Twenty-Two

"Oh, hey Yoojoon." Hanbin smiles at him. "What are you doing here?"

"I just thought I'd stop by since I haven't seen you in a while. As class presidents, we should stick together and help each other out, don't you think?"

"Yeah, of course." Hanbin nods. "By the way, this is my friend Zhang Hao. Zhang Hao, this is my friend Yoojoon." He introduces them to each other.

"Don't worry, Hanbin. We already know each other." Yoojoon tells him. "He used to go to my school and as his class president, I'd always help him."

"Oh, really? What a small world. I didn't know that."

"So Hanbin, please make sure to treat him how I would." Yoojoon wraps an arm around Hanbin's shoulder. "You know we're super alike. I'd say we're long lost twins, so you're in good hands, Zhang Hao." He smirks at him when Hanbin doesn't see.

"Yeah, of course." Hanbin just nods. "I'll treat him exactly how you did."

"I-I have to go." Zhang Hao's about to walk away, but is stopped by Yoojoon taking his arm.

"It was nice seeing you, Hao. I'll make sure to stop by more often." He tells him and Zhang Hao immediately pulls his hand away before walking away from them.

"Don't touch him. He doesn't like being touched." Hanbin's smile immediately turns to a look of anger and his eyes darken.

"Oh, what a class president you are." Yoojoon laughs. "Typical Hanbin acting nice in front of others, but then shows his true colors."

"I'm forced to pretend I get along with you in front of others just because of our fathers, but I've already told you, I don't like you. So keep your filthy hands off of me and especially Zhang Hao."

"Aww, you care about him?" He laughs. "How pathetic. I didn't even look his way when he was in my school, but it seems like you're getting involved with him."

"If you have nothing else to say, I'll get going." Hanbin starts walking away.

"Wait!" Yoojoon stops him. "You're not my favorite person either, but I think that as the class president and son of the principal, you should know this."

"What?" Hanbin rolls his eyes.

"I feel so bad that you're the one that has to deal with him now." Yoojoon sighs. "Did you know that... he was expelled from my school for bullying?"

"What?"

"Like you just said, he doesn't like being touched, right? Which means he told you about it. Maybe when you tried to touch him? But do you want to know why he doesn't like being touched? Do you want to know why even now that he saw me, he was so shocked? Because I know the truth about him. He wanted to pretend nothing happened in his old school and thought no one would say a word here, but he's a bully... and I think you remind him of who he used to bully... me. Someone thankfully defended me before he was expelled, so that's why he had bruises when he first came to this school."

Hanbin is shocked to hear this. "What, really? He's a bully? He seems so nice, I can't believe it. That must've been so hard for you."

"Yeah, so now you know. Try not to get bullied by him. Get rid of him while you still can."

"Wow, you really think I'm stupid?" Hanbin laughs. "You needing someone to defend you? You're so pathetic to think I'd believe you. You were able to touch him without feeling scared and now you're saying he bullied you? What bullied victim would be able to talk to their bully like you just did? Why are you lying about something like this?"

"I can't believe you'd think I'm lying about something as serious as that. I know we don't get along, but it's not like I've ever done anything wrong. You just hate me because I'm better than you. You know that if I started coming to this school, I'd end up taking your place."

"You know that's not the reason. I just hate hypocrites and you're the biggest one I know. You act like you care about people as the class president, but then belittle them behind their backs. We may seem so similar because of our positions in the school, but we couldn't be any more different."

"Okay, maybe we are different in some ways." Yoojoon nods. "I'm not in that stupid F4 thing you're in or anything and my father actually cares about me and got my bully expelled, unlike your father. We may not go to the same school, but because of social media, I know everything that goes on around here. Your father didn't expel the guy who drugged your drink? That's a new kind of low." He laughs. "So be more careful next time, Hanbin. It seems like your parents won't protect you I don't want you to die. Who would I compete with if you did?" He tells Hanbin before walking away.

Hanbin's hands turn to fists and he tries to stay calm as he starts seeing more people walk out of the school. He forces a smile as he smiles at people who look at him as they walk away.

He may not be the sweet and kind Hanbin to everyone, but he's now realizing that that's okay. Park Yoojoon doesn't deserve his kindness.
