A New Friend?

I looked up from my schedule to see who was knocking on my door. Due to the incandescent sun I only caught the silhouette of the person behind the glass. However, it was far too curvy to belong to a man and its hair was far too long. It was surely a woman's. At first I thought it was Mary, but as soon as I got closer I was proven wrong. Unlike her, this one was shorter and with long blond hair. She wore the typical doctor's white coat with black dressing pants and creme orthopaedic shoes.

I opened the door and invited her in but she just took a step back and politely rejected me. She was at least one head shorter than me, but still had this superior aura coming from her. I reminded myself never to mess with her.

"You're the new one right? I'm Kirstin, head of the Surgical Department but you can call me Kirstie" She extended her arm for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Scott. The new Psychologist"

"Well Scott, if you ever need someone to talk to or just hang out my office is to the left" She smiled and then... Winked?

"Are you sure you don't want to come in?" My mother taught me well and leaving a lady standing on the door frame was not the way you treat them.

"Oh no, it's okay. I still have some work to do but i'll catch you up in lunch maybe?"

"Yeah sure, see you there" I smiled at her one last time and closed the door behind me. She seemed nice, besides i was going to need someone to talk to and joke around and something told me that Mary wasn't that type of girl.

Shaking my head I went to sit at my desk once again and started doing some paper work. I couldn't believe that today I was going to finally meet Mitchell Grassi. Years of research and still no one knows what's going on with his brain. I wonder how he looks like...

I was snapped back to reality when my clock indicated that it was time for lunch. Great because this girl is STARVING. I picked up the hospital's map and made a mental note on where it was. Out of your office to the left - then left again - continue until you reach the end of the hallway - take the elevator to the 1st floor - go out and walk for another 30 metres and voila. There was one word to perfectly describe the place: Crowded. The room was flooding with waves of people, from specialists to patients all anxious to get their meal of the day. The queue was interminable, it reached the end of the room almost touching the far wall. I made another note to myself to come here a little bit earlier. I placed myself at the end of the line and luckily it advanced pretty fast, in no time I was with my food in hand looking for a place to sit. A small hand waved at me from behind a group of patients, it was Kirstie.

I sat down in front of her, beside us a pair of doctors flopped down and sat next to us. Kirstie informed me that they were medicine students that came here to gain experience, the one next to her was called Alex, he had blond hair just like me and a sharp jaw. He was handsome. The one who was next to me was called Kevin, he had darker skin and seemed to be completely into a conversation with this Alex.

"Are you excited for your first meeting with Mitch?" Kirstie asked, leaning forward and placing her arms over the table.

"Yes, I am. Do you know him?" I asked before taking one bite of my sandwich.

"Well... I'm his private Surgeon. Not that he's put into surgery that often but they believe I'm the most capable for this job" She held her head high, proud of herself. "But he's not that talkative, he barely tells me anything"

"Does he remember you?" Maybe he doesn't talk to her because he doesn't remember her.

"Actually... Yes" Oh okay, I wasn't expecting that. "He carries this diary wherever he goes, most of the time he's writing stuff in it. I believe he has something written about me"

"Oh to keep track of what happens, that's brilliant" Kirstie raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. I kept eating my sandwich.

"You're such an interesting Mr. Hoying. I have high hopes for you" That took me by surprise, I barely know her to be honest. I accepted the compliment anyways.

"Thank you" I looked around and noticed that most of the staff and patients left or were leaving. I watched as the the clock on the wall pointed 13:50, shit Iwas going to be late for my fist session! I stood up immediately, said my goodbyes to Kirstie and the other guys and left for my office.

It didn't took me much time to find it, in fact it gave me enough to organise everything before his arriving. I tapped the surface of my desk repeatedly out of a nervous habit, a million questions came to my mind but I forced them down. I had to look calm and professional. Put your shit together Scott!

I didn't know what I was expecting really. I thought of him as a short, chubby guy with laid-back personality. I imagined him curious and eager to learn things as he practically forgets everything the next day... But I wasn't expecting this. I was definitely not expecting a fucking god stepping inside my office. He walked graciously but snobby, almost as if he was the king of the world. He had dark brown hair styled to the left and a pair of brown eyes that could either destroy you or take all your clothe with just one look. He sat on the chair in front of my desk and when he looked at me he smirked.
The members of staff that brought him to me left so I was alone now. Alone with Mitchell Grassi. We stared at each other, analysing everything. After a couple of minutes he was the first one to talk.

"So...What's the plan for today Doc?"
