Normal POV

"These people are weird." Dick said as he looked over all the information he had on the group of teen heroes. He learned their identities, strengths, powers, weaknesses, and even a few secrets they kept from each other. It was more than enough info, and Dick was ready to do his job and impress Ra's.

Dick put the information in a folder, and put it on a dresser. He walked over to his neatly folded uniform, and put it on. It was all black and had many pockets for storing weapons. There was thin black belt that held 3 knives per side and had two gun holsters attached. A hood on top which hid his face along with a domino mask. And a sleeve for his swords on his back.

Dick checked himself once more before going over to his large array of weaponry. There was everything from throwing stars to claymores. Dick grabbed all he could stuff into his compartments. Then hid a very small hunting knife in a secret compartment.

Once every weapon Dick wanted was secured tightly to his body, Dick called for someone to tell Ra's or a leader he was ready.

Not surprisingly, Slade came to Dick's room. The mercenary walked in after two knocks. Dick stood up straight and waited for his assessment. Slade slowly circles the boy assassin, eyeing him as if he was his prey.

"Good." Slade spoke, Dick had a small smile on his face from the praise before expertly hiding it away.

Slade left the room and Dick followed. Together they walked out of the temple like base and into a jet. Making their way to Happy Harbor.

Inside that fabulous mountain - Normal POV

"You guys are boring." Wally said as he flipped down on the couch.

"Sorry Baywatch, guess your just gonna have to deal with it." Artemis smirked as she sharpened her arrows.

"Come on, not even one of you can play one, one, video game with me?" The speedster begged. Everyone turned him down despite his pleas.

Recognize: Batman-02

Everyone turned towards the Zeta-tube, to see the Caped Crusader. Except his regular brooding face wasn't plastered on. In actuality it looked to be a face of anxiousness.

And it terrified the Young Justice Team more than a mad bat.

"What is wrong Batman?" Kaldur questioned. The teens got off the couch and stood in a line. Batman walked towards them.

"A cloaked jet has been spotted flying towards this base. No one knows what's on it, who's on it, or why it's coming here." The team was worried now too. If Batman didn't know anything about this, no one did.

"So what are we supposed to do?" Wally asked, his tone wavering a little from fear.

"I don't know . . ."

Dick's POV - Still inside Jet

"We're right over the base." Deathstroke informed. I looked towards my mentor and nodded. The back of the jet opened up and I sprang out, beginning to free fall.

I landed on the nearby mountain and found a vent opening. I quickly praised my small size and kicked the vent cover in.

"Wow do they ever clean these vents?" I though as I crawled through their dust filled vents.

After silently crawling for a 6.4 minutes exactly, I came to an intersection of vents. The went North, East, South, West, and up. I sat in the middle and pulled up the bases blueprints using my holo glove.

"Ahhhh I love these things." I smiled as I scanned the prints. I chose my route and made my way their.

"In 1.33 minutes I'll be over their control room." I mentally say to myself as I continue to army crawl.

"And 3, 2, 1." I was over the vent that I needed to be at. I grabbed a small tool from my glove and silently unscrewed the cover. I peered into the room and saw no one.

"Fantastic." I dropped into the room and put on my night vision goggles. After doing extensive research on what the mountain ran on, I found that there are two main generators. One which controls all power, and the second which is only there for lights and the transportation tubes in case the first goes out.

"Shall I go the sweet hacker route, or . . ." I grabbed my tool and open up the machine. I decided to go with the more 'enjoyable' way of destruction.

The destructive way.

I carefully grabbed a few wires and cut them hastily. I grabbed a few more and connected them incorrectly. Then I squished a few metal pieces, and viola! There powers out. And there's no back up generator to save them. I smirked, it's always fun to mess with my victims before "unaliving" them.

I jumped back into the vents and crawled to where the heroes were, which was 9.83 minutes away. They appeared to be in a sitting room. A TV and couch inside, along with a small kitchen nearby.

The heroes were scrambling around frantically. I almost laughed at how unorganized they looked. I opened the vent cover and dropped down into the room.

With my night vision goggles I saw all the heroes were here. And a 6th, he was large and looked unfazed at the shortage of lighting. The I saw the pointed ears that were attached to a cowl that covered his face.

Then I remembered a man Deathstroke had told me about.

"Batdude? GuyBat? Oh whatever." All I remember is that Deathstroke said not to underestimate him. And that I didn't need to learn everything about him because he wasn't important. It surprised me that Slade told me not to learn about him, but I knew not to question him.

"Best to strike while the young heroes are still discombobulated!" I think before jumping into action.

I grab my knife made of kryptonite, ready to take down the clone first. I jumped onto his shoulders and he didn't flinch, he started moving around and using his arms to try and get me off. I laughed this time and felt the room go cold. I stabbed the clone in the shoulder, it weakened him to the point of collapse. And the bleeding would kill him. And if he tried to take the knife out, the team can say bye bye to their half-kryptonian.

I felt the presence of another in my well guarded mind. I knew it was the martian, Slade had taught me all about them. The best way to get them out of your head was to use one of their weaknesses and make them get out while hurting them! So
I thought of radiating heat, and crackling flames. So much fire it could make my brain melt. I heard the green girl cry out in pain then a thud of a body hitting the floor. Another down. I'd take care of her finally in a moment.

I glanced over at the big fella, batguy or whatever his name is. He's not in his same spot. I quickly scanned my surroundings and spotted him in a dark shadow. He was extraordinary well hidden, but I'm very good at finding people who try and hide. I left him be, but kept a close tab on him.

A gust of wind zipped past me ear, "speedster." I think. He shouldn't be hard to beat. From what I've found he's impulsive and not asterous at hand-to-hand. He relies on his speed more then anything. All I had to do was time things right and he'd be down. I felt him start to run around me in a super speeded circle. If I were normal I would've been very disoriented, but I am not normal.

I smirked at his attempt, then faked a punch. I watch him dodge then stick out my leg and watched him skid across the floor. I jumped on his back and twisted his left leg the wrong way. I hear a satisfying crack and a scream, which told me I did the job right. I hit him hard on the back of the head with my gun, successfully knocking him out. Then shot him in the right and left shoulder, 3 times. He's a speedster, those should take awhile.

"2 left, this is going better then I planned!" The Batguy is still in his corner. I guess he doesn't know I know he's there, I liked it that way.

I chose to go after the Atlantan next as I dodged one of his water ball things. But that last two proved a challenge. Artemis had gotten closer than I enjoyed. And the two were on either side of me. It wasn't much of a challenge, it just meant more fun.

So while I dodged arrows I slowly got closer to the Atlantian. I grabbed a large knife and stuck it through the team leader's thigh and watched him drop. Then focus on the last target.

Through my goggles I could see her face. There were tears on her cheeks and she was shaking. But it didn't stop her from loading her bow and aiming it at me. I grabbed my sword, ready for little fun.

The archer shot arrow after arrow, and blocked each one with my sword. She was progressively getting more and more frustrated. Her tears didn't stop, nor did her shaking. But I had to give it to her, she had amazing aim. It could be compared to mine.

Buuuutttt, she was not prepared for me to suddenly change weapons. I sheathed my sword and exchanged it for my gun, which apparently was my weapon of choice for the day. I shot by her foot and she jumped to the side, losing her concentration. I used the opportunity to shoot her in the right shoulder and left arm. And like that, she was down for the count too.

I walked over to the unconscious martian and shot her in the hip. I don't know why today I chose slow death over speedy ones. But who cares, a job gets done.

I jumped up into the vents once again and begin my great escape. Then I remember, "Batdude. . ."

Before I had a chance to go back for him the vents fill with a misty green like gas. I reached for the pocket that held my rebreather.

Only to find it empty.

Before I can yell at myself for forgetting something so important, my head goes foggy and my eyelids get heavy. But I pushed past it and continued to crawl. After 0.21 seconds my limbs grow tired, and I can no longer move. I put my head down in my arms, the fatigue finally taking over. One last sluggish thought running through my head,

"Failed Ra's . . . And Slade . . . Wow."

Then darkness flooded my vision and I was out cold.

THAT WAS A LONGER CHAPTER BUT I THINK I DID A GOOD JOB!
