Here with me by D4vd
"As long as I'm with you
I've got a smile on my face
Save your tears, it'll be okay
All I know is you're here with me"

When she returned, she returned a shell of the girl she left as.

Her hair was longer and untamed. Her eyes looked dull, and her skin was paler. When she let the occasional smile out, she didn't show her teeth.

Her famous giggle was barely heard, and the twinkle in her eyes were gone.

But her being back was all that mattered to Aemond.

She returned in the evening, right before the sun began to set. She returned on dragonback. Though the dragon looked unfamiliar, the smirk on her face as she got off proved it was the dragon she had always talked about.

Silverwing was certainly as beautiful as the books said.

Though Alysanne was far more beautiful to him.

Having her away felt like the seven hells to him, so he wouldn't take having her back for granted.

When she landed, she was met with all the members of the family there. They must have been informed of the unfamiliar dragon.

"Welcome back, Alysanne." The King said to her with a small smile. He stood leaning against the carriage. She was surprised he had come along.

"Thank you, Your Grace. It is an honor to be home," she says with a small smile. That was all it took for the Queen to break her facade.

"Oh my dear," Alicent says as she rushes towards the young girl. Immediately, she wrapped her arms around the girl as she smoothed down her hair. She held the princess for a good minute before retracting and giving her a kiss against the head. "I have missed you dearly."

"And I have missed you, Mother." Alysanne said with a smile that actually reached her eyes. Alicent then stepped back and turned to her children giving them a nod.

"Welcome back, sister," Heleana said with a small smile. When they had a moment alone, the girls would certainly share an embrace, but there were too many people around.

"It was dreadful without your company, Alys. So we are glad to have you back. Congratulations on the new ride," Aegon says with a small smirk walking towards her and looking at the dragon behind her who let out a huff.

"Thank you, Aegon. I seem to have missed your unpleasant nagging as well," she says with a matching smirk. He let out a chuckle before embracing the younger girl, who immediately hugged back. Instead of giving her a kiss like his mother had done, he simply shoved her head to the side as a brother would.

The only person left now was Aemond. He stood staring at her as the other members started filling into the carriage. Alysanne glanced at the one carriage leaving with the King and Queen. The other carriage stood waiting for the remaining two children.

"I have missed you, Aemond. I longed to return to you from the second you left," Alysanne told him as she finally looked at him. He had a bandage wrapped over his eye, and he was staring at the ground.

"Then why didn't you?" He muttered, looking up at her. She could tell he was hurt.

Instead of answering, she turned to the beast behind her. She gently placed her hand on its scales as it bows its head down towards her.

"Meet Silwerwing," Alysanne said with a genuine smile as she heard Aemond come closer. She turned towards him, holding out her hand. Without question, he let her guide him towards the beast. He barely paid attention to the beast as he looked at Alys, who had a big grin on her face.

She looked like Alys again. With her big grin and that twinkle in her eyes.

Alys looked towards him as she felt his gaze.

"I'm glad you're back, Lyssa," Aemond says with a smile. She wrapped her arms around him, and the two stayed in the embrace for a few seconds.

Alys pulled away from him before patting her dragon one last time.

"Thank you, my beautiful beast. Enjoy your new home," she says to Silverwing in High Valyrian. She then motioned towards the Dragonkeepers to take her away.

The two kids stood side by side watching the dragon get taken to the pits.

"So, how has Vhagar been?" Alysanne asked her best friend.

"I have not been allowed to ride him. They treat me like a crippled person now." He answers with a huff, referring to his lost eye.

"Well, are you not," she teased as he shoved her. "Sorry, sorry. But that means we can both enjoy our first real ride together."

"That sounds like a great idea," Aemond says. "But you have to convince Mother."

"You better start getting in the damn carriage, or you're walking," Aegon yelled at them impatiently.

"It's good to be home," Alysanne chuckled as they walked towards the carriage.

"I want to hear all about your adventures with our best friends on Dragonstone," Aegon teases as she gets in. This earned a scoff from Aemond and an eyeroll from Alys.
