01| Heartbreak And Blonde Mess

♡♡♡

She was jealous, and she admitted it.

The busy afternoon in New York City was buzzing with the new movie coming up starring Camilla Clayton and Jason Bradley, two very popular celebrities.

On the streets, in the cafes, in the high-rise offices, in mansions, everywhere in New York, people had their eyes on their phones, reading the entertainment news which was talking about the hottest new movie coming up.

Everyone was excited yes... that's except poor Quinn Manchester who was seated in a cafe. Her perfectly manicured fingers were clutching the hot cup of coffee on the table, her nails which were painted in the color of ballet slippers matched the color of the cup, her puppy brown eyes protected by Gucci sunglasses, her curly black hair and bangs were hidden with a big brown hat.

She is every man's dream woman but right now she has to cover up all her beauty to save herself from getting mobbed by her fans and paparazzi. Don't get her wrong she loves her fans but she detests the scary stalkers. That's the one thing Quinn hates that comes along with being a celebrity, the stalkers.

She has had her share of crazy fans, the worst was a fan who stood in her room waiting for her to wake up with a board that said YOU'RE MY WORLD written in bold, Quinn almost had a heart attack when she saw the girl. It took a lot of convincing to stop her from suing the manager of the penthouse she lives at.

Quinn shook her head, shaking away her thoughts as someone increased the volume of the television.

"It is said that these two would be perfect for the movie 'Romance on board' fans are going crazy all over social media saying that it would be the movie of the year."

Just as the woman on the television finished her article a loud splash! Was heard as Quinn squeezed the cup of coffee in her hand making it splash out.

"Ahhhhh, that hurt," she groaned immediately she did it making her earn glances from other customers.

"Seriously, just because Camilla got the lead role and not you, doesn't mean it's the end of the world," her best friend, McKenna Davis pointed out, using a napkin to clean Quinn's hands.

A worker came and mopped the coffee on the floor.

"But this movie would be the next a star is born and Camilla got to be the main character, and worse of all she just had to have Jason the one guy I consider normal," Quinn ranted, hitting her neutral-colored nails on the table.

"Come on at least you got a role as her sister," Kenna said, reapplying her lipgloss. She closed her lipgloss and kept it in her bag as Quinn sneered.

"I'll take it," Quinn groaned.

Kenna nodded with a smirk on her face as they both fist bumped.

At the other side of the cafe away from the chattering and laughing of the two best friends, who were roughly 26 years old sat a very handsome hunk and a blond girl.

The girl suddenly stood up and splashed the cup of water on the hunk's face. "I heard you do this a lot but I thought we had something," she cried dropping the glass cup on the table with a loud bang!

"Shut up Ace," she cut him off as he was about to talk. He nodded, closing his mouth.

"Ok, so it's over like this?" She scoffed, rage spreading like a current through her body.

She held back her tears and shook her head. "You'll regret doing this to me," she spat grabbing her purse and storming out.

She suddenly stopped, she remembered something and turned to him with a smirk on her face.

"I just remembered," she smirked flipping her hair over her shoulder and crossing her hands over her chest.

She had a model body, highlighted blond hair, and captivating emerald eyes which glistered when she got mad.

Ace instantly smiled and looked up. "You did, what?" He asked, his sea-blue eye widen in anticipation as he grinned. That's the smile that got all the women tripping for him.

She smiled showing her perfectly flossed and whitened teeth, and pointed at a red car through the glass wall, "That-" she smirked, "I got you that for our fifty-day anniversary last week because you crashed your car."

"I didn't ask you for it," Ace deadpanned and she scoffed unbelievably, "You gave me saying we would both use it to make our bond stronger, you made me pick you up every morning and drop you back because you sold your car and we both had to use the new car. I just agreed so you'll stop whining."

She glared at Ace shooting him lasers with her eyes.

And the next thing you know the blonde is driving off in a Mercedes Benz while waving her hands out the window at her ex, who sighed and wiggled water out of his hair.

"Ahhh, that's my third car this year," he groaned taking out his phone and dialing his grandfather's secretary's number. He decided to let her take the Car because she refused to drive together with him, Girls.

It rang once and the secretary immediately answered.

"No, I didn't let my ex take my car again," Ace chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck nervously at the secretary's assumption.

"Yes, I'm at_"

"I know where you are, that's where you break up with all your girlfriends," the secretary said ending the call.

"I'll wait for you," Ace smiled then realized that the call had ended.

Not like I have any other choice he said to himself, the cooperate heir to Winston's company standing at the door of a cafe.

"Yep, it's totally normal," he said keeping his hands in the pocket of his coat.

He moved away when two girls came out of the cafe one wearing a large hat and Gucci sunglasses and the other wearing Chanel sunglasses.

"Excuse me?"

Ace turned to the person who called him and saw the two girls in front of him.

"Me?" He asked pointing at himself and she nodded.

"Are you Ace, Ace Winston?" She asked removing her Chanel sunglasses and flipping her hair over her shoulder.

That's the sign she's flirting Quinn said to herself, shaking her head.

And at the same time, Ace said to himself, see what happens when you leave Ace Winston standing at the door of a cafe?

"Yes, that's me," he said chuckling.

"Oh! What a surprise," Kenna exclaimed, dramatically clasping her hands. "I didn't expect to see someone like Ace here," She laughed and Quinn grabbed her hand.

"Let's go before I vomit in my mouth,"Quinn said, emphasizing every word.

Quinn and McKenna have been best friends since they could fart and it stayed that way, but sometimes they were totally different. Quinn would like to stay in her cozy apartment sleeping while it poured outside or watch a good action movie, comedy whatever her heart desires, that's when she had free time away from shooting a movie. While Kenna would prefer to go to a party or on a blind date whenever she wasn't in the office.

"Yes, darling I know he's cute," Kenna said tapping Quinn's hand, Quinn scoffed at her best friend's flirting skills.

Ace simply stood there smiling sheepishly.

"McKenna Davis get your ass into the car now," Quinn commanded losing it, making Ace turn to her with a sly smile on his face.

"Cool your bones, your hot friend over here wants to be friends with a hunk like me it's not time to get jealous," Ace chuckled making Kenna stunned.

He called me hot, he called me hot, Ace Winston called me hot, McKenna said over and over in her head literally seeing her and Ace walking down the aisle.

Quinn slowly turned to the rude-ass stranger who just called her jealous. She stopped her head at his gaze.

Kenna noticed and began to drag Quinn into the car. "Maybe we should leave bye Ace Win_"

She was shut up as Quinn raised a finger to shush her with her gaze still fixed on Ace.

"Me, you expect me to be jealous?" Quinn began, moving closer to Ace making him step back.

"I'm supposed to be jealous of a guy who I'm sure his girlfriend just splashed a cup of water on him for dumping her?" Quinn asked, raising an eyebrow even though he couldn't see it.

Ace looked at her shocked as his eyes widen. "How did you?.... are you a spy, a reporter?" He asked, moving back warily.

Quinn scoffed taking her glasses off. "How dare you, blonde mess," she yelled about to attack him as she let out a roar.

Ace's eye widens more as he screamed seeing Quinn roaring. He was beyond terrified, he had never seen a girl roar so loud.

"Stop!" Kenna suddenly yelled making Ace and Quinn stop yelling and turning to her.

They both suddenly came back to their sense when they looked at each other. Ace adjusted his coat and cleared his throat as Quinn also cleared her throat and wore her sunglasses back.

"Kenna if you're done I would love to leave," Quinn said not waiting for an answer, entering into the car and slamming the door shut.

Kenna squeezed her eyes at her best friend's behavior and turned back to the hottie.

She chuckled and he nervously did the same, "So can I call someone on your phone mine is-" she brought out her phone waving it in the air. "kinda broken."

Senorita by Camilla Cambello and Shawn Mendels suddenly started booming from the phone in Kenna's hand.

Kenna's eye widens and Ace chuckled. "I think that's your phone," he said.

Kenna shook her head. "Nope, it's not. It's spoilt why would it be ringing. I mean I wouldn't have lied so that I would put my number on your phone," she chortled and Ace nodded smiling.

The phone stopped ringing and Kenna sighed. Finally.

In the car, Quinn sat on the red leather seat and threw her phone on the seat beside her.

"Kenna! why won't you pick up?" She groaned shaking her head. She prefers to call Kenna on the phone rather than having to lower the glass and face Ace Winston.

"I'll just get going now," Kenna finally said, giving Ace back his phone and Ace nodded then he heard a horn.

"That's my ride," he smiled, Keena almost melted into pudding right there.

"So, see you around," Kenna flirted going into the car as a man in his late thirties, who wore a corporate black suit came from Ace's ride and started walking towards them.

"You got another girlfriend?" His grandfather's secretary asked as he got to Ace.

Ace sneered. "Am I really that handsome?" He asked sarcastically.

According to Ace Carl is someone who must have everything in order, even his brown hair color and hazel eyes matched.

He had been working for Ace's grandfather since Ace was a kid so Carl knows all their family secrets. As Ace's grandfather says every successful business has loads of secrets.

Ace sighed sitting on the black leather in the car. The vehicle began moving once Carl wore his seatbelt.

"Your aunt and grandfather have something to tell you," Carl said breaking the silence.

"Why does grandfather have to come?" Ace asked with a now serious voice.

Carl sighed. "It's important." That was all he said. He knew how Ace felt about his grandfather.

Ace let out a hollow laugh getting more comfortable as they drove to his grandfather's house.
