Stammering, Mingyu walked out of Wonwoo's room, walking with his pair of feeble legs across the living room, past the bathroom in front of which Jun was standing, checking up Wonwoo. He felt so dizzy and nauseous for some reasons and went to his room to take a little break. Arriving, he immediately sat on the edge of his bed, holding his head with one hand, train of thoughts yet again distressing him.

He disappeared for four years. Check.

Wonwoo had been spending his time mourning. Check.

The first thing he did to Wonwoo after causing him pain was yet again causing him pain. Check.

Not to forget the quick glimpse of mixed expressions Mingyu could see on the older's face as he rushed his way out of his room; anguish, sadness, pain, distress, everything. He looked so tormented he never thought he would witness his boyfriend that way. And again, as he closed his eyes with trembling jaws, tears fell once more.

"Just, what happened...?" weakly, he asked himself, voice barely audible, cracking because of the tears. "I don't fucking understand!" he let out, but with his already hoarse throat, not much he could make out.

"I never want to ever hurt him!" he cried out. "Just why?!"

Finally breaking down, not strong enough to hold in, Mingyu cried in silence, emanating wails and wails of pain, his breath hitching through his uncontrollably runny nose. He grabbed his hair hard with both hands it might be enough to rip hairs off of his head as the images of him and Wonwoo just last night appeared in his head.

As Mingyu was still busy preparing dinner in the kitchen, he could hear the front door unlocking and opening. Turning his head to the source of the sound, he was greeted by his boyfriend coming home, waving his hand. "Welcome home, Babe," he said, hands still busy stir-frying ham on the pan. "Dinner?" he asked, although he was sure the older hadn't eaten dinner yet.

It was somewhere around 10 p.m., and yes Mingyu waited for his beloved one to have dinner together. Wonwoo got home late as he had extra works and group assignments he needed to do at the campus. To say he was beat this week could be an understatement--Mingyu had never seen Wonwoo this busy throughout the time they had been together. "Wonwoo? Baby?" Mingyu called again as he didn't get any answer. Even then, he went back to his cooking and decided to check on him after finishing the dinner.

Finally done, Mingyu served the food for two on two plates and put them on the dining table. He was confused for a moment as he entered the dining room since he couldn't see Wonwoo anywhere. "Wonwoo?" he called, but again, no answer. He put down the plates and went to the couch area to check.

The tall boy exhaled and shook his head as he could clearly see Wonwoo slouched on one of the sofa, eyes closed, breathing peacefully in his sleep. Although Mingyu felt a bit bad of waking him up to let him eat dinner first at least--moreover clean up and other stuffs, he tried it anyway. Patting his boyfriend's soft cheek gently, he called with his soothing voice, kneeling on the ground, eyes on the same level as Wonwoo's, "Babe, let's have dinner first?"

After a few seconds not getting answer, again, Mingyu tried to gently shake his shoulder, but to no avail. He was kinda worried if the older passed out because of fever or something, but as he put a hand on his forehead, he presumed he was just dead tired. The boy sighed upon the sight. 'He must have overworked. I'm proud of you for doing your best, Love,' he said to himself as he kissed his boyfriend's forehead.

He then tried to carry Wonwoo to his bed, but since he didn't know where he kept the key--and he felt wrong to just rummage his bag, so he decided to carry him into his room, lying down the thin boy on his bed. Thinking of eating his dinner first and sleeping outside, Mingyu bad farewell again after kissing his cheek, "Have a nice sleep, Wonwoo."

Turning back, he stopped as a hand grabbed his. "Stay," he could hear Wonwoo's soft yet hoarse voice. "Don't leave me."

Mingyu turned his head around to look at his boyfriend, trying to check if he was awake, but it turned out he wasn't. His eyes were still tightly shut. "I won't, Babe," he answered softly as he turned back around.

Tugging his attention was Wonwoo's grip on his hand getting tighter. Was he really still asleep, Mingyu couldn't tell. 'Is he having a nightmare or...?' "I'm scared."

Two words were enough to make Mingyu shiver and extremely worried. "Babe, what's wrong?" he asked as Wonwoo snuggled closer towards his thighs area. Noticing, Mingyu knelt on the floor and Wonwoo immediately wrapped his arms around Mingyu, hugging him.

"I'm scared," he repeated. His breath seemed to quicken and was not as peaceful.

"It's okay, I'm here," Mingyu said, returning the hug, offering him warmth and comfort. "I'm here."

Wonwoo stayed there in that position in silence with only the sounds of his breathing. After a few minutes not sensing anymore turbulence in Wonwoo's sleep, Mingyu tried to detach his arms from his shoulders as his position started to get his bones aching. Catching him surprised, Wonwoo's arms stayed firm, not letting Mingyu go even just for an inch. Mingyu groaned in pain as his back arched and ached.

Sighing deeply, he tried to push Wonwoo, a bit forcefully, while still keeping his arms around, and emptied a spot next to him on the bed. Slowly, he crawled onto the bed right next to his boyfriend. 'This... will be just fine, right?'

Soon as he secured his place, Wonwoo snuggled closer to him, to his broad chest, and placed his cheek there. After a few seconds, Mingyu could see his earlier tense face started to loosen up as well as his breathing. He smiled, feeling happy that he managed to calm his boyfriend down from whatever was troubling him even in his sleep. Mingyu then stared at his boyfriend's peaceful sleeping face, smiling fondly, feeling lucky to have him as his special someone. He slowly brushed his lover's hair and leaned a bit forward, kissing the top of his head. "I wonder what happened to you," he said. "Whatever it is, I'm here."

Mingyu then decided just to sleep as he needed one as well. And so, he closed his eyes slowly, Wonwoo's face slowly getting out of sight. "I love you, Jeon Wonwoo."

"I love you too."

Mingyu's eyes shot open as he heard Wonwoo mumbling. "Don't ever leave me," Wonwoo continued, eyes still shut.

Smiling, Mingyu pulled Wonwoo even closer. "I won't," he simply answered, putting a hand on his boyfriend's soft cheek. "Good night for now."

And he fell asleep.
