It was still raining. Everyone was at the canteen. They were eating a kind of stringy alien meat. Jay cuts a chunk off of it and takes a better look at the said meat.

Jay: "Not that I'm vegan but uhh... Thanks for the food but uh think ill just go with a salad."

Voxle: "Alright then. More for the others."

Voxle walks off with Jay's plate. Elliott was enjoying the meat which seemed to disgust Jay a little.

Yuni: "So uh, what do you usually eat for meat?"

Elliott: "Well it's kinda complicated. Sometimes we have vegetable based meat or we just hunt down some... Ferals if you wanna call them that."

Jay: "Hunting what you used to be feels weird and wrong. Our evolution was really questionable, let's just switch topics."

Voxle puts down a bowl of salad in front of Jay then leaves to think about their plan.

-Timeskip-

It finally stopped raining. Voxle checks outside one last time to make sure.

Voxle: "Alright, skies are clear. Shall we go through the plan again?"

Everyone takes their seat on one table to save space and to hear the plan better.

Voxle: "Okay so let's start. Yuni, Zyphon, and Kyerie, you're coming with me. And for 8Ball, Elliott and Jay, Stay on the ship and guard it incase of anything trying to break in or something goes wrong. Once all four of us are there. Kyerie and I will sneak in the base for the map or anything that'll help us in finding our rescue target. Zyphon and Yuni will watch our backs and cause a distraction if needed."

Zyphon: "Wait wait wait wait wait... How do i cause a distraction WHILE keeping an eye on both of you?"

Voxle: "Yuni, You know how to use a sniper rifle right?"

Yuni: "Yes I do. Don't do it often though so I might be a little rusty."

Voxle: "Will have to do. Zyphon will set the shots on fire and set a room on well, fire. Since a fire would be the most reasonable natural "accident" we have. I made a special rifle that suits this well. Careful where the bullet goes though."

Yuni: "Why?"

Voxle: "You'll see later."

Kyerie: "And why am I going with you?"

Voxle: "Well I just guessed if you've already been inside the building you might know where they are or atleast where we're going."

Kyerie: "Fair."

Voxle: "If anything goes bad, we get spotted, or anything that could sabotage this mission. 8Ball will use the portal pen to teleport us back in the ship. I chose them since they can see the future they could also see where we are."

8Ball: "Correct and what a great use of my ability! I applaud."

Voxle stands up and hits the table with his paw making almost everyone jump in surprise.

Zyphon: "GAH- why did you do that?!"

Voxle: "I dunno. Just felt like doing it because I saw other people do this."

Kyerie: "Don't have to call our attention again."

Voxle: "Alright fine. Let's just get going and gear up."

Everyone but 8ball, Jay, and Elliott gets off of the table. The four head over to the weapons room again leaving the three behind in the canteen.

Jay: "So... What now?"

Elliott: "Maybe drop off our stuff in a room and check it out. How about you 8Ball?"

8Ball: "Oh, nothing much."

-Meanwhile at the weapons room-

Voxle picks up a rifle. It was green and some parts felt like they were made of rubber. Other than that, it looked similar to the one he uses.

Voxle: "This is the ricochet rifle. What it does is self explanatory. I like to call it's bullets "rico-shots". You'll definitely see why."

Voxle heads over to the shooting range and fires at the target. A small yellow ball comes out of the rifle at high speeds. It hits the hologram target hard, shattering it like glass. The said yellow ball then bounces around the room progressively getting faster until it started to bounce off of the walls slower.

Voxle: "And that's why you should be careful where you fire this thing. The force is strong enough to break glass but not strong enough to really hurt someone. Sure you might get a concussion when you get hit by one of these things, but you'll be fine... Mostly."

Zyphon: "And this is flammable right?"

Voxle: "Yep. One time I tested it, it almost set the whole room on fire."

Kyerie: "Alright. Let's go now."

Voxle hands over the rifle to Yuni. They then exit the room and then the ship. Voxle unfolds a map before remembering he forgot something.

Voxle: "Right. We still have to get there."

Yuni: "Let's just use the portal pen."

They head back inside and borrowed the pen from 8Ball. Voxle hands it over to Kyerie.

Voxle: "You know where the base is right? Just make a portal near it."

Kyerie holds the pen and starts drawing a circle, opening a portal. In the other side there was a single building with lights coming out of the windows. Kyerie tosses the pen to 8Ball who catches it right before it hits the ground. Kyerie enters the portal along with everyone else.

Voxle: "We'll call you when we're done or in need of teleporting. Have fun."

8Ball waves goodbye to Voxle as they enter the portal and closing it. They sit back down at the seats near the tables, gently putting down the pen on the table.

8Ball: "Hmm. What now?"

-Null POV-

I have finally got out of the station I was left behind, tracked down their location and finally found it. It was the same place where the ship landed.

All I could see was just the trees and the forest but my scanners tell me there's three signs of life in front of me. I took a moment to think if it was my target, I remember there's more than just three of them. I looked around to see footsteps on the soil. It didn't go far since the trail just dissappears after a few steps.

Null: "Surely this belonged to them. But why did they stop?"

I walked closer until I hit something, making a loud thud. I looked in front of me to see nothing. Since the thud sounded like metal I assumed it was the ship. I heard faint footsteps getting closer so I hide before someone spots me. The ship's door opens, then the same bird and fox came out and looked for what caused the noise.

"Nothing here. Might have been just a fruit from a tree nearby."

"Yeah. So while they're in Japan, what are we gonna do?"

"Maybe let's just explore the ship"

The two walk back inside the ship. I got out of my hiding spot and moved away from the ship so they won't hear me. I start a call with Xero, waiting for them to pick up while an annoying sound plays. Few seconds later they finally picked up.

Xero [Call]: "Who is this?"

Null: "Xero."

Xero [C]: "Oh yeah it's you. What do you need, Null?"

Null: "My target has gone to a place called Japan. I assume its far."

Xero stays silent for a while, I heard distant beeping from the call until Xero finally replied.

Xero [C]: "Yep, Pretty far. Probably won't make it there in time on foot but fortunately for us I just have the thing."

Null: "What is it?"

Xero [C]: "Something that will help you get there faster and also some backup. Just stay in one place and it'll be there."

Null: "Backup?"

Xero [Call]: "Yup, meet you in a few seconds."

Xero ends the call. I walk further away from the cloaked ship. Few seconds later an orange glowing line appears and forms a circle. It opens what seemed to be a portal, Xero comes out with a crystal on their paw.

Xero: "Alright let's go to Japan or whatever, oh and your backup's already there. You still have to search for Voxle, though."

Xero opens another portal and enters it. I went in as well and found myself in a completely different place.

Xero: "Okay here we are. I can't stay here for long since I have things to do. Well have fun... DON'T kill Voxle though."

Null: "What about the others?"

Xero: "Try not to."

Xero opens one last portal before leaving me with the orange crystal. I looked around me and started searching for my target.

-Back to the group of four-

Voxle climbed in a window Kyerie followed while Zyphon and Yuni was keeping watch.

Yuni: "Wow they've already started."

Zyphon: "Remember. After we shoot, we gotta move so we stay undetected."

-Voxle POV-

I sneak in the building making my way through. There was an elevator at the end of the hall but it's too risky to get spotted now.

Voxle: "Beta. How many floors are in this building?"

Beta: "There are fourteen floors. You are currently at the first floor."

Voxle: "Are there atleast any maps nearby?"

Beta: "One at the lobby. Although, I detect several life signs in that area."

I checked the ceilings to make sure there wasn't any cameras watching us. I then realise that we are currently in a bathroom. I peek outside and saw a camera, I closed the door right before it turns to face my direction.

Voxle: "I'll disable the cameras, watch my back."

Kyerie: "Wouldn't they notice when it's off?"

I take out a tiny device. It was sticky enough to stick on almost anything. I head outside and saw the camera facing the opposite direction, this was my chance so I quickly made my way over and sticked the device on the camera. It continues to rotate like normal.

Kyerie: "What was that for?"

Voxle: "Right now its just playing a recorded video of its surroundings. But not only that, I now have access to what it actually sees."

I looked through the camera and saw ourselves. I opened the next door and it was the lobby. There was a lot of armed people standing guard and a receptionist. I found a map on one of the stands near the counter. I throw another one of those devices but with a string attached to it.

It lands on a paper copy of the map and I pull it until it's near the door. I pull gently to make it look like the wind was carrying it, I picked it up and scanned it then I put it back down. I heard footsteps coming closer from the other side of the door.

Voxle: "Let's head upstairs now."

So uh yeah. Kinda uploaded pretty late since I had to go somewhere yesterday. Anyways happy valentines day! I might still publish another chapter this week.
