Thirty-Five

"How?" Zhang Hao asks them.

"Yeah... I would be the one to respond to the messages and give people the advice they needed." Taerae tells him.

"But since when were you two close enough to have an account like that together?" Zhang Hao's in shock right now. "Wait, but you'd respond to the messages only? So who would film when Hanbin would... beat them up?"

"Ricky."

"What?! So it's not just the two of you behind this account? It's also Ricky?"

"I actually started this account with Ricky. We told Taerae a few days after since we felt like we weren't the best at giving advice. Ricky told me Taerae had a way of saying things that would make people feel better." Hanbin tells him. "I got close to Ricky because of the arranged marriage thing. Both of us felt like money didn't make us happy, and since we're the richest in the school, we came up with the idea of using our money for good things since buying things for ourselves didn't make us happy anymore. We noticed a lot of people would complain in the hallways, telling others they were struggling financially or that they really wanted to buy something they needed. Like I said, it was an innocent account at first. It was just to make people feel like they could count on someone. It was for people who felt lonely to not feel like that anymore. They'd ask the account for advice, or just message them to have someone to talk to, or asked the account to buy them something, and it was like they had a friend to rely on."

"Yeah, and since no one knew who was behind this account, even our friends would message us, asking for advice they felt like they couldn't talk to anyone about since they didn't want to worry us."

"Yeah, like Matthew." Hanbin nods. "He talked to the NotAlone account about his stalker and that's how we figured out what was happening. Matthew didn't want to worry his friends, but he trusted the NotAlone account. That's exactly how we wanted people to feel towards this account... like they could trust it."

Zhang Hao can't believe what he's hearing right now. He doesn't know what to believe anymore. Yes, they started this account for a good cause, but how did it get to this point? How did they start beating people up? This is too much information for him to process right now.

"After the Chanwoo incident, it just happened. I couldn't just sit there and watch as me and my friends got hurt because of people like him... And then with the whole Yoojoon thing, Ricky was the one who filmed him get beaten up. We didn't film Chanwoo, but we thought that if we posted that Yoojoon video, maybe it'd make bullies realize that they could end up like him. We thought it'd also make Yoojoon stop since everyone would find out his nice guy act was fake." Hanbin tells him.

"But wait, so there's three people behind the account, right? Hanbin and Ricky give the gifts, Hanbin beats them up, Ricky films, and Taerae manages the account... am I right?"

"Yeah, but recently Matthew also joined. He answers the messages as well since it got too much for Taerae to handle."

"Oh my gosh." Zhang Hao sighs, trying to process everything. "But Hanbin, are you really the one who beats them up? Just tell me all the truth right now."

"It was me and Ricky. Ricky beat Chanwoo up since at the time, I really couldn't do it. We thought teaching him a lesson would make him stop, but I really didn't like violence, so I couldn't. Then with Yoojoon, it was me. I beat him up since I was so angry about what he did to you. Taerae never got involved in any of these fights, so that's why I haven't really told anyone else that he's also behind this account. I've just told the others that I run the account with Ricky. I don't really want Taerae to be associated with this account anymore since he was never the one who chose violence."

"I'm sorry, this is a lot for me to process." Zhang Hao tells them as Hanbin waits, hoping Zhang Hao isn't disappointed in him. "But Hanbin, how could you do this? How could you and Ricky beat them up?" Hao asks him, making Hanbin look down, feeling ashamed and not being able to look into his eyes.

"I'm sorry." Hanbin apologizes.

"You could've gotten hurt!" Zhang Hao rushes over to him and pulls him in for a hug. "And I could've helped you with the account! I'm jealous you didn't think of me to give people advice."

Hanbin sighs in relief. Ever since he started liking Zhang Hao, he was so worried about how he'd react when he found out. It's something he really wanted to tell him, but he was scared to.

"Sorry... we weren't close back then." Hanbin tells him. "But you're not mad at me? Or disappointed?"

"Of course not. You made this account thinking of how you could help people. I'm not super happy with the beating them up part, but it's not like they don't deserve it... but maybe try something else that doesn't involve you beating them up, okay? I don't want you getting in trouble. Plus, look how Yoojoon left you." Zhang Hao frowns as he cups Hanbin's face with one hand, looking up at his bruises.

"Well, I'm glad you two are so understanding with each other, but I'll get going now. See you later." Taerae waves at them and rushes back into the school since he was starting to feel like a third wheel.

"Please don't get caught." Zhang Hao frowns. "It seems like people don't care when someone is bullied, but the moment you beat a bully up, you become a bad guy to them."

"Yeah, I know." Hanbin nods. "We might have to close the account and pretend it never happened."

"That's sad since a lot of people relied on it." Zhang Hao tells him. "But I didn't know you had that side of you... to actually fight with people."

"Don't worry. You won't have to see it. I'll only show you my good side and from now on, I won't choose violence as an answer. I've found a different way to get back at Yoojoon without me having to punch him in the face."

"Really? What is it?" Zhang Hao asks, curiously.

"Let's get back to school and you'll see."
