This is part 2 of the imagine requested by @Autogirls. I'm changing the plot of Aladdin a little to fit this narrative and I'm really trying to hit all the points from the request. Sorry if this part is a little all over the place. Last part coming Soon! :D

Word Count: 2033

The weeks were going by too quickly. One moment, you were being rescued by Aladdin, and now it had been over a week of getting to know the infamous street rat and developing a connection with him. All while still maintaining your duties of course.

You wrote to Prince Arthur every few days to keep him updated on the status of Agrabah, leaving out Aladdin. He of course wrote back just as often, keeping you in the loop on England and wedding plans, of which you were starting to lose interest in even more than before. Of course everyone knows as a princess, you don't simply get to choose your husband. You are given to whomever offers the most to your father and the country. You didn't love Arthur, though you tried to. He was nice enough but love? What even is love?

You and the Sultan were currently finalizing the plans for trades. You decided the best course of action would be to provide extra training to those transporting, as well as an extra guard until the cargo was safely on it's way over the ocean. You could hardly focus though, as you were supposed to meet Jasmine any minute now to talk about your day's adventure.

"Okay. I think that does it." The Sultan says, leaning back in his chair. "Thank you again, so much Princess (Y/N). You truly are my favorite visitor. Just don't tell any other leaders that."

You laugh lightly. "Of course not. So long as you don't tell anyone this is my favorite place to visit. Your hospitality is the best." You rise from your seat, using you hands to smooth out your gown. "I must be off if we are done though if you wouldn't mind. I'm supposed to meet Jasmine in the garden."

"Oh no! Of course! I'm glad she has a friend to talk to now." he sighs. "She has yet to find a husband. They all seem to be scared off by the first visit..."

"Well Rajah is quite protective." you chuckle. "I shall see you for breakfast in the morning. Isla?" You start walking towards the gardens, Isla hurrying to follow next to you. "You are released from your duties for the night. Go enjoy your night. Visit the city."

She bows quickly, still trying to keep pace with you. "Gracias Princesa." she says before walking back into the palace.

"Have you finished the plans with Papa?"

You get to where Jasmine is seated waiting for you, Rajah at her feet purring loudly. You scratch behind his ear causing his purrs to get louder.

"Yes. I shall stay a couple more weeks to be sure the plan works, but I think we'll be okay now."

"That's great!" she smiles and pulls you to sit next to her. "Sooooo. Did Aladdin show today?"

You blush. "No...and he didn't yesterday....He hasn't shown up for 3 days...and I....I'm not sure it's good for me to continue seeing him though..."

"What?! Why not?!" Jasmine's face immediately drops in concern. "I thought you were really getting along together with how you talked!"

You sigh sadly and look down at your hands clutched in your lap. "Well...it's going great. It really is. But..." you sigh again. "I think I-I love him." You look up from your lap and lie down, looking up at the stars that were starting to come out. "You and I both know falling in love isn't exactly how royalty works. We are princesses. We have our husbands chosen for us based on money."

Jasmine nods sadly, laying down next to you. "I know what you mean. Have you tried to talk to him about it?"

You nod and tell her what happened last time you saw him.

"Wait so, how do I do this?"

You walk to stand in front of a giggling Aladdin, who was currently holding a broken broom handle. "Like this." You move his hands to hold the stick like a sword, trying to avoid the blush spreading to your cheeks. You show him how to stand so he's balanced before going back to your place and picking up your stick as well.

"Let's go over the moves again." You go through the few swings that work as a drill between the two of you when you join in.

"How do you know sword fighting techniques again? I thought princesses were all about jewelry and gowns and looking nice."

You laugh and shake your head. "Perhaps in some places that's true, but not for me. Here, let's take a break. We've gone through most of the basics by now."

You put your sticks away and go to sit on the ledge overlooking the city and palace. "My mother, the queen of Spain currently, taught me. She was the general of the Spanish Army. She was still fighting for our country even when she was pregnant with me, much to Mi papá's displeasure. But, they both agree a princess should be able to protect herself in the least. And to be a leader, you must know how to fight for what you believe in."

"Wow...your country sounds so different compared to Agrabah." Aladdin pauses. "Princess?"

"We've been over this Aladdin. (Y/N) is just fine."

"Okay...(Y/N)? I need to tell you something...." he hesitates, nervous. "I-I think I might love you."

Anything you were previously thinking and feeling are suddenly gone. "Oh..."

He quickly continues. "I know you're engaged, and I know that this isn't your home and that you have to marry a prince-"

"Actually Aladdin...I think....Yo también te quiero... I love you too...." You look up into his eyes, now wide in shock. "I know for the princess here, her husband must be a prince...But for me it doesn't matter if they are royalty, though it's preferred. All that matters is what the person can offer my family and country..."

Aladdin nods sadly. "I can't match a prince..."

You rest your head on his shoulder. "I do love you Aladdin. I would much prefer you to Arthur." You laugh softly. "He really is self centered. And all about money and power. It's very unappealing." This makes Aladdin smile a bit. "It's so unlike you. You're kind and caring. You are helpful and see the best in people. You care more about what's best for those around you rather than yourself." You feel his arm wrap around you and hug you. You hug him back and sit in silence, not wanting to leave the moment.

Once the sun starts it's decent in the sky, you stand up, brushing off your dress. "I must be going now back to the palace. Shall I see you tomorrow?"

He smiles slightly and bows deeply. "Of course your highness."

"I'm sorry (Y/N). And there's nothing that would prevent him coming?"

You shake your head. "I don't know. I wonder if something happened though. It's not been like him to lie to me or abandon plans."

Jasmine nods, standing up to get ready to go back inside and prepare for bed. "Perhaps if you go again tomorrow he will be there? Maybe something came up."

You nod, standing as well. "Maybe...I think I just need to sleep on it."

You bid each other good night and go back to your separate rooms. On your way to your room, however, you see Jafar heading towards the dungeons. What is he up to? You never trusted Jafar since you first met him, but this visit he was acting more suspicious than he had on previous visits. You shrug and continue to your room, a small smile gracing your lips at the thought of Aladdin once more filling your mind. Tomorrow he will be there...

The next day, noon couldn't come soon enough. You couldn't wait to hopefully see Aladdin again. You rush to your room once you're set free from your duties for the day, grabbing a scarf before heading out. Before you can open your door to leave though, a voice from your terrace makes you jump.

"Someone seems anxious to leave. And leave me behind?"

You turn and a wide grin spreads across your face. "Aladdin!!" You run to him and embrace him, breathing in his scent. You step back and look at him, dressed like a prince of Agrabah. "Where did you get this?" You ask, running your fingers over the material. After the initial shock of joy seeing him, your mind starts asking more questions which you voice aloud. "Why weren't you there yesterday? How'd you get up here? How did you get past the guards? Is everything okay?"

He smiles and places a finger at your lips to stop your rambling. "Come here. I want to show you something. Do you trust me?" He walks to the ledge of the terrace and offers his hand.

You nod, taking his hand in yours. "Always."

He steps off the ledge, but doesn't fall? What? He actually starts to float higher. That's when you see the carpet below his feet. Next thing you know he's pulling you up onto the carpet with him before it takes off. You cling to him, his strong arms around you as the carpet flies high over the city.

   "Am I dreaming?"

He smiles and shakes his head. "No. This is real. I promise I'll explain everything. Carpet? Take us home?"

A couple minutes of breath-taking views later, you've landed on the top of where Aladdin's room is. He turns his body, still sitting, to face you, and starts explaining the past few days. How he was taken prisoner by the palace guards and Jafar the night after you last saw each other, and he was taken then to the dungeon. Then to a place called the cave of wonders, where he almost died thanks to Jafar, but didn't and instead found the magic carpet and a lamp. He pulls said lamp from his pocket to show you before continuing the story.

The lamp was a magic lamp, holding a genie inside. He explains how he wished to be a prince, so he would have something to offer in order to hopefully wed you soon and save you from the Prince of Wales. And how he had only had 1 wish left, since Jafar tried to kill him again when he found out he survived the cave, but this time by drowning.

"I know it's a lot to take in, and it's hard to believe, but (Y/N)? I love you. I want to be with you. I want to talk to your father." He pauses. "I'm sorry I didn't come and tell you sooner."

You shake your head, smiling. "No...This is....It's all worth it. I've never had someone do so much for me." He smiles and gently touches your cheek with his hand, slowly leaning in. You lean in too and meet him halfway, your lips connecting in a soft kiss. Aladdin pulls away first, blushing a bright red.

   "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that."

You shake your head, your face just as red as his. "No no. It's okay." You look up at the sky and sigh. "How is it already so late? I need to be getting back."

He nods, telling carpet to bring you both back. "We have a lifetime to see each other now. No need to worry."

Once you arrive back, you and Aladdin say your goodbyes and part ways for the night, both of you feeling happier than you ever have in your life.

Little did you know though, a letter had reached Prince Arthur. A letter about yourself and a certain street rat seeing each other.

To be continued...
