Chapter 3- Goron city pt.2

Link (POV)

The stable workers woke us up gently around 7 am which was a bit later than normal but I wasn't complaining. I looked over at Zelda who was stretching "Ahhh goodmorning link..." she said giving me a smile while the sunlight shone on her face.. she looked very pretty. Internally slapping myself I decided that I would have to be more professional with her. If my nerves kept on making me think this like this it would cause major problems. I didnt like her. I didnt think she was beautiful. Just my nerves.

"Morning." I said getting up and stretching. We had about an hour before we had to leave so I decided to take a bath in the river and clean my weapons.

I told Zelda where I was going and told her to stay near the stable while I was gone. She nodded but asked to keep the sheika slate on her. I was fine with that.

I stepped into the ice cold water of the river and sighed. I really wish we could go to thoes angelic hot springs near goron city right now.

I washed my body with the cheap soap they had at the stable and got out drying myself with one of the towels that I thought might have been used on one of the horses. Gross.

I changed into my blue tunic and the casual tan pants. I also put on a diamond circlet which gave me guardian resist up because I knew of the guardians that were up there. We had to pass at least two on the way. I sat down with my master sword in hand and started washing it down very gently. I loved my master sword and the spirit, apparently named Fi, inside it.

After I finished with my sword I put it back in its holder placed on my back. I got to work on the lynal sheild next, roughly getting rid of the scrapes and dirt and blood on top of it. It was quite discusting.

I didnt have to do much with the bow, just got rid of the dirt on the hand handle and then checking my arrow stash. 236 arrows 203 bomb arrows 128 ice arrows 97 shock arrows and 377 guardian arrows. "Im gonna need to stock up on shock arrows..." I mutter.

I walked back to the stable to see Zelda was drying her now wet hair and was in clean clothing. She looked at me and smiled "Hey link! I took a bath at the other side of the stable. It was a little far but I was quick and I had my sword and the sheika slate!" She said putting her hands up in surrender. I frowned "Please just be careful okay?" She laughed sheepishly "Yes yes of course." I smiled "Good."

After she dried her hair she looked at me "Link your hair is soaked your gonna catch a cold..." I took a strand in my hand and looked at it. "Its only a little damp..." I said. She shook her head and tried to dry my head but I insisted I was okay and she didn't have to go to the trouble. She groaned "Fine..."

We started to get ready to go up the big mountain. I gave her a satchel full of 30 minute lasting flame proof elixirs. We could easily wear the armor but it wasn't exacly convenient. It was bulky and hard to move in.

We started making our way up when the air started getting painful and my hearts started going down. We drank some of the elixirs and I immediately felt better.

About halfway up the hill I heard the discusting pitter patter of the spider-like guardian. I stopped Zelda who looked confused "Stay here I heard a guar-" I was cut off with the sound of it aiming its beam and thats when I saw a red light on my stomach. It was about to shoot. I got in front of Zelda and brought out my sheild just as it shot. I parred it and I saw its health go down a quarter of the way. I ran forward and brought out my sword and slashed its legs one by one while it tried to hit me. Just as it was about to shoot at me I shot its eye with a arrow and then proceeded to slash its eye knocking it down in a fierce blow. It turned into purple dust save for a few ancient parts which I was excited about.

Zelda ran up to me with stars in her eyes. "Wow link! That was incredible! I know you're a top notch fighter but wow its amazing to see in person!" I smiled and rubbed the back of my neck "Yea well... *cough* uhm are you alright though?" I asked. Her expression softened a bit a bit "Yes I'm okay link. Uhm before bed tonight do you think you could teach me a few things?" She asked as we started walking. I nodded "Yes though I don't think I'd be very good..." "Thats fine I don't care! I wouldn't want it from anyone else."

We got to the top of the mountain where divine beast rudania was. I took note of the fact that there was no glowing color aluminating from it like it normally did. "Well it IS broken..." I thought.

When we got there I realized that there was no way for us to get up there without flying up. The only way was... "Oh no..." Zelda said. I flushed a bit "Zelda get on my back okay?" She looked at me confused and with a red face "Oh u-uh okay..." she stuttered and walked over to me as I was crouched down. She leaned on to my back and put her face in my neck. Her legs went around my waist and her arms heald onto my arms "Hold on tight alright." I said. She gripped onto me which made me blush.

I took a deep breath and called out revalies gale and a updraft came. I brought out my paragliding and we went upwards towards the top. I landed gracefully on top and gripped zeldas legs so she didn't fall. She make a little sound at it and I let her down. "Woah link... is that... I mean I can't be? Is it... revalies gale? That is what he called it right?" She said confused. I nodded at her "After saving all of the champions they gave me their abilities. They come in handy as you could see..." I said trailing off as I was feeling awkward talking for so much. She smiled "Thats so kind of them... oh uh... what's urbosas?" She asked. I smiled and brought up my fingers. I snapped hard and bolts of lightning came down. She jumped "Oh wow!" She exclaimed looking around. We decided we should get back on track after that though.

We went inside the machine and to my relief it wasn't pitch black like last time. We walked around the ginormous beast and tinkered with the pedestals a bit. When we got to the big terminal however it seemed it was glowing again. Before I could stop her, Zelda put the sheika slate up to the glowing mark. To my surprise no kind of Ganon came out and I was relieved. I would have loved to defeat it again, but not with Zelda there.

After a while we finally got the thing to work properly again and it went onto the side of the volcano almost like it was patrolling the mountain.

We decided to paragliding off directly into goron city. Apparently Zelda seemed to love the paraglider. "It feels like we're flying!" She had said.

She climbed on my back and heald on tight once again. I thought this would be an awkward situation- which it was- but I didnt really care.

We landed in front of the elders cave like home. Zelda looked at me "Im going to tell him my plans. I hope he will agree..." I smiled "Im sure it will go great, prinsess, I know you can do it." I said giving her words of encouragement. She smiled determined "Yes. Okay uhm come with me please?" She asked. I nodded but before going in we took another elixer just in case.

"Well brother that seems like a good idea! Of course we will help! It will take me about 3 weeks to get my troops together though. That okay?" Zelda beamed "Oh yes that's perfect! Thank you so so much bludo! We will repay you in anyway we can!" Bludo laughed loudly "Ahhh no need! I just can't wait to see this place put back together! I only remember a little bit from when I was a little kid... Anyways we will contact you." Zelda bowed "Thank you bludo and goodnight." We walked out calmly but as soon as we were out of sight Zelda went nuts "Oh my hylia!" She squealed "Were actually doing this! This is amazing!"

We decided that the hot beds made of molten rock were not really our style to sleep in so we set up a camp next to the hot springs. I killed all of the lizaloafs and chu-chus so we could take a bath in private but I wouldn't have to worry about Zelda. Still I gave her the sheika slate so she could teleport to haneto village at any time.

I put down some wood and it automatically turned into a campfire which was very convenient. I set out a small tent made out of a worn down tarp. I knew it made Zelda feel more safe when there was stuff blocking the way of anything.

I sat in the hot springs sighing in comfort. I felt all of my wounds being soothed and healed. I washed myself with some of the soap I stole from the stables and I wiped myself down with again, a stolen towel.

I put on my blue hylian tunic along with my tan pants and amber earings for defense. I walked back to our small campfire and decided to make some food. I didnt have a cooking pot so I couldnt make Zelda something special which saddened me but I made some seared steak with rock salt sprinkled on top and some baked apples with sugar cane on top of it.

Zelda came back looking relaxed while drying her hair with another stolen towel. She thought it was funny on how they had stolen them and the stable workers didn't even care. She saw her plate and smiled widely "Oh thank you link!" She said rushing to sit down. I nodded and began to dig in. She laughed a bit "You always were quite the glutton werent you? Good to see you haven't changed." She said taking a bite out of her steak. I smiled a bit with the food still in my mouth. I had read that in her diary.

After we finished I decided that now I should teach her a few things which she happily agreed to. So we grabbed our swords. Me my master sword and her eighfold blade.

"Okay so first off the basics..." I taught her how to hold a sword properly and how to swing it. She was surprisingly a fast learner and got the hang of it. We practiced some routines of swinging the sword and how to jab and things. Afterwards when we were both tired we decided to go to sleep. We took a elixir and went to sleep.
