Chapter 17 - Bakugou.

Bakugou sighed lightly as they got to town. He was walking in silence beside Rhyki, but it was comfortable. The other four though? They were utter fucking chaos. Laughing their heads off and being complete brats. Not that he was surprised though, that was just them being, well them. Thinking back when they'd left school, what exactly was floaty bitches' problem with him hugging Rhyki? Apart from the obvious jealously.

She had barely spoken to him, with nothing more than a Hi, and even then, he'd grunted and strode past with Kirishima, going to the cafeteria for food. Could it be that she thought of Rhyki as a threat? If that's the case, then he hoped that she had a plot picked out for her burial, because if she tried anything with him, it would be a toss-up between either him or Rhyki killing her first. He really didn't like the floaty bitch. There was just something about her that rubbed off wrong to him. He wasn't entirely sure what it was, but it was a gut feeling he had.

"Bakugou?" His thoughts stopped as he turned to Rhyki, who was looking at him.
"Yeah?"
"The others have just disappeared into a shop, want to come with me to one I want to go to?"
"Sure, let's go." She nodded and took him to the shop she wanted. As they walked in, the warm scent of vanilla, mixed with something else raced up his nose. It wasn't a horrible smell; it was quite calming actually. Music came from speakers in each corner of the vast space, heavy bass and hard drums with epic lyrics. He didn't object. It was catchy as fuck.

He looked around and realised it was a goth/rock type of place. A guy was behind the counter, and there was no mistaking he was a goth. Like at all. He looked up and stared at them from eyes a very pale blue they were almost white. Natural or contacts? He had horns on his head that curved back from his forehead to halfway across his scalp then titled upwards slightly. Black wings were folded against his spine. Demon/devil quirk? He wasn't full Japanese by looks of it either.
"Well, fuck me sideways and call me Shirley! If it isn't one of my favourite little psycho bitches!" He declared, walking over to them. Rhyki snorted and they knocked knuckles.

"Then I'm calling you Shirley! How you been Xenos?" Well that was certainly a different name.
"Good. What you after today?"
"Not sure just yet. Just having a hunt around. Oh, Xenos, this is my friend Bakugou. Bakugou, meet Xenos." Rhyki introduced them.
"Alright man?" Xenos grinned, revealing two sharp fangs and very pearly whites that stood out brightly against his black painted lips.
"Not bad."
"I'll leave you to browse. Oh, and Yōsei should be back in a few too."

"How is my favourite chaotic bitch?"
"Still as crazy as ever. Which suits her, as you know." They smirked at each other.
"True that." She turned to Bakugou and he looked at her.
"What is it?" He asked.
"You can help me pick out an outfit."
"Any particular reason why you want me of all people to help you?" He raised an eyebrow at her.
"Because I said so. Do I need a fucking reason?"

"Good point. Let's go then." She led him over to the other side of the shop that held an abundance of clothes in all shapes, styles and patterns. She went to one side, and he the other after she told him what size she was. Browsing through some tops, he actually saw some that he liked, so looked for his size and snagged them. They weren't expensive either, which made a nice change. Then he saw something he'd love to see Rhyki in. She had the perfect figure for it. He found her size, so grabbed it. Then searched for something to go with it.

He snuck a glance over his shoulder at her and she was flicking through some dresses. At least she was distracted for now. Bakugou found the perfect outfit for her, as well as boots, so snagged them. As he was passing some glass cabinets containing jewellery, one particular piece caught his eye. It was a gorgeous choker with a fire opal gem attached. He got Xenos's attention and he wandered over.
"What's up man?"
"Can I get that fire opal choker please?"

"Sure." He unlocked the cabinet and passed it over. It would look incredible on Rhyki and match her eyes perfectly. Once Xenos had closed the cabinet, Bakugou went to the counter to pay. Due to his parents well paid job, as well as he barely spent any of his allowance, or money he'd gotten for some odd jobs he'd done, he could splurge a little. And Rhyki was definitely worth it. Xenos started scanning the stuff before putting them into a black carrier bag for him before looking at him quick.
"So, got to ask, are you and Rhyki purely just friends?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Because it's only Izuku she ever comes in here with."

"Ah. And yeah, we're purely friends, although I'd like it to eventually be more."
"You like the firecracker?"
"Yep. And she knows it as well. I told her."
"Brave man."
"What makes you say that?"
"Rhyki is exactly that. A complete firecracker. She doesn't trust easy, but when she does, you know it. I can tell she trusts you, because she brought you here and didn't flinch away, or punch you when you touched her when you walked in."

"You noticed that?"
"I did. Good for you though man in not backing down. And I bow to you in admitting you like her."
"I wasn't going to lie to her about it. I don't like liars."
"Preach man. So how did you two meet?"
"We got to U.A together. We're in the same class."
"Hold on a fucking minute, you mean she actually has decided on joining a school?"
"Yeah, why is that such a surprise?"
"As far as I know, her and Izuku for that matter, do not do well in a huge crowd. They hate it."
"They wanted to try it out. Or at least, that's what she told me. How much, by the way?"

"£45."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive. When I started this place, I wasn't going to rip off my customers. I wanted fair, and reasonable prices." Xenos shrugged.
"Fair enough." Bakugou handed over the money, just as Rhyki joined them.
"What you buy?" She asked.
"Some stuff for me. And a surprise for you." He said with a grin.
"Why do I suddenly not like that grin?" She smirked.
"Bitch, you'll love what he brought you!" Xenos chimed in.

"Really?"
"Bitch, would I lie to you?"
"Yes!" Rhyki snorted.
"Fuck you! And I'm not this time." Xenos grinned at her, and she rolled her eyes. Bakugou took his receipt and shoved it into to the bag for safe keeping, then put his wallet away.
"Sure. Anyway, Bakugou, come with me a minute, would ya?" She turned back to him. He grabbed his purchases, which ended up going into two bags and followed her. Xenos just watched them with that grin still in place.

He followed Rhyki over to some shirts. She lifted up a blood red one and put it against him. He just stood there and let her do whatever it was she was doing. She nodded to herself. Should he be worried? Then she grabbed some black jeans and what looked like a waist coat in black. Where the hell would he wear that? She turned it around and showed him the back. His eyes dropped to it and he instantly loved it. It had a velvet back, but a dark grey dragon skull on the back with mouth open, showing teeth and it had the outline of fire around it, stitched in with red silk. It was fucking awesome!

"Yes, or no?" She asked.
"Fucking yes!"
"Try it on first, so we know it fits." He nodded, put his things on the floor at his feet and took his hoodie off. He didn't wear the school blazer, as he didn't like it. He shrugged into the waist coat, and it fitted him perfectly. He glanced at himself in the mirror hanging on the wall and even he was impressed. It fucking rocked. He turned back to Rhyki, and she was staring at him wide eyed.
"What is it?" He questioned.

"Nothing." She whirled around, but he saw that the tips of her ears were red. He smirked, before reaching out and yanked her back against him. His arms looped around her waist and he put his lips against her ear.
"Tell me the truth. Don't go getting shy on me now." He muttered and felt her shudder slightly. He kissed the shell of her ear, purely because he couldn't help it. She turned in his arms.
"Fine, you look really fucking hot in that." She admitted.
"Then I'll buy it." He let her go and stepped back, taking it off.

"I'm buying you it! It'll go with what I've got you. No arguments!" She snatched it from his hands, and he chuckled.
"I know better than to argue." Rhyki turned away and he took his chance. He leaned forward and kissed her cheek. Her head snapped around so quick that he was surprised she didn't get whiplash.
"What did you do that for?" She grumbled.
"Because I could, and I felt like it." He shrugged. She rolled her eyes before grabbing something else, then went to the shoes. He put his hoodie back on, grabbed his belongings and followed her. Bakugou waited patiently for her to find whatever it was she was looking for, just as his phone went off. Pulling it from his pocket, it was a text from Kirishima.

Kirishima: Bro, where are you and Rhyki? We came out of the shop expecting to see you both waiting for us, but nope. You didn't get kidnapped, did you?

Bakugou: What the fuck?! No, we didn't get kidnapped you fucking idiot. We're in a shop a couple doors down from where you fuckers are. We'll be out in a few. Just wait for us and you'll see us when we're fucking done moron.

Kirishima: Phew. That's a relief. And got it!

Bakugou put his phone away, and realised Rhyki was now at the checkout. That was bloody quick. And what the hell was with Kirishima? Thinking they'd been kidnapped? Did he not realise who he was with? Who the hell would be able to kidnap Rhyki? She was a dragon for fuck sake! He sighed before going over to Rhyki, who was just paying for her things.
"Everything ok?" She asked, glancing at him quick.
"Yeah, just Kirishima. The fucking idiots all had a panic, thinking we'd been kidnapped or some shit because they couldn't see us." He grunted.

"Morons. Well I'm sorted now, let's go back to our idiots."
"Sure."
"See you soon Xenos. And let Yōsei know I'll see her next time if she's here." Rhyki said.
"I will do. Take it easy, both of you." He grinned as he handed Rhyki her receipt.
"Always. Laters Shirley!" They fist bumped.
"Laters firecracker. Nice to meet you Bakugou." He also knocked knuckles with the guy.
"You too." Rhyki gathered her stuff, and they left the shop.
"There you are!" Mina squealed as she caught sight of them.

"Here we are. See, not fucking kidnapped." Rhyki snorted as Mina grabbed her for a hug. Only the Ragtags were allowed to openly hug/touch her and Izuku now. Anyone else tried, they nearly got ripped in half. One person had learned that the hard way. A third year had tried chatting Rhyki up, didn't end well. He'd been face planted into the floor of the canteen faster than you could blink, and he had a bust nose too. It was impressive the speed she'd moved at. Izuku had just laughed and got her up. They'd walked to what was now known as the Ragtags table, all without a backwards glance.
"Ok, next shop!" Mina dragged Rhyki along the street, and the lads trailed along behind them. Bakugou noticed that Kirishima kept on glancing at him.

"What is it?" He questioned the red head.
"How was it shopping with Rhyki on your own?" He grinned at him, shark teeth on full display.
"It was great actually." He admitted.
"Bro, you really have it bad for her, don't you?" Kirishima whispered. They held back a little bit from the others and Bakugou looked at him.
"Yeah, I do. And she knows it. But we're taking it slow. No need to rush into anything right now."
"You sound disappointed in that."

"Yeah, a little. I'd love to fucking call her mine. But I can understand where she is coming from in wanting to wait a little bit."
"Fair enough. What about Uraraka?"
"What about the floaty bitch?"
"Even I noticed how she is towards you bro. Always looking at you with a lovestruck look in her eyes. But when Rhyki is near you, it turns into blinding hatred."
"Because floaty bitch likes me. And doesn't like the fact that me and Rhyki are close."
"So she's really jealous of the way that you and Rhyki are with each other?"

"Exactly."
"That's not cool at all man. Think she'll try anything?"
"Honestly? I have no fucking idea. I don't even know why floaty bitch is like that with me. I've never even spoken to her."
"Pass. I can't answer that. So enough about her. Do you think you'll talk to Rhyki more about you two ending up together?" He questioned instead.
"I will eventually. I don't want to talk about it today with her. I'd rather keep her occupied and get her mind off what's happened with Izuku." And it was true, if they could give Rhyki a few hours or so not thinking about it, then he was all for it. She'd looked so sad, yet angry earlier when she'd gotten that text. And the fact that Izuku was going off alone, to hunt down a high ranking villain truly showed the strength and ability of the guy.

Even some lower ranking villains could be crafty bastards, resorting in low tricks and shit to try and get the upper hand. Who knows what the sort of ability the higher ones could get? He knew some could be monstrous, he'd seen it from people's video's they'd uploaded of fights, and a fair few hadn't been pretty at all.
"I get that. Anyway, let's catch up, otherwise we'll lose them!" Kirishima said, snapping him from his thoughts. He looked ahead and the others were a little distance a head of them, so they hurried to catch up. And just in time as they stopped outside a small café.

"Anyone want a drink?" Mina asked, looking over her shoulder at them.
"Nope." Bakugou answered. He wasn't thirsty or hungry, so had no need of going in.
"I do." The others said, apart from Rhyki, who just shook her head no.
"We'll wait here." She stated.
"Got it." They all went in and he and Rhyki leaned against the railing to wait. Rhyki let out a sigh and rolled her shoulders. Their bags rested between them. There was no need to hold them while they waited for the Ragtags to get their drinks.

"You alright?" He asked.
"Yeah. Mina just tried chatting my ear off. Reckon she has an off switch?"
"Only when she's asleep I reckon."
"Fuck." They chuckled at that.
"That bad was it?"
"Nah, not really. Kind of gotten used to her being like that now." She shrugged.
"I know what you mean. Me and Kirishima met her when we were twelve. She's still the same chatterbox as she was back then."

"Are you serious?" She turned wide eyes to him.
"Yep. She's always been like that. Even her parents admitted it to us the first time we were invited round for a BBQ to celebrate her thirteenth birthday."
"Her parents need an award or some shit for dealing with her endless chatter daily."
"True!" He grinned at her before pulling her into a hug. He couldn't help it. And the best part, she didn't pull away! She just collapsed into his side.

They stayed like that, for about a minute, when they heard a squeal and glanced at the café. Mina was in the doorway, staring with a huge grin.
"Group hug!" She rushed forward, and settled against Rhyki, who just looped her arm around the smaller girl's shoulders. The other guys joined in with happy smiles. Not even thirty seconds later, Rhyki pushed Mina off her.
"Ok, that's enough fuckers. Let's fucking get going." They stepped back and as they were about to grab their things to carry on with their little stroll around the town, a high-pitched, fear-laced scream came from across the road.
