses and her children back to the huge Termite Mound.

As Timothy looked in the same direction Zira and her pride went, he opened his right hand causing his staff to disappear. After he did that, he sensed the Lion Guard was nearby so he looked up at the cliff and saw them standing there and smiling at him. Timothy smiled back and waved at them, which caused them to wave back. "What just happened?" Kiara asked while looking at her brother. "He did it." Kion started, "Timothy has broken his curse." Kion said finishing his sentence.

Next time in The Golden Guardian Adventures: Timothy and the Lion Guard; Timothy has finally broken the curse his parents gave him and has learned what it means to be Loyal, Brave and True, but he meant what he said when he was talking to Zira! Kion and his friends are happy that Timothy is free from his curse, but that would also mean that he has to leave the Pride Lands and protect Chima. Will Timothy decide to leave the Pride Lands, or will he decide to stay in the Pride Lands and call it his new home?
