"Welcome to stage four of the competition" - Mr. Soot

He was standing on the stage and we were behind the curtains.

"We have 20 bands here and they each will perform a song following the alt/indie genre! Keep watch because 10 of these bands will be joining us on Friday to perform their final song! You will be able to vote for your top 3, you then get to pick who you want to win!"

"Lets start of with funky fur balls!!"

We waited in the stands for a while and started getting angsty, we knew we had a great song and we knew we could make it to top 10 but now all that was left were the best 20 in the school. So we literally had proper competition.

It didn't help that DWAYNE THE ROCK JOHNSON have a speech before one of the bands performance to try and convince the judges to pick them. FUCKING THE ROCK!! HOW HOW HOW HOW?? I DONT GET IT!

But now it was our turn. The one thing that was keeping me calm were quackity and Karl's commentating.

"Well Karl looks like we have the dream team next."

"That's right big Q. I think I'm rooting for them, I've heard they are one of the ones to watch along with the bench trio."

"That's right, we actually have a clip to show the viewers watching this live on twitch of the song their performed in stage two."

Quackity and Karl were live streaming the entire event on twitch. They actually were doing well and they had like 100,000 viewers. But that only made things even scarier. Those 100,000 viewers couldn't vote in the final vote but they still had opinions. Also some of them probably watched out channel so Dream had to buy a mask to cover the top half of his face.

"Even though I'm rooting for the dream team just like you Karl, I also kinda think the bench trio have a big shot. I heard that their stage 3 song made Mr. Soot and Mr. Minecraft get up and start dancing like girls in tween movies. If only we had a clip of that, I would've cried"

"Well why don't you shut the honk up because UP NEXT WE HAVE THE DREAM TEAM!!!"

We walked onto the stage and were bombarded with cheers. Good thing we weren't last ones performing because the crowd would probably be dead by then.

Sapnap got onto the keyboard and Dream help the mic. I gripped me guitar and got ready to start playing.

I led us in with guitar before sapnap joined and dream graced us with his godly vocals.

I saw and the entire crowd went silent. I could feel the catJams being spammed in chat.

I saw schlatts and Ellie frown, they clearly knew where this song was going. All I wanted to do was scream 'SUCK IT' but of course I didn't. I wanted to win.

I saw the teachers faces, they were in pure shock and honestly so was I, dream was singing with such emotion and he hit every note perfectly. He was singing better than he had ever done.

I look at sapnap and he looks at me, he smiles at me and nods. I would look at dream but I doubt he would notice. He was in his own musical world.

Sapnap joined in at that last part. It was a really powerful song. I looked up at the booth Karl and quackity were in and I saw the proudness in their faces. This is why we were the feral boys.

I look at Mr. Blade and he mouths the words 'well done, I'm proud of you.' I nearly teared up. Mr. Soot seemed so happy with what we did. And schlatt was walking out of the auditorium, guess he must of had enough.

Sapnap was singing the backing vocals whilst dream belted out his voice. I have literally never heard him sing this way. I was so proud.

There was moment of silence before clapping and cheering could be heard.

I saw dream take a step back and I ran up to him with a giant hug. Sapnap came and joined in after like 10 milliseconds.

I was editing the most recent manhunt, this is me procrastinating from writing the song because I really am struggling mentally to do this.

But my Fear of failure really was just not helping. I hated loosing, or failing. Honestly just it's sucked because overthinking everything was terrible. I used to have a really bad fear of failure but with the help of therapy for 5 years of my life, it turn it into a competitive drive.

Sometimes my competitive vibe gets too strong and makes me crazy but it's better than literally never doing anything because it's too scary.

And I'm not a sore loser it's just I get really competitive.

That's when I came up with the idea that my fans and the school might like.

We first did just a bit more practice before we couldn't handle the hunger. We walked over to the local Burger King and got our orders

As we were sitting we saw the bench trio walk by.

They ended up chatting with us the entire time and ate their food with us. It was nice to have a normal conversation without there being competition. Sapnap pulled Tommy aside and left us alone. I'd ask him about it later.

Sapnap POV:

"Hey Tommy."

"Yes bitch boy?"

"I got you your money, but because of that. I'm not going to pay you back."

"What no please. Mother won't let me buy this new drum set until you pay me back."

"I'm kidding of course I'm gonna pay you back, I just sent it to you on Paypal. Thank you so much, I don't know what I would've done if you weren't there"

"Of course man, we're friends right? I'm glad your doing better now. Also my dad was wondering if your dad wanted to do this business deal with him. I didn't even tell him about your situation he just wants your dads help because he's got business smarts you know? You think he'll be up for it?"

"Yea I'm sure he will, I'll get him to text your dad!"

"Cool now lets get back before I have to punt you to assert my alpha male status."

This is why Tommy is awesome. He got my dad a job, he helped me when I was at my worst and he still has a way of not making me feel shitty about needing help. If we don't win, they better. I swear if funky furballs or something wins I'll cry.

3 days until stage 5, the final stage. And we would find out if we won or not.
