(Serena POV)

I arrived at professor Sycamore along with Clemont and Bonnie eager to get my first Pokémon. Bonnie said nothing the entire way there. She was just staring at me in an in amazement for some reason. She was probably admiring my good looks (which flatters me)and how she was disappointed that I'm not going to take care of her brother (whatever that mean)?

"Here we are professor Sycamore's Pokémon Research lab", said Clemont.

"Yes finally I can what to get my first Pokémon", I said.

We walked into the lab and we were standing in a big open room. There was bookshelves everywhere, blue carpet with a red rug, and a staircase in the middle of the room towards the back. A couple seconds later a scientist walked and introduced herself to us.

"Hello my name is Sophie, I'm one of the researchers here and help professor Sycamore with all his research, how can I help you"?. She said.

"Hello My name is Serena and I'm here to be a Pokémon trainer", I said with some enthusiasm.

"A new trainer? How great one moment please", she said then turned to exit.

"So what Pokémon are you going to get"? Bonnie asked.

"You'll see just you wait"

"AWWWW... I want to know now" Bonnie said while moaning.

"Bonnie be nice, she just wants it to be a surprise", Clemont said.

"By the way Clemont you never told me why you wanted to see professor Sycamore"

"Well... I heard that he was researching this thing called Mega Evolution, which sounds very interesting, and I wanted to learn from him what knows about it", Clemont explained to me.

"Mega Evolution that does sound interesting"

"IT IS", a voice said. Just then we all turned around and see a man in a lab coat that I presume is professor Sycamore. Right at is feet are 3 different Pokémon which I also presume are the 3 starter Pokémon. 

"So you must be Serena it's a pleasure to meet you", the professor said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too", I said to him then he looked over to Clemont.

"By the way are you happen to be Ash", He said looking at Clemont

"Ash?", I thought to myself. That name is so... familiar. I know I heard that name before but where?

"WHO ME? No no... my name is Clemont", Clemont said.

"And I'm Bonnie ", Bonnie said.

"Oh I'm sorry Clemont you see I'm expecting to see a trainer today that came all the way from Kanto region, my good friend, professor Oak, told me a lot about him". He explained.

"Kanto, I remember that place, that's where I went to camp and met that....wait could he be talking about who I think it is". I thought to myself with high hopes.

"Oh that ok professor", Clemont said.

"So anyways Serena would you like to choose your Pokémon now?" ,The professor said to me and snapped me out of my thought.

"Oh yes please"

"Good here you can use this to help you choose", He said handing me a pokedex. " Go ahead try it out"

I hold it up to one if the Pokémon and it read.

Froakie the frog Pkemon, It protects its skin by covering its body in delicate bubbles. Beneath its happy-go-lucky air, it keeps a watchful eye on its surroundings.

Then the next one.

Fennekin the fox , As it walks, it munches on a twig in place of a snack. It intimidates opponents by puffing hot air out of its ears.

And the last Pokémon.

Chespin, the Spiny Nut Pokémon, Such a thick shell of wood covers its head and back that even a direct hit from a truck wouldn't faze it.

"Awww there all so cute", Bonnie said kneeling down, starring the three Pokémon.

"Wow they all are cut, but I already made my choice back at my house", I said kneeling down in front of Fennekin.

"Hi Fennekin my name is Serena how would you like to come with me", I asked the fox Pokémon.

"Fen", I said happily as it jumped into my arms.

"Fennekin I see good choice I can tell you two will make a great team", professor Sycamore said. "Here's your Pokeballs and with that I wish you luck".

"Thanks but while I'm here, could you tell me about Mega Evolution?", I asked him.

"Yes I would also like to learn about it", Clemont said.

"Of course please follow me", He said as we followed him into another room. Clemont, Bonnie, and I sat on a couch while professor Sycamore sat on another couch across from us. Sophie was nice enough to bring us all some tea while professor Sycamore was explaining Mega Evolution to us.

"You see it can only happen when trainer and Pokémon has a strong bond with their pokemon. Also there are two special stones that both trainer and Pokémon hold in order to undergo mega evolution".

"So can any pokemon mega evolve"?, Clemont asked.

"I'm afraid not, only a certain of Pokémon that can undergo mega evolution. I actually have a Pokémon that I believe is capable of mega evolving. Would you like to see it"?, he asked.

"SEE A POKEMON THAT CAN MEGA EVOLVE YES PLEASE", Clemont yell sounding very excited.

"Me too, I want to see", Said Bonnie.

"Very well please follow....", professor Sycamore started to say when Sophie ran into the room and said.

"Sir we have a problem, the Froakie that got out this morning is back but is in critical condition and needs help right away", Sophie said.

"What but how"!?!?, Sycamore ask.

"I don't know, a trainer with a Pikachu on his shoulder just came in and said that Froakie got into a fight and needs medical attention", Sophie explained.

"I see, Sophie please show the kids here to the field were the Pokémon are I'll take care of Froakie".

"Will do", Sophie said with professor Sycamore rushing back to the main room.

"I hope Froakie will be alright", I thought to myself, "I wonder who that trainer was?"

(Ash POV)

I rushed in to professor Sycamore's lab with Froakie in my arm and Pikachu on my shoulders giving me a concerned look. I told a woman in a lab coat what happened and she told me to wait here. She then left and I looked at Froakie and said.

"Don't worry Froakie help will be here soon".

In about 5 minutes man in a lab coat ran in, but stopped in shocked when he saw Froakie in my arms in a critical condition.

"Oh my what happened to Froakie", he asked.

"I'll explain later can you help Froakie".

"Yes I can, follow me", he said. He lead me to what looks like a medial room. I set Froakie on the table then a dome was placed on top of the table then a ray of light came from it and I looked like it started heal Froakie.

"There Froakie will be fine now, it just needs to rest for a little while and then it should be right when it wakes up", the man told me.

"That's good to hear thank you, by the way are you professor Sycamore"?

"Yes I am and who might you be", he asked me.

"Oh right I haven't told you yet, my name is Ash Ketchum".

"Wait your Ash Ketchum ?The boy from Pallet town"?!?! He said in excitement.

"Uh... yes. You heard of me?

"Yes in fact I have, I heard a lot about you from my old friend professor Oak you must be quite the trainer for him to talk about you a lot, please tell me about you experiences as a trainer".

"Oh... well.... I uh.....", I said not knowing what else to say.

"Actually that can wait, please tell me what happened to Froakie ". I then told him about my battle with Lucas, Team Rocket showing up, them trying to take my Pikachu, Froakie showing up, and Lucas going after Team Rocket.

"I see, well at least you and Froakie are safe", he said. " But it concerns me that your friend Lucas is going after a criminal group of people all by himself".

"Ya but I just battled him and he seems very strong I think he can take care of himself".

"I sure hope so", he said with concern. "So anyways there's a group of trainer here in the other room looking at all kinds of Pokémon I keep here in the lab, would you like to meet them". He asked me.

"Maybe later, I would like to stay here and look after Froakie for a while, if that's ok with you".

"Of course I'll be in the other room if you need anything, please keep an eye on him", he said as he left the room.

I over looked at Froakie, he was just lying there resting from the battle it just took place in. I put my hand on the dome then Pikachu looked at me with concern.

"I'm fine Pikachu, I just hope Froakie will be better soon".

(Serena POV)

I'm in what looks like a giant green house with Clemont and Bonnie that Sophie led us to. There were all kinds of Pokémon here from different regions.

"WOW, look at all the different Pokémon", Bonnie said in amazement.

"I know there are certainly a lot".

"So which Pokémon is the one that can Mega Evolve", Clement asked.

"That would be Garchomp", we all looked over and we see professor Sycamore coming down the hall into the green house while pointing at what looks like a giant land shark Pokémon.

"Wow, it's so big", Bonnie said admiring the big dragon type Pokémon.  

"It looks kind of scary to me", I said taking a step back.

"I know it looks intimidating but Garchomp is actually a very friendly Pokémon". Sycamore said trying to make feel at ease. "Go ahead and pet his head, he won't bite he actually likes being petted ".

I was still a little scared when I went up to Garchomp but I managed to build up the courage to put up my hand and start petting his head.

"Garrr", the land shark Pokémon said happily when I was petting it.

"See it likes you", Bonnie said.

"Huh I guess it does".

"So professor how's Froakie doing", Clemont asked.

"Right now he is getting healed in the other room". He said to us. "Don't worry all it needs to do is rest for a while, also Ash is there to keep an eye on him".

"Ash", There is that name again, it sounds so familiar. Do I know him from somewhere?

"Ash is here"? I said with my cheeks turn a light shade of pink. "The boy from Kanto that you though was Clemont".

"Yes he was the one who found Froakie and took him here to recover". Sycamore said. "It was quite a story he told me on what happened to him".

"Really, can you tell us what happened?",Chemont asked.

"Sure", he said. He then told us how Ash had a battle against a boy named Lucas, how this team rocket gang showed up and tried to take his Pikachu, how Froakie showed up and helped them fight, and lastly how Froakie got hurt.

"Wow that's quite the story", said Bonnie.

"Incredible", said Cloment.

"Wow that was very brave thing Ash did", I said with my hand over my heart.

"I know, he is quite the young man, would you like to meet him"? Professor Sycamore asked us.

"YES", I yelled as soon as he said that. I then realized I said that a bit louder then I meant too. But I have to see him, I have to know if it's really him or not, I just got to see him.

"Very well just right this wa.....". Suddenly there was a crash at the far wall in the room we were in. As soon as the smoke cleared we saw 2 people with a red R on their shirts and a Meowth standing at the hole were the crash was.

"What who are you guy"?, Said Sycamore.

"It does not matte who we are, what matters that you give us all the Pokémon you keep here at the lab", said the man.

"WHAT NEVER", he said.

"Fine have it you way", said the Woman. Suddenly the two peolple released a Pumpkaboo and a Inkay.

"Use Dark Pulse"

"Psybeam"

The two Pokémon started unleashing there attacks at all the Pokémon in the room and getting them stared and starting a panic.

"NO stop your scaring them", Bonnie said.

"That's the point you little twerp", said their Meowth. (Wait what!?!?)

"Did... that Meowth just talk", Clemont said shocked.

"I can do more than that, like this". Suddenly he threw a small cube at the Garchomp that was in the room. It then turned into a collar and attached itself to Carchomps neck. It then started to shock him and his eyes started to turn red.

"WHAT... What are you doing to it".

"What does it look like, I'm taking control of it", said the Meowth.
