Muffins

Seungmin woke up to the sound of the birds chirping outside his window, the bright sunlight streaming through the curtains. He yawned and stretched, the soft sheets rustling beneath his fingers as he rolled over, blinking sleepily. It was a Sunday morning, and he had the whole day to himself. With a contented sigh, he sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

He glanced over at the alarm clock on his nightstand, noting that he had plenty of time to make himself some breakfast before Hyunjin woke up. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and padded barefoot into the kitchen, still in his sleepwear - a worn-out t-shirt and soft, cozy sweatpants. The aroma of coffee brewing filled the air, making his mouth water.

As he waited for the coffee to finish, he pulled out a bowl and some ingredients from the cupboard, determined to make some of his famous chocolate chip muffins(let's pretend he won't burn the building). He worked quickly, measuring and mixing the batter, his movements fluid and efficient. The kitchen filled with the warm, sweet scent of baking, making him feel happy and content.

Meanwhile, in the bedroom, Hyunjin stirred beneath the sheets, the gentle sound of his soft breathing filling the air. His eyelids fluttered open, and he blinked sleepily at the ceiling above him. The delicious aroma of muffins drifting through the air made his stomach rumble. He sat up slowly, stretching out his arms and yawning loudly.

As he tossed aside the blankets and swung his legs over the side of the bed, he noticed Seungmin's clothes on the floor and the telltale signs that someone had been in the kitchen. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he padded barefoot down the hallway, the sweet scent of chocolate chip muffins leading him like a beacon. He stopped short in the doorway, taking in the sight of Seungmin staring at the oven, his back to him, fully concentrating on them so they were cooked to perfecion.

"Seungmin, these smell amazing!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement. "You didn't have to make breakfast for both of us, you know."

Seungmin glanced over his shoulder, a blush rising to his cheeks. "I wanted to," he replied shyly, avoiding eye contact. "I figured you'd be hungry when you woke up."

Hyunjin stepped further into the kitchen, reaching out to pull Seungmin into a warm hug. "Thank you," he whispered, resting his chin on Seungmin's shoulder. "You're the best." And with that, the two of them stood together, enjoying the cozy warmth of their embrace and the delicious aroma of homemade muffins wafting around them.
