||DOJO DAY CARE||

Should I do a face reveal? Let me know in the comments and please don't forget to vote! By the way, I'd be revealing my face in one of the actual chapters at the end because I think's sort of annoying to have a separate page just to reveal what I look like. Thanks! Happy reading!

"Man, I can't believe how much bigger they're making the mall," Jack said as he, Milton, Eddie, and I marveled at the sight of the constructing site in the courtyard.

"You know, we really shouldn't be here without hard hats," Eddie pointed out.

"Eh. I've got nothing to worry about," I shrugged.

"Why not?" Eddie asked.

"Because Jack always seems to see something bad before it happens and literally stops it from happening. I'm telling ya, it's a superpower," I teased as Jack flushed pink. "Aww, I made Jackie blush."

"Stop it," he whined, his face returning to it's natural color. "And don't call me Jackie."

"Now I'm definitely calling you Jackie," I laughed.

"Jerry! This is my dojo! It's a place of honor, respect, and integrity!" Rudy exclaimed as he punched on a kiddie toy making it moo, oink, quack, and cock-a-doodle-doo. We were setting up a day care in the dojo so we could watch over Byron, the principal's son. Jerry found himself in a near-expulsion situation and we were all helping him get out of it. Of course, I gave him a nice scolding of leaving me to rot in a school with creepy stalkers, but other than that, I was pretty chill about it. Kim was on a cruise with my mom, my dad, and my brother. You're probably wondering why I'm not there. Apparently, my family can't bring me anywhere. Which I don't mind considering that means I can spend more time with Jack.

"Come on, Rudy. If we don't do this I'll get expelled," Jerry pointed out.

"Then I'll have no one to protect me, not that I need it, from the weird stalkers at school," I supported him. "Well, I guess I still have Jack."

"This is not a day care center. And it never will be!" Rudy insisted.

"Dojo Day Care Center," the principal sighed. "What a concept. You are really gonna love it here, Byron."

"I am nipping this in the bud right now," Rudy told Jerry.

"Rudy, come on-"

"-Principal Becket," Rudy ignored Jerry.

"Who do I make the a hundred dollar check to?" the principal asked.

"That would be Rudy Gillespie," Rudy immediately answered, clapping. "Milton, Eddie. Get Byron and put him in the ball pit. And give him a graham cracker."

"I'm not touching this little snotbag," Milton denied. "The thing is wearing a toilet."

"Weren't you the one who snuck into the nursery to pick up adorable babies you weren't supposed to?" I asked.

"Yes, and I've learned from my mistakes," Milton shuddered.

"I'll take him," Eddie offered, taking Byron from the principal as me and Jack leaned against the ball pit. "Hey baby Byron!"

"There you go, there you go," the principal cooed as they made the transfer.

"You don't have to worry about a thing Principal Becket," Jerry promised.

"I'm holding you responsible for my son, Jerry. I'll be back at 7. And my legs will be smoldering. Olay," the principal said before walking out of the dojo.

"His legs will be smoldering? What?" I asked in disgust.

"He's going flamenco dancing with Dot. They're gonna try to beat the Rosenbaums," Jerry replied.

"What does that- you know what? Never mind," I shook my head.

"This really stinks Jerry," Milton commented.

"Oh relax," Jerry scoffed. "It's just a couple of hours with one little baby."

"By the way," the principal spoke, reentering the dojo. "I uh I put up a notice on the faculty bulletin board about this place." He, then, left again.

"Wait a minute. That means-" I was cut off by parents and their kids coming into the dojo. Once they all left Jerry was covered in babies and toddlers. "-we're gonna be stuck with a bunch of kids for a couple hours," I finished, groaning.

•••

It's been about a half hour and things are getting a little better. The normal rascal toddlers were there and the normal whining babies were there too, but overall it was ok. Ish. I was currently burping a baby, something I learned to do when I was 5 because my family just keeps growing, so I was doing fine. Jack was chasing after a toddler, looking unsuccessful. "Hey, hey, hey!" he called to her. "Stop running. Come here! Stop it! Come here!" He finally picked her up, taking whatever she wasn't supposed to be playing with.

"Hey! That kid's got my trophy again!" Rudy exclaimed, pointing at Timmy who was playing with the first place trophy I won in a tournament.

"Technically it's mine," I corrected.

"It really doesn't matter Cami!" Rudy told me. "Get back here, you!" Timmy ran to the table, putting pressure on the neck, snapping the head off. "Hey! He snapped my little man's head off!"

"Still mine, Rudy," I reminded him.

"Still doesn't matter, Cami," he mocked. "You better sleep with one eye open during nap time!"

"Rudy! Don't threaten the kids. They're only toddlers and under," I berated, walking up to Jack.

"Rudy. Rudy!" Jack paused, laughing with the little girl in his arm. "Rudy! Where's Milton?" he asked walking up to Rudy.

"He's changing some baby's diaper," Rudy answered.

"He is? But what about his fear of germs?" Jack asked as Milton came out in a biohazard attire.

"There's your answer," I pointed at Milton. Milton dragged the baby in a wagon, holding the dirty diaper with some tongs, throwing it in the trash. Milton ripped open the suit as soon as the diaper fog was clear, breathing heavily.

"Ok, we should be good now," Milton breathed. "That diaper weighed more than he does."

"We've got an escapee! Pigtails walkin'!" Rudy announced going outside to bring the girl back inside. I'm pretty sure she's not one of our kids. "Hey, come back inside. Come on."

"Hey! Excuse me! Can I have my niece back?" Joan called as she followed Rudy and the girl, who I'm assuming is her niece, into the dojo.

"Oh," Rudy realized. "Oh I'm sorry. I thought she was one of ours."

"Oh no no no. I'm taking her over to the Holiday Suites. My sister enrolled her in the Little Ms. Seaford Pageant," Joan explained.

"No! Don't play with that!" I exclaimed as one of toddlers started playing with the fire extinguisher. "Uh here. This is fun. Yeah? Yeah," I cooed, giving him a small basketball. "Timmy!" I exclaimed as Timmy began grabbing another trophy. "If you want a trophy, take this one," I gave him a participation trophy Rudy got from his debate team way back when. "It's really a disappointment, so you can do anything you want to it," I told him.

"Yay!" he cheered, walking away with the useless trophy.

"You're pretty good with kids," Jack told me as he walked up to me with the same toddler from earlier.

"Well, when your family keeps growing, you learn a thing or two about taking care of kids," I shrugged. "I learned how to change a diaper when I was 6."

"That's impressive," Jack nodded. "And disgusting."

•••

"I think we're safe," I heard Milton say from the ball pits. For the past hour or so the kids have been attacking Milton and Eddie for fun. They knew not to mess with me, Jack, or Jerry because they know they'll be put in time out. Milton and Eddie tried that technique, but they're too affected by the kids' attacks that it's useless. Unlike me and Jerry, who actually spends times with kids on a daily basis and Jack who just has a high pain tolerance. "Oh!" Milton gasped as Timmy hit him on the head with a mini pugul stick.

"Did you say we're safe?" Eddie asked, emerging from the balls. "Oh oh whoa!" Eddie yelped as Timmy his head too.

"Hey, Jerry? Where's baby Byron?" Jack asked, emerging from the locker rooms with a toddler.

"What? I thought he was with you," Jerry told Jack. We all looked at each other with wide eyes, setting down the toddlers we were carrying. "Baby Byron!"

"Baby Byron!" Jack also called out.

"Baby Byron!" I called out too.

"Baby Bryon!"

"Baby Byron! Baby Byron!"

"Baby Byron!"

"Dude he's not in here!" Jack exclaimed.

"What?!" me and Jerry gasped.

"I'm gonna be expelled," Jerry panicked. "Oh forget expelled, I'm goin' to prison! Oh forget prison, I'm goin' to summer school! You know what they do to guys like me in summer school?"

"Jerry, calm down. We'll find a way to fix this. Just keep looking for Byron," I assured.

"I can't calm down! I just lost the principal's baby!" he exclaimed. "Yo, we lost the principal's baby! It's not like losing some English teacher's baby, this is big time!" I sighed, looking out of the dojo to see Byron crawling around the construction site.

"Guys! He's outside! Under....all of the big cranes and metal planks! We gotta get Byron outta there!" I pointed out the door.

"Eddie, Milton, you guys hold down the fort," Jack instructed as me, him, and Jerry rushed outside. "Dude! What happened? He was just here!"

"He's like Jack-Jack, teleporting everywhere," I complained.

"I don't teleport," Jack scoffed. "I'm just really sneaky."

"Not you. Jack-Jack is a superhero baby in the movie, Incredibles. He teleports in front of the babysitter in the film. How have you not seen it?" I asked. "Actually, don't answer that. Now's not the time. We need to find baby Byron." We all split up, looking for the super baby.

"Byron!" Jerry yelled, regrouping to the front of the dojo.

"Byron, where are you buddy?" Jack asked as he also found himself back in front of the dojo.

"Byron! I have some keys you can play with," I jingled the keys as I met up with the boys.

"Yo, any luck?" Jerry asked.

"No," Jack whined.

"Nope," I shook my head, pocketing my keys. I may not have a car, but I have a key to my house, my safe, and my mini fridge. Long story cut short, Jerry likes to snoop around for food, so I have a lock on my fridge and a lock on my safe, which is more of a pantry than a safe.

"Look- look, if we can't find this baby....we'll just have to give Becket something that looks like one," Jerry suggested.

"Jerry, it's a baby. You can't just replace it!" I told him.

"What about a ham with a diaper and drawn on eyes?" Jerry asked.

"No!" I immediately declined. "We've gotta find Byron. I don't need this on my permanent record, thank you very much."

"Dude. Dude, dude, dude. And dudet. There he is!" Jack pointed at Byron who was sitting on a stack of construction supplies.

"Get him before he runs away again!" I ordered. "Go, go- oh no." The stack was, apparently, on a lift. That lift happened to be lifted up, causing us all to try and stop it.

"My baby! MY BABY! Somebody save my baby!" Jerry screeched. Me and Jack raced up the construction frame, trying to get to baby Byron. Of course, when all things are at stake, more has to go down.

"Jack, help!" I screamed as my foot slipped. Thankfully, Jack hooked his arm around my waist, steadying me.

"You ok?" he asked nervously.

"Yeah. I think so. Thanks to you," I smiled warmly. "Now, as much as I hate to ruin the moment, baby Byron is still being lifted up hundreds of meters from the ground."

"Right," Jack nodded, letting me climb myself. We continued our journey upwards. Me and Jack breathlessly made it to the same level as Byron after 15 minutes or so to be met with Jerry.

"How'd you get up here so fast?" I asked leaning over, breathing heavily.

"I took the elevator," Jerry replied.

"There was an elevator?" I asked, dead serious.

"Look, you guys gotta stop foolin' around. Becket will be back for Byron any minute," Jerry reminded us.

"You think that was fun?" I asked angrily.

"Not the climbing, but I saw you two when you slipped. You were literally kissing each other with your eyes. I do not want to see that yo. Plus, if you ever her date her, Jack, I'll pummel you," Jerry threatened.

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"Because you're not ready to date yet," Jerry said.

"Oh please. You just don't want me to get a date before you do," I scoffed.

"Can we get back to business please?" Jerry asked loudly, probably knowing the last statement was true. "Look, there he is." Jerry pointed at baby Byron who was sitting peacefully on the metal bar.

"Come here, baby Byron. Come to Cami. Come on. Come on," I cooed as I walked down the metal bar towards him, just for him to crawl off.

"NO!" we all screamed, but sighed in relief when another bar caught him as it was lifted up higher.

"Let's go up," Jack suggested, leading us up the frame. We continued climbing for another 5 minutes before becoming level with Byron. "There he is!" Jack exclaimed, pointing at the, pretty much, flying baby.

"Save him, Jack!" Jerry yelled. Jack jumped onto the bar, making it tip. Byron started slowly falling off the bar, causing me to get to Jack as fast as I could. I made it in time, thankfully, and caught Byron.

"Got him," I sighed a breath of relief. "You hold him," I gave him to Jerry. "He's not smelling too great."

"Look! Here comes Principal Becket!" Jack alerted us, hopping off of the metal bar.

"Jerry, hook this on your pants," I told him, handing him a hook.

"Why?" he asked.

"Just do it!" I yelled causing him to fumble the hook as he hooked it onto his belt loophole. "Jack, lower him down with that remote near your head." Jack grabbed the remote, quickly lowering Jerry down to the main ground level. Fortunately, the principal had to tie his shoe, giving Jerry enough time to unhook the hook. Me and Jack shared a breath of relief, giving each other a high five. "Scariest babysitting job ever!"

Jerry was sprawled on the bench, breathing heavily as I was folding the random blankets spread around the dojo. "That was fun. Can we come back here again, tomorrow, mommy?" Timmy asked his mom.

"No," everyone replied.

"Dojo Day Care is officially closed," Jack said as I set down the blankets, walking towards him. Timmy and his mom left the dojo, much to everyone's relief.

"Well, that's it. We're done. All of the kids have been picked up," Jerry told us.

"Not quite," Eddie spoke, reading off the clipboard. "There's still one kid left. Little Maddie Edsell."

"Maddie?" Milton called out.

"Maddie!" Jack repeated.

"Where is she?" Milton asked. I looked outside to see the baby climbing onto more construction gear.

"She's outside," I pointed outside. "Milton, Eddie. This one's all yours," I told them, resting my head on Jack's bicep. He tiredly wrapped his arm around me as Milton and Eddie reluctantly walked out of the dojo.

"Hey!" Jerry pointed at us. "Watch it! Remember what I said. I will pummel you." Me and Jack reluctantly separated until Jerry exited the room. We, then, leaned against the trophy wall comfortably, close together. This is nice.

"Our handprints are gonna be here forever," Rudy told us as we all had our hands in the wet cement. "And a mortal testament to our enduring friendship."

"Rudy, it's been 10 minutes, is it set?" Jack asked.

"Has it been that long? We're good," Rudy assured. We all tried lifting their hands up, but realized we were stuck.

"What? Rudy we're stuck," Jerry pointed out as baby Byron passed us.

"Oh no. Not again, you baby demon. Not again," I glared. "And he went up again." We all watched as baby Byron was lifted up on the constructive site again. "Ok, this time it's not even our fault."
