Normal POV

"Team please come to the mission room." Batman commanded through the overhead system. The team was currently sitting in the living, doing whatever.

"Team." Batman greeted when the teen heroes walked into the room. They all stood in a line in front of the Dark Knight awaiting whatever he was to tell them.

"As you know we have found out who the assassin works for. And because of our fight he is trapped here." Batman said. They were all confused.

"Yah so what's that gotta do with us?" Wally blurted out. Getting an elbow to the side from Artemis.

"Well Wallace, I'd like to try and make him a hero. Instead of sending him to jail we can attempt to befriend him. And if we can get him as an ally he could join this team. You all saw how good of a fighter he was, he'd be a good addition." Batman said, the team's jaws were on the floor.

Kaldur recomposed himself after the second long shock. "May we go and discuss this?" Batman nodded and the team left the scene.

"How could it be a good idea!?!" Wally shouted. Some were taking Batman's plan better then others.

"He is still a child, younger then us. I do not wish to see someone so young in jail." Kaldur said back. He saw it as a good idea, the kid was only doing the job he was told. If they could refine him he could become a good teammate.

"We can't trust him. Even if we do get him on our side who's to say it's not a hoax? What if he tries and gets us to lower our guard then kills us right then and there!?" Artemis countered. Her and Wally were thinking the same way.

"But what if it's not his fault? What if he's being forced to do these things by the people he works for? We're heroes, and even though he seems a villain, we have to try and save him." M'gann added. She was on Kaldur's side, she didn't wanna see someone so young rot away in a jail cell. Connor was somewhere in the middle. He didn't trust the kid one bit, but stood by M'gann.

"Say we do make him a hero. Won't whoever he works for try and find him? Not only would it put us in danger it could put him in danger too." Wally added, his voice calmer.

"If they do come after him we will protect him and ourselves. It's our duty to protect everyone, so him fight alongside us could be a good idea." Kaldur said, the others nodded.

"So we are all in agree?" M'gann added. Everyone nodded once more.

"Let's go back to Batman."

R POV

"Sen gohyaku shijuu shi, sen gohyaku shijuu go, sen gohyaku shijuu roku, sen gohyaku shijuu nana, sen gohyaku shijuu hac-" The door to my cell opened, cutting off my counting. In walked the one and only Bat.

"You speak Japanese." He said, more of a statement then a question. I jumped up from my starfish position and bowed before him.

"Hai." I smirked "So what have you come for today Batsy? Try and get me to slip more info? Make me your personal servant? Wanna make a contract, I kill any and allll~." I sang with a smile.

"I do have a job for you." Batsy said. I smiled.

"So when do I get my weapons!" I cheered, almost jumping up and down.

"It's not that type of job. If you'd accept, I'd like you to try and get to know my team." I stopped jumping and snorted.

"Me? Get to know them? What goes on in that spooky little head of yours, Batguy." I said, crossing  my arms in front of my chest.

"You said you fight fair didn't you?" Batguy said. I nodded, what was he trying to do? "Well we made a deal, if I beat you you had to work for me." I mentally kicked myself in the face.

Wait! This could actually work for me! If I gain their trust they'll let me out of the room more often. And maybe I can find a few weapons. And if I do this right I could still complete my mission. This could work! Ahhhhh thank you brain for being there when I need you.

"Your lucky I always honor my deals Batguy." I spat angrily at him. Though I had a plan it didn't mean I had to like the plan.

"Great." Batman smirked. If it weren't for the dumb collar he'd be on the floor just for the smirk. "Well I guess you'll meet the team tomorrow then." He walked out my cell. I flopped back into my mattress. Thinking of everything that needed to be thought of for my plan.

This is a shorter chapter (I apologize) but something's better then nothin' oh and sorry for such slow updates 😅.
