My eyes snapped open immediately, in shock. I couldn't move a muscle.

Flashing me a small smile, he patted my hair and before I knew it, he zoomed off and left me dazed.

Did he. . . Did he just kiss my forehead?

I touched my forehead, every area of my face to make sure I wasn't daydreaming. And luckily, I wasn't!

Oh my... I can't believe this... What I've always wanted is coming true.

I finally regained my composure and skipped happily to my class to get today done with a smile taking over my lips. Today is different from any other days, like now, daddy had packed my lunch bag with food. Anytime I think of it, I always smile. I mean he is acting so different from before and I'm happy that he already now thinks about me. I'm happy that he has changed, like how Megan's parents love her and always give her a bye kiss all the time. I envy her alot but she's my bestie... She has what I don't.

Point of correction, she has what I didn't have before.
And now, I'm going to have it.

"Megan!" I giggled and hugged her from behind. I heard a gasp when she held my hand with one hand and the other on my face like she couldn't believe she was seeing me now.

She knew it was me,"oh my God, Royalty, you're back!" With a squeal leaving her mouth at the end, she gave me another hug, another tight one.

"And I'm okay now, see." She then smiled at me and pinned me to the chair.

"We missed you Royalty."

Okay maybe, miss Michelle... Um Gloria, Dani and some of my classmates.
I didn't ask her though, I already guessed the 'We'.

"You have no idea how much I missed you, miss Michelle and your sandwich!" I laughed at my last word. I haven't tasted it since the incident and I really missed the taste. I even dreamt Megan gave me many of it and I can't describe how great it is, can I?

"Speaking of sandwiches..." She leans close to me, covering each of my cheeks with her palms, she whispers in my ear, "I got many."

I almost screamed in delight but I didn't want to disrupt the lesson going on because this is my first day. We're even lucky Miss Michelle hasn't caught us talking yet.

"I'm keeping it for daddy." I squealed as soon as Megan dropped it on my table.

When it was break time, I told her that she doesn't have to bring many sandwiches for me because my daddy always fills my bag with food.

"Royalty." I heard her whisper, I turned to her then she said,"Elroy." While pointing her forefinger behind me and before I even had the time to look back, I heard a scream.

"Royalty." I waved back at him, "it's been sooooo long."

I chuckle at his cuteness.

"Yeah, it's been so long and I won't be able to bear with you anymore if you keep on asking about Royalty." Megan sassed, boring holes at Elroy.

I confusedly watched between her and Elroy who had his eyes buried under his palms.

"Megan, you promised not to say it." He whines, earning a chuckle from me while they continue their argument.

"I didn't even promise, you see. I only said I wasn't going to tell her, and before you start putting the blame on me, it just slipped."

"But you still told her." He folds his arm on his chest and poked out his lower lip. I can't fix my gaze on anything else but that pout, can this boy not get any more cute? I shook away that thought. What is wrong with me?

Elroy is

He puts his palm over Megan's mouth who laughs at him."He even nicknamed you."

I mentally squealed at that. He nicknamed me... Can this day get any better?

"You know what, I'm leaving." He blocked his ears and walked away but not before saying to me,"I'll see you later, Roy."

"Aww." Megan cupped her cheeks without fighting the grin on her face." He even called you by your nickname."

I shouted in my mind, being over excited can make you do anything.

Megan continued,"The cutest thing is that your nickname is the last three letters of his name."

My smile grew bigger and wider in realization. And also, the first three letters of my name are also the ending of his name.
