harry sat at his usual spot, his head kept looking up at the entrance to the library.

harry couldn't help but feel warm at the thought of seeing her again. she definitely made him happy.

he didn't really expect to be waiting up to four hours for her arrival, and soon found himself walking over to the information counter.

he just couldn't wait.

"hello, is mrs. peters coming in anytime soon?"

harry tried to be subtle as possible because he didn't really talk to anyone. well, except for allison of course.

"oh sorry hun, she's not coming in today."

mrs fine was surprised to see this fine lad asking for allison, and as much as she knew they were quite close these past few weeks, she wasn't sure to enclose the information of why she isn't coming to work.

harry nodded before walking back to his usual spot. he grabbed his journal and found himself scribbling away.

as the table shook with his aggressive scribbling, he stopped when he found today's newspaper on the floor.

the table had shook so hard until it fell off. harry sighed and placed the pen he was gripping on the table.

he closed his journal with the pen still inside and mentally groaned. he placed his face in his palms and his elbows were on the table.

he didn't know what to think of allison's absence today.

he was worried or just plain pissed.

did he do something wrong that led to her not wanting to meet him like she had promised yesterday?

well, it wasn't quite a promise - but it was quite an assurance that made him look forward to.

he even got dressed in his new dark purple t shirt, since allison said he needed more colour.

he smiled. god, she was definitely changing him.

he felt so down, it made him overthink the possibilities. it angered him yet it made him think of what he did wrong.

he felt his fingers slowly forming into fists, and his jaw was severely clenched. was she using him?

it felt like yesterday was a whole new page and a whole new dream in his world. it felt special and harry wanted to feel this way again.

allison was special.

harry closed his eyes, and flipped through his journal. he knew allison changed his whole perspective on the world, and how his words had changed ever since he met her.

but who was he to her? he felt like crap in her eyes. if she didn't come to the library like she said she would, it was obviously just another sick game.

harry was nothing. who in their right minds would want another sick patient, counting their days to die?

allison said she would, but harry knew words couldn't change anything.

heck, even his parents left him all alone.

he shook his head, and felt tears dropping on his hands. shit.

he quickly wiped them away, and looked up to see that the library was quite empty.

nobody stays at the library during lunch hours anyway.

harry decided that today was another disappointment and decided to pack his stuff. he wanted to sleep anyways. the bed wasn't even made this morning because of him rushing to the library.

all because of her.

he'd come back tomorrow, in case she came. he'd be back for the daily newspaper anways.

and with that, he walked out of the library and it was a day to write in his journal.

the first day of leaving the library early, all because of a girl.
