Fan x Test Tube (II)

And now we open with another round of musings: Fantube! This one was requested by Kenzie_762 -- keep doing what you do, friend!

Rating out of 100: 76/100

Do I ship this?: Quite a bit.

Why do I/don't I ship this?: I like this ship. It's kind of bland, hence its lower rating, but in the hands of the right author I think it could be really interesting!

Is this my favorite ship for one/both of the characters?: Yep, although I do ship them with a few others who come close.

====

Thoughts on the ship name: Very self-explanatory, simple name. No real missed opportunities.

My favorite story involving these two: I actually have two favorites! Chemical Bond by meowchela55 for emphasizing the awkwardness aspect of the relationship. Precious!

Things I enjoy in art/stories about them: Definitely the fact that both of them are usually treated as being awkward and nervous, but eager to please. Very cute and accurate!

Things I wish I saw more of in art/stories about them: The problems and perks that come of being two introverts in a relationship. They'd both probably get so deep into their own activities that they wouldn't do a ton of communication (or, at least, they'd have some problems now and then), but the ones they did do would be great because they'd really be on the same page.

Five headcanons about them:

Fan and Test Tube really wouldn't go on that many dates, or even talk that much compared to other couples. They'd be content just to sit together and do their own type of thing.

Fan wouldn't naturally be great at science, but he'd try his best to learn so he could better relate to Test Tube.

If Fan has any theories he wants to validify, he asks for Test Tube's help; she's awesome at finding evidence.

Test Tube plans all of the most romantic dates, but if Fan even gets her a rose, she'd be pretty flustered over it.

If either one of them was ever nervous about something, be it a date, confessing in the first place, or anything else, Lightbulb would be their biggest fan. She'd practically force them to spit out whatever they want to share.

A story I'd write about them, if I had the time/interest:

A Captain's Duty, in which Fan and Test Tube both clearly have feelings for one another, but neither would want to admit it to the other. However, when Lightbulb takes it upon herself to get the lovebirds together by slipping a certain chemistry-related pickup line about copper and tellurium into Test Tube's notes and claiming it was from Fan, things go awry as neither nerd has any idea how to deal with a relationship.

Lightbulb figures, hey, she got them together once... it's part of her duty as a bright team captain to get them to talk to each other again, right?

The holiday that best reflects this ship, and why: Pi Day, March 14th, because it's also Albert Einstein's birthday.

Where do they end up in life?: I feel like they'd head to some remote forest in Borneo to research something together, like one of those husband-wife nature trekker duos.
