Chapter 23 - Izuku.

Izuku watched as the Ragtags eyes blew wide as they took in everything presented to them. It was about the size of Main Room, but half on top of that too. The walls were solid steel, with sound proofing then explosion/shock proof lining that was of Izuku's own making. Then it was painted white. Easier to manage that way, plus reflected the light to make it easier to see, more so if he was in here for hours at a time. The floor was simple wooden flooring, with some areas made up of tiles.

There was about thirty steel tables that could sit three people comfortably, loaded down with a wide variety of things, ranging from burners, microscopes, petri dishes, scales, pipettes/droppers, beakers etc. He also had high end stuff, including mixers, pressers, rolling mills, drying machine, filters, shakers, analysers etc. It was, in another words, every top scientists dream to own what he had in this room. Glass fronted cabinets against the walls held tubes, chemicals, dishes and other things.

There was a few scattered whiteboards with loads of mathematical formulations, diagrams or other things scrawled on them. One desk held nothing but an abundance of notes with hastily written formulas, diagrams, research, things he'd mixed together etc. He had many tools ranging from electric meters, forceps, solders, wire cutters, wire strippers, tweezers, files, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, saws, wrenches. Then there was the medical tools - bone saws, forceps, needles, scalpels, sewing needles etc. Hell, Izuku even had jars full of eyes, brains, tongues etc from various animals and such.

The last time his mum had been here, she'd called him a mad scientist, which he'd just shot a grin at her for. He wholly agreed after all. About three quarters of the way down from where they stood, was the real kicker. That was his inventions. Grabbing his regular, albeit freshly cleaned lab coat, even though it was splattered with dried blood (don't ask), chemicals, weird-coloured goo type stuff, and other things, he shrugged into it, before handing over new spares to everyone else. They put them on and done them up properly. Safety glasses were handed over next, but they were just hung onto the breast pocket as they weren't doing anything that required them. At least they didn't question why his was the state it was.

"Remember what I said, don't touch anything." Izuku warned before walking down the middle of the room. He could hear them following. He stopped at one of the desks and turned around.
"So, what do you think?" He asked. Rhyki just smirked, knowing already what it was like in here.
"Dude, this is some freaky shit. Are you sure you're not a mad fucking scientist or something?" Bakugou said, looking around.
"I take that as a compliment, because I am. If I wasn't dead set on being a hero, then this would be the next thing I'd do. Along with inventing gear." He shrugged.

"Gear?" Eiji looked at him.
"Gear for pros. Support items. Costumes etc."
"Really?"
"Yep."
"That's impressive. Who have you designed stuff for?" Mina asked, linking her arm with Sero's.
"Kamui Woods. Mt Lady. Backdraft. Gunhead. Eraserhead. Present Mic. Midnight. Plus others."
"Holy shit that's impressive." Kaminari whispered, in complete awe as he stared at Izuku.

"Thanks. You've probably heard of that side of me. I'm known as Creator."
"No way?! That's you? Dude, I've heard of Creator's legendary work. It's literally top notch that even the high end scientists/inventors on I-Island beg to work with Creator." Sero's eyes pretty much sparkled in amazement. Rhyki snorted and headed off further down the lab.
"Is that true?" Eiji asked.
"Yeah, it is Eiji. But barely anyone knows the identity of Creator. So, please keep it a secret."
"We will, promise." Eiji took a hold of his hand, squeezing reassuringly.
"Izu!" Rhyki hollered and he glanced over his shoulder at her.

"What?"
"Is this what I think it is?" She had a small black device sitting in her palm. He led them down to her and took a look at what she held.
"Yeah, it's the newly modified amplifier for Present Mic that I've been working on. So that it isn't as bulky as his other one." He took it off her and twisted it. It clicked open to reveal a smaller box inside with a small dial on the side. Removing it, he handed it Eiji to have a look.
"What's the dial for?" Eiji glanced at him before passing it to Bakugou, who was next to him.
"So he can control the volume of his voice to vary on what mission or whatever he's on. When it's attached, clockwise goes louder, anticlockwise is quieter."

"That's really impressive. How many tries did it get you to do this?" Rhyki questioned.
"That's the end product, so all in all, three times." He replied, before picking up a note pad.
"Go sit on the bean bags. Game console is still there from last time Rhyki."
"Sounds good to me, but why?" She queried.
"I've got an idea I want to run with. I'm borrowing Kaminari." He pulled Kaminari away from them. Once they were a good distance, he motioned for the blonde to sit on a stool, which he did. Izuku grabbed another and settled next to him.
"So, what did you want with me dude?" Kami asked.

"Rhyki informed me that you are finding it hard to control your quirk outage. If you go too high, you short circuit yourself, correct?" Izuku flipped to a clean page in the pad.
"Yeah, it's true." He glanced at the desk as his cheeks stained red with embarrassment/shame.
"Kami, you don't need to be embarrassed about that. All pros at one time couldn't control their quirks without help or training. That's why I want to help you. How about we try and create something that will help you in the long run?" That got him lifting his head.
"Really?"
"Sure." Kami grabbed Izuku for a tight hug, and he felt some tears on his neck.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." Kami whispered repeatedly. Izuku chuckled and hugged him back, reassuring the guy. When he moved back, Izuku gently wiped the tears away.
"We're friends Kami, we look out for each other. Ragtags forever, remember?" Izuku held his fist up.
"Right!" Kami knocked his knuckles with him, then Izuku pulled a pencil from his pocket. He always had at least three/four on him when wearing his lap coat.
"Ok. So, your pro costume is trousers, white t-shirt and a jacket, correct?"
"Yeah, not very impressive, but it's comfortable." He sheepishly admitted.

"Nonsense. As long as you're comfortable wearing it, that's the main thing. If it suits you, that's all that matters. Anyway, would you object to jewellery?"
"Nope, I don't. What do you have in mind?" Izuku glanced at him and he looked curious. Izuku felt himself slipping into his inventor side, as ideas started zapping through his mind lightning quick.
"How does a choker sound?" He started to scribble one down.
"Sounds good to me. What would it made from though?"
"Well, we need to use resources that will help you. So I'm thinking either rubber or plastic."
"Huh?" Kami looked completely stumped.

"Just trust me. I'll figure out something to help you but obviously put a spin on it." Izuku didn't look up from the design and within minutes, he'd done two different drawings detailed with calculations.
"Ok. What kind of spin are you thinking?"
"It will still allow electricity through for full impact, but it won't hurt you. What's your limit for now?"
"Erm, million and a half vaults, give or take."
"Can you go up to two million?"
"I think so. It'll short circuit me though."

"How do we get you out of that?"
"Get me a charger and it counteracts it after about a minute."
"No problem. Can you show me?"
"Here?"
"Definitely not in here. In a side room." Izuku chuckled. It wouldn't do anyone any good if Kaminari let his quirk out. That was more because of the dangerous things he had scattered around the place.
"Sure. Let's go." Izuku nodded, gathered his pad and pen for taking notes and stood up.
"Everything alright?" They glanced over and Eiji was looking at them, but at his question, the others did as well.

"Yep. All good. Just testing something." He smiled reassuringly and led the blonde to a side room, shutting the door behind him. Kaminari walked into the middle of the space, while Izuku stood behind some toughened plastic.
"Are you going to be ok behind that?" He looked up from his pad.
"Yep. I'll be fine. Ok, face the wall to your right and send as much of your electricity to it as you can for me. And don't worry about damaging the room, it can withhold upwards of ten billion vaults of electricity." Kaminari nodded and activated his quirk. Yellow electricity flew around him.

"One point five million vaults." Kami shouted and bolts flew at the wall. Izuku jotted notes down rapidly, keeping an eye on his friend.
"Up it a bit for me?" He called out.
"Two million vaults!" Kaminari shot more and started to smoke a little. Izuku scrunched his face up a little, brain working overtime. Once Kami stopped, he stood in the middle of the room, a little bit of drool hanging from his mouth as he held two thumbs up. Izuku realised he'd short circuited himself. But at least he had something to work on. He grabbed the male, slung him over his shoulder with ease and left the room. He didn't like how light he felt either. Did Kaminari not eat enough? Izuku would change that, even if it meant he made his meals for him.

"Woah, what happened?" He glanced at the group, but just shook his head and took Kami to where they'd been sat. He settled him on the stool, grabbed a charger, and shoved it into his mouth.
"You won't get anything out of Izuku for a little while. Creator has been activated." He heard Rhyki chuckle, before hearing footsteps. From the corner of his eye, he saw the group join them, standing the other side of the desk. Izuku scribbled down on the pad, before leaping to his feet, surprising everyone, but didn't pay attention to that. He went to a cabinet nearby and grabbed a small wad of rubber he had laying around. Taking it to the desk, Kaminari was now back to normal.

"You ok now?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm good. What do you want me to do now?"
"Shoes off. Draw around your feet for me." He handed over paper, and while he did that with help from Mina, Izuku was thinking over what he needed. Metal. Gathering spare, Kaminari had finished and Izuku took the drawing. Taking it to a few desks down, and putting his materials down, he settled into crafting Kaminari a pair of rubber insulated shoes, with a small metal enclosure. Which, if it went right, would allow the electricity to flow through him without damage and leak into the ground, becoming harmless to himself and anyone around/near him. Izuku blanked everything around him and sank into his work. A while later, Izuku was gently tapped on the shoulder, causing him to glance up from where he was sowing in the shoe soles. His gorgeous Eiji was beside him, holding a water bottle.

"What is it love?" He asked, lifting up the glasses he was wearing that had a magnifier attached.
"You need to drink something. You've been working non-stop for about three hours now."
"Really?" Izuku was stunned. Surely it hadn't been that long?
"Yep. Rhyki explained that you go into your own little world when working. She wasn't kidding when I glanced at you now and again, seeing you completely focused. How's it coming along?" He handed over the water, which resulted in Izuku quickly opening and drinking pretty much all of it, then wrapped an arm around his boyfriend's waist.

"Nearly done actually."
"What have you created? They look like normal converse type shoes to me."
"That was the idea, so Kaminari can wear them pretty much every day if he wanted to. I'll explain it all when I've finished, ok?"
"Sure." Eiji leaned down and kissed him. Izuku sighed happily, returning the kiss. It lasted maybe thirty seconds, if that, but it was perfect.
"It won't take me much longer to finish. You can either wait with me or go back to the others if you want." He picked the glasses up and put them on.

"I'll sit here with you." Eiji pulled up a stool and settled beside him, just silently watching him work. Fifteen or so minutes later, Izuku straightened up, pulled the glasses off, put the needle and thread down that was in his hand and stretched. His shoulders cracked from being hunched, but it was nothing he wasn't used to. He looked over his work, before smiling at Eiji.
"All done." He stood up, grabbed Eiji's hand and they went to the Ragtags. They were sprawled on the beanbags that Rhyki had insisted on having in the lab for when she visited, watching a movie. He was surprised they weren't huddled on the double bed in the far corner. Rhyki realised they were approaching, so paused it. Bakugou got up from where he was laying on her lap, and they faced them. He knelt in front of Kaminari.

"Take your shoes off for me?" He asked and the blonde nodded. Once off, Izuku handed over the two he'd created. They fitted perfectly. They were all black with a thick yellow outline of a lightning bolt on either side. Laces were bright yellow. He helped him stand up.
"How do they feel?" He questioned.
"Perfect. They're actually really comfortable and look awesome."
"Good. They also have a memory foam layer in the sole. Want to try them out?"
"Yes!" Kaminari giggled happily.
"What did you do?" Mina asked, as she clambered to her feet.

"I'll show you. Follow me." They trailed behind him to the side room and Kaminari went to where he'd been previously. The others stood with Izuku behind the plastic.
"Ready?" Kami asked, glancing over at them.
"Go for it." Izuku shot him a thumbs up and the blonde activated his quirk.
"One point five million vaults!"
"Up it more." Izuku hollered. Eyes locked entirely on him, calculating everything.
"Two million vaults!" Kaminari shouted. Everyone flinched as the electricity flew. Smoke happened again, then the vibrant yellow streaks stopped, following by a shriek. Izuku darted from behind the safety plastic and dashed over to Kaminari, disappearing into the smoke. In the middle of everything, stood Kaminari, completely fine and grinning like an absolute buffoon.

"It worked!" He squealed before jumping on Izuku. He wrapped his arms and legs around him, laughing. Izuku chuckled and held the delighted blonde.
"It's ok guys. You can come out now." He called and they walked out. Izuku held out a hand and the smoke quickly disappeared. Kaminari got off him and went to the others.
"Guys! Guys! Izuku's invention worked. I can go to two million vaults and I'm completely fine!" He started to cheerfully dance on the spot in victory, with Mina and Sero joining in. Eiji joined him and Izuku wrapped an arm around his waist. Bakugou and Rhyki just watched them with amused smirks.
"You've made him really happy." Eiji smiled.

"That was the aim. I'm glad it worked." He sighed; grateful it had indeed worked. If it hadn't, then he'd have redesigned it without hesitation.
"What exactly did you do?" Rhyki questioned, drawing his attention.
"Rubber soles with a metal closure, resulting in some of the electricity to flow into the ground beneath his feet, rendering it harmless. Which therefore also doesn't make Kaminari short circuit due to the power of it as it surges through his body. I'll create those chokers for you as well Kami."
"Thank you!" He was met with a blinding smile. That was why he did what he did. It made the long hours' worth it, seeing those who he invented for become ecstatic when what he made work perfectly. Izuku ushered them out the room.

They turned the TV off and went to the lab door. They hung the coats up, made sure they had everything, then Izuku opened the door, as Rhyki turned the lights off. Once outside and it'd shut, he led them up to the kitchen. The lights automatically went on when they entered, and the Ragtags settled at the table while Izuku went to make the food.
"How come we don't make our own?" Sero questioned.
"Because Izuku is a fucking demon in the kitchen. We'd just get in his way." Rhyki shuddered as Izuku glanced over at her.
"I'm not that bad."
"Don't you fucking lie to me. Last time you cooked, and I tried helping, you nearly fucking stabbed me!" She growled.
"You got in my way." He retorted.

"I was going to chop the vegetables for you." She countered.
"Oh well. Now, is there anything anyone doesn't like?" He asked.
"I'm easy." Bakugou replied.
"We know." Rhyki chuckled.
"Shut it little dragon." He grumbled, hooking his arm around her shoulders and pulling her into his side. She just cuddled into him with a smug look.
"As long as it isn't too spicy, I'm good with most things." Eiji answered with a smile.

"What he said." The other three replied. Izuku nodded and set about making food. He hooked his phone to the speaker and started a random playlist. The Ragtags chatted amongst themselves while he settled on making Donburi with oyakodon, as well as Tonkatsu drizzled in a fruit and vegetable based tonkatsu sauce with shredded cabbage and other salad bits. Once done, he glanced at the Ragtags, who were laughing at something. He stopped the music, turned the speaker off and pocketed his phone.

"Rhyki?" He called and his sister looked over at him.
"Yeah?"
"Come here." She got up and rushed over. When she realised why, she smiled big.
"Oh yeah!" She pretty much drooled over the food that was on the side. He shook his head at her with a smirk and they tag-teamed to carry everything over. As they put the food down, everyone instantly got excited. Once the food was distributed with chopsticks, Izuku settled beside Eiji.
"Thanks for the food!" They chirped and Izuku nodded. He watched as they took their first bite, and as one all of their heads snapped up to stare at him wide eyed.

"This is so good!" Mina cried happily.
"Glad you like it." He mumbled, before starting to eat himself. They quietly ate, just enjoying the food filling hungry stomachs. Izuku was the first finished, so took his stuff to the sink to start washing up, along with what he'd used, but he was pulled away by Eiji.
"What are you doing?" He asked his boyfriend.
"You cooked, so we'll wash up." Mina answered instead, stepping where he'd just been.
"I can do it." He grumbled, but Eiji was having none of it.

"Nope. You're not. Follow me instead." Izuku didn't really have a choice considering he had a tight grip on his hand. Sure, Izuku could get out of it, but he wanted to see where Eiji led him. He glanced over his shoulder and Rhyki was full on smirking at him while giving a sarcastic finger waving. He rolled his eyes, then focused where he was going. They went to the bedrooms and Eiji turned to him.
"Open your door babe." Izuku pulled his keys out, undone the padlock and they went in. He flipped the lights on and shut the door. Even with the lights on, the room was still quite dark because of the black and red walls. But that is how Izuku wanted it. Considering that he only ever slept in here when exhausted from working in the lab or putting his body through brutal training, it was definitely ideal.
"So why are we here?" He asked.

"I just wanted you all to myself for a little bit." Eiji smiled, holding his hand out. Izuku linked their fingers together.
"I won't object to that." He was dragged over to the queen sized bed that dominated the middle of the room and they collapsed into it. He grabbed the small control on the bedside table, pushed a button and the lights dimmed to a warm glow. He pulled Eiji into his side and cuddled him. Now this, he could happily get used to. Arms wrapped around each other as they lay on top of the covers.
"So you wanted me all to yourself huh?" He whispered.
"Mm, yeah. I want to be greedy." Eiji moved a little to look at him and Izuku chuckled.

"You can be as greedy as you like with me love." He gently kissed the stunning red head, who let out a throaty groan. Izuku pushed him into the mattress and deepened the kiss. Their tongues twined and hands locked together. He shuffled until he was nestled between Eiji's legs, feeling that delicious body flush against his own. Eiji locked himself around his thighs, holding him in place. Izuku devoured his male, pretty much sucking the oxygen out of his lungs. When they had to separate due to lack of air, he let one of Eiji's hands go and cupped the side of his face, brushing his thumb gently over the smooth flesh. He just stared at him, utterly captivated. He was ravishing with his half lidded gaze, flushed cheeks and swollen lips.

"You're perfect." He whispered, in complete awe.
"You're the perfect one Izu." Kiri grinned at him and Izuku shook his head.
"Nope. I'm not. I have nasty scars too."
"Scars don't bother me babe. It shows that you survived to kick ass another day." Izuku sat back gently, after moving Eiji's legs to not squash them.
"You think so?"
"I know so." He sat up properly and took Izuku's hands into his own.
"Well, I got new ones from that mission I went on."
"Rhyki told us about that. To tell you the truth, I hated it."
"Why?"

"Because we didn't know if you were safe or anything. Honestly, it worried the hell out of me. I wanted to pretty much lock myself around you and keep you with me at all times."
"As incredible as that sounds, unfortunately you can't."
"I can dream though. I know you told us that you and Rhyki are already pros, but a few days ago when we were hanging out, she mentioned that you both work for the High Chairman of the World Hero Association, and you only take orders from him."
"Yeah, that's right. We've gone after some truly horrendous people that didn't deserve to live."
"You killed them?"
"Yes." He mumbled, looking down at their hands.

"Hey, it's alright. It won't make me leave you Izuku. I want to grow old with you." His head lifted and stared into those red eyes he adored. They held nothing but sincerity, adoration, honesty and something else that he wasn't entirely sure on. At least not yet anyway. One thing was for sure, it definitely wouldn't take him long to fall entirely in love with Eiji. He was already on his way there. Could anyone blame him though? You just have to look at the guy.
"I don't deserve you." He was in awe of this male.
"I could say the same about you, but there we go. You're stuck with me for life babe!" Eiji chuckled.

"I'm not complaining." Izuku grinned. His heart was close to bursting with the emotions he already felt for his incredible boyfriend. It definitely took a special someone to not be put off in knowing he'd killed before.
"Good. So, you say you got new scars, can I see?" Eiji asked, albeit hesitantly.
"Ok." Izuku undone his shirt and took it off, letting it drop to the floor. Eiji's eyes widened as he got his first proper look at the scars. Across the left shoulder and down to his left pectoral, as well as some just under his ribs was the evidence of his brutal fight against Lycania. He barely stopped the shudder as Eiji lightly traced the jagged scars.

"Still beautiful." Eiji whispered, before leaning forward and placed a delicate kiss to his pectoral, right over his heart. Izuku hoped he didn't feel that silly organ going ballistic at the moment.
"Mm." Was all he could reply, as he ran his fingers through the spiky hair.
"Izu?"
"Yes love?"
"This might sound a little weird, but can I take a photo with you?"
"Topless?" He couldn't resist asking with a smirk.

"Hell no. That's just for me to see." Izuku snorted as Eiji stuck his tongue out playfully. He leaned over and snagged his top from the floor. Once he'd put it on, Eiji got his phone from his pocket and Izuku moved, until he was settled behind his boyfriend, partially hiding his face in his shoulder. Eiji took the photo and showed him the result. It was a great shot of them. Eiji was smiling broadly while Izuku was peeking over his shoulder. He grabbed the phone and held it up to take another. Before he snapped the shot, he turned Eiji's face and kissed him. Once he took the shot, he focused more on his boyfriend's mouth, but before they could really get into it, his own mobile went off. Pulling back with a grumble, he got it out of his pocket. Before he unlocked it, he glanced at Eiji.
"Check your photos." Was all he said and then checked who had messaged him.

Rhyki: Izuku, we're all going for a nap. I've got Katsuki with me, while the other three are sharing a room per Mina's demand as she wants a cuddle sandwich. So, you two get a nap in as well. Set your alarm for two hours from now. See you when we wake up x

Izuku: Sounds good to me. Enjoy the nap x

Rhyki: Will do x

He set an alarm and put it on the bedside table. Eiji looked at him.
"Who was it?"
"Rhyki. They're all going for a two hour nap, which sounds like a good idea right about now." He let out a yawn, hiding it behind his hand.
"Then we'll have a nap." Eiji got off the bed and so did Izuku. They took their shoes off, then climbed in under the covers. Hauling his love up against him, they shuffled into a comfortable position. Settling down with Eiji's head partially on his bicep and shoulder, arm over his stomach and leg twisted with his, Izuku was comfortable. His own arm was curled down his back, with his hand over his hip. He placed a gentle kiss to Eiji's forehead, and his love tipped his head back.

"Proper kiss please."
"Of course." He wasn't going to argue and kissed him, resulting in Eiji nearly blinding him with a radiant smile. Holy shit Izuku had to protect that at all costs. Even at the expanse of his own black soul. He'd happily sell his soul to the devil to keep that smile on Eiji's face, within a heartbeat.
"Enjoy your nap Izu." Eiji whispered, putting his head back where it had been.
"And you as well love." He replied, closing his eyes. He heard Eiji's breathing settle into the slow and steady rhythm of deep sleep, cuddled close and quickly followed with a small smile on his face. Now this he could definitely get used to, in being wrapped around his warm boyfriend to sleep.
