With all the practicing that Jade was doing with the DayCare Pokemon. Adoption Day came a little quicker than she expected. She didn't fully realize how much time had passed until she saw the sign on the door.

'I guess today will be the actual performance rather than a rehearsal.' she thought.

Today would also be the day that Gabite would officially join the team, which she was excited about. This mini project of hers was the perfect chance to at least get an idea of what her new pokemon was capable of doing.

Rhyme ran forward, "Oliver said that the pokemon all needed a bath to make sure they could be ready for the big day. Piplup and I can do that after they have breakfast. You just take it easy for the last few hours we have to get ready for their performance."

"Are you sure that you don't want me to help out with feeding and bathing?" Jade asked.

"I'm sure. Besides, you also have to look your best when you're directing everything."

It was then that Oliver stepped out, overhearing the conversation that was happening. "Rhyme has a point, Jade. Besides, you've done your part in all of this. The two of us can make sure the little ones are ready."

"I guess if you're sure then I won't worry about it."

As the two ran off to make the final preparations, Jade sat down on a bench and released all her pokemon.

"I'd like for you all to watch the performance when it's time," she said. "Delcatty, thanks for teaching the Pachirisu to run with the hoops."

Delcatty purred as she puffed her chest out, clearly enjoying the praise she was getting. Umbreon tilted her head when Jade turned to look at her.

"Umbreon, if you get any ideas about what you want to do whenever you're in contests then let me know alright? Since you're still not completely used to humans, I want to make sure that you don't feel overwhelmed whenever it's your turn and that you're happy with what you're doing."

"U-Umbre..." the Moonlight Pokemon nodded. Right now the thought of being the center of attention was scary. But as long as she was going to take things slow then she supposed that it wouldn't be too bad.

"Vus!" Misdreavus flew over to Umbreon and nuzzled her cheek. Umbreon couldn't help but wag her tail at the reassurance.

"Well, Rhyme and Oliver seem to be set on doing all the last preparations themselves so let's just relax for a bit before it's time."

........

After their breakfast and bath, all the pokemon up for adoption gathered around Jade. Looking over her shoulder, they could see a crowd of people gathering at the other side of the gate. No doubt curious about what has been going on the past few days. Rhyme sat in the corner with Jade's team, excitedly waiting for the show to begin.

"Alright, just remember what we practiced. Pachirisu, don't get too excited when you're charging up the hoops with electricity. Buneary, do the poses and jumps that Delcatty and Leafeon showed you when you're going through the hoops. Shellos, aim your bubbles where sunlight is sure to hit them. That should add some color to them. Bidoof, just concentrate on the things you're balancing on your nose, and don't get distracted."

All the pokemon nodded. Seeing their determination, Jade couldn't help but smile.

"I have faith in all of you. And above all else, make sure that you're having fun with this."

Oliver soon stepped out to greet the growing crowd. "Hello everyone. I'm sure that you're all curious about what's been going on in our humble little DayCare the past few days. Well, a coordinator was nice enough to take time out of her busy schedule to get to know the pokemon here and put on a little show for you today, even going as far as adopting a Gabite. The rest of the pokemon here are up for adoption and eagerly waiting to join a trainer's team or simply make a new life companion. If one of the pokemon here catches your eye, make sure to come and meet them. The goal for the DayCare today is to make sure that all the pokemon here are on their way to a new home."

Oliver then looked to Jade and nodded, signaling to her that they could begin.

Jade bowed to the crowd before turning to the pokemon behind her. "Bidoof, Shellos, you three are up! Start us off!"

Bidoof walked forward, balancing his favorite ball on his nose. The two Shellos sitting on top of the ball. Once they made it to the middle, Bidoof stood on his hind legs and the Shellos aimed bubbles toward the sky. Sunlight shone through them, causing rainbow colors to appear throughout the area. Taking that as their cue the Pachirisu got their hoops and began running along the edge of the fence while using Spark. The Buneary jumped forward and used Attract, aiming for the bubbles in the air. The collision between the moves caused the bubbles to become heart-shaped.

Gabite stepped forward as two electrified hoops were released by the Pachirisu, catching them both with each hand. He threw them in the air, which was the cue the Buneary needed to start jumping through them. Each of them flew through with ease and winking to the crowd when they landed, just like how Delcatty had shown them.

After each Buneary had done their trick, Gabite caught the hoops with his tail, doing the same for the rest of them as the Pachirisu left their hoops. As the rest of its friends began gathering around them, Bidoof threw the ball in the air, the Shellos jumped off and safely landed on his back. The group of pokemon bowed to their audience as the bubbles popped.

At first, there was silence but it was replaced with wild applause shortly after. Jade noticed that some people were already heading to the doors of the DayCare, no doubt more than prepared to adopt one of the pokemon they saw.

She had a feeling that this was a success.

.......

The rest of the day was spent watching all the pokemon leaving with yellow scarves and in the arms of their new partners. Once everything was done, most of the DayCare was empty.

"Thanks again for all that you've done," Oliver said with a smile. "I don't know how this would've turned out without you coming by when you did."

Jade smiled as well. "It's no problem at all. I had fun working with all of them. And I'm glad that everything turned out so well."

"Not to mention that you got a new member for your team." Rhyme added. "I can't wait to see the look on people's faces when they see a Gabite doing contests."

Jade nodded, holding the Premier Ball that contained the newest member of the team. "I suppose I'll have more training to do for the upcoming contest... but for now we should all take it easy. Today was quite eventful."

"If you ever need space to practice then feel free to come back." Oliver offered. "It's the least I can do after all you've done."

"I might just take you up on that offer."

Tired but happy with how everything turned out, Jade and Rhyme went to the Pokemon Center to rest.
