Jo Yuri's POV

"HEY, GUYS WAKE UP! We have school today!!!" I tried to lightly shake them off but they all seemed unbothered.

"Goddammit." I took a deep breath "KIM MINJU, YABUKI NAKO, HONDA HITOMI WAKE THE FUCK UP OR I'LL BURN YOUR UNIFORMS." With that, the bread addict, the dwarf, and the frog immediately opened their eyes.

They looked at me as if they wanted to bury me alive.

"What's with all the fuzz, Jo Yuri?" Hitomi asked, rubbing her eyes.

"Well, it's almost 7 and you three are still half asleep." I spat they all casually stood up and started to get their things.

My head hurts, and I'm still sleepy myself but we can't be late for school.

Last night, we decided to have a sleepover at Minju's house— We didn't fucking expect that she had a goddamn mansion. I mean, we know she's rich but the girl had a mansion almost as big as a whole village and I'm not exaggerating things... or maybe I am.

We talked 'til dawn. As much as I'd like to be filled with all the latest tea, I need at least two hours of sleep or I'll collapse.
thank goodness they got tired of talking and decided to sleep.

"Nako, Tomi, there are guest rooms next to mine, there are bathrooms there. The two you can shower there." Minju stated as she was carrying her uniform to her bathroom.

Hitomi and Nako nodded and went out to take a shower. While I, stood there in Minju's room, bored because I already took a shower in Minju's bathroom thirty minutes ago.

Earlier, a maid went into Minju's room to wake us up but I told her I can do it instead.

I scrolled through my Instagram and I passed through an Ad. It was a travel ad and it featured Busan. My hometown. The place I grew up in. My biggest nightmare. And where I met her.

As I was watching the AD, it reminded me of her. The girl last year. The one who pushed me to run away and be free.

"I wonder where she is now." I unconsciously said.

I got too lost in my own thoughts that I didn't notice Minju coming out of her bathroom.

"Hey, you okay?" I heard what she said but my brain couldn't process anything in this state.

I gasped when I felt someone touching my shoulders, it brought me back to my senses.

"Hey, Yul, are you okay? You're spacing out." Minju asked once again. I looked at her, with my mouth wide open.

"Y-Yeah, I was just sleepy." I reasoned out and she continued to do her own thing.

I turned my phone off and decided to go down to the kitchen to get some water. When I got there, I saw Minju's dad coming out of his office— I think. He smiled, "Oh you're Minju's friend, right?"

I quickly placed the glass on the counter and bowed, "Ah yes sir I'm Jo Yuri."

"You don't have to call me sir. Just call me Uncle. I don't wanna seem old—" He was about to say something else but he was cut off by his phone. He fished it out of his pocket and answered it.

"Hello." He looked at me and excused himself. I just nodded and picked up the glass I used and washed it.

I didn't want to eavesdrop on his phone calls but I heard a tiny bit of it. He left the mansion with his secretary. He seemed like a busy man.

I went back to Minju's room and saw Hitomi, Nako, and Minju all dressed up.

"Hey, Minju your Dad already left," I informed her. She nodded and smiled bitterly. Seems like something's going on but I didn't want to pry.

We ate breakfast and headed straight to school. When we arrived, we saw students huddled up on the Bulletin board in the main building. Being naturally curious, we somehow made our way to see what's going on there. After seeing Minju, the students parted ways, letting us pass.

We saw a fairly big poster hanging on the board.

"Today is Enozi High's foundation day. It had been 48 years since this school was established. Today is a day off of nasty school activities. Oh, and keep your eyes alert because you're in for a treat. Have a nice day Enozi High Students." Minju mumbled, reading the letters written in there.

Party? Surprise? Gift? If only they know what lies behind the curtains. They'll surely hate him to their guts.

"Oh, right, today is our school's foundation day. I totally forgot about that." Minju scratched her nape.

"That's why they're not wearing uniforms." I realized that the students did not wear their uniforms today.

We stood there like dumb people wearing ours.

"Now what are we supposed to do?" Nako pouted, realizing that us waking up early is basically useless.

"Let's go to our rooms first, I wanna leave my backpack there," Hitomi said, we all agreed since it'll be a burden to bring your backpack wherever you go.

"Now what?" Nako asked as she slumped down her chair.

"Shall we head to the cafeteria? I'm still hungry." I suggested.

The cafeteria was packed since it's a free day.

Luckily, we found a vacant table. Well, not really but the ones who were sitting on it said they're already done so they gave it to us.

We sat there, bored and sleepy.

That's why you should sleep in a fucking SLEEPOVER.

"Hey. I saw the news on my phone earlier. A group of unidentified people snuck into our school last night." Hitomi suddenly said, trying to open up a topic.

"Really? Why would they?" Nako asked. I was too sleepy to understand what they were talking about, it just entered my ear and left.

"They are probably thieves. Our school is popular, Y'know." Minju said.

My eyelids are getting heavier and I started feeling drowsy. I couldn't hear the rest of their conversation.

We had no energy since we're all tired. Everyone didn't really have the appetite to eat we just used it as an excuse to kill time.

I was suddenly woken up by a sudden alarm in the cafeteria.

Every student looked around the area.

"Hello, Everyone. Since it's a really special day we decided to arrange a very special event. This is the highlight of Enozi High's 48th foundation anniversary. Mr. Kim, I'm pretty sure you're listening. We sent you an invitation so you know where to go. Everyone, it's time for fun." A voice spoke but it was auto-tuned.

Everyone started cheering and excitedly scanned the entire place.

It became chaotic.

My friends seemed to have woken up from their sleepy selves.

"THERE" One student shouted and pointed to the TV in the cafeteria.

Our head automatically turned to he was pointing and saw something written.

"Go out and you all will see the next one." Hitomi read the text.

The students immediately went out, pushing each other. It was a mess.

The four of us stood there, still processing the situation.

"Should we follow them?" Minju asked.

"I wanna know the surprise so HELL YEAH," Nako shouted.

The two of them looked at Hitomi and me. Hitomi nodded. They all looked at me.

"We have nothing to do anyway." They all jumped out of the seat and we ran out of the cafeteria and headed through the halls.

We flock of students so we followed them. I paid no attention to the 'clues' i just followed them.

We walked from buildings to buildings until we reached our final destination, the school fields.

When we arrived there, a lot of students were already there. Talking.

It was a pretty sunny day so everyone fanned themselves. It looked like Coachella but a messier version of it.

It was the most chaotic thing I've seen.

We heard the alarm again.

"I guess you all made it but sadly, our main character isn't here yet." The voice once again spoked.

The students started chanting "Mr. Kim", calling for the principal. Desperately wanting the principal's presence.

"Mr. Kim, they're calling for you. The dear students of Enozi high are waiting for you." The voice said.

The cheer grew louder and louder.

In a few minutes, we saw a man in a suit walking towards the bundle of people.

It was our principal.

"HE'S HERE!!!" A female student squealed.

The students started chanting his name once again and the principal waved his hand displaying a smile.

He went to the small stage and there was a mic prepared up there.

"Since the Principal is already here, I think it's time to party! But before that, let's hear some words from our beloved principal, Mr. Kim Hyunseok."

The crowd roared with the voice's statement.

"First of all, I'd like to thank the ones who organized this. I was really having a hard time because a guard reported to me and said a couple of civilians broke into the school." He spoke. The audience gasped at the sudden TMI.

civilians?

"But luckily, they didn't steal anything. Anyway, it's the 48th year. Wow, time flies so fast. I feel like a father whose child is already growing up. Enozi High and its students are my children so I'll do everything to protect it." He said and moved away from the microphone.

yeah, right.

The crowd clapped and cheered after hearing his little speech.

"Wow, nice words Mr. Kim. Now, I want to tell you a tale about Enozi High. You probably already know this but I'll tell you anyway. Have you hear about Kriesha Chu?" After the voice spoke, our principal turned pale. He looked shocked. Not expecting the sudden twist.

"Yes!!" The crowd shouted. Everyone looked intrigued as to why she was suddenly brought up into this.

"Okay, since you all know what happened to her. Let me tell you the reason why she died." The crowd anticipated what the person would say.

What? Is this the Eunbi Unnie and the gang's doings?

I looked at my friends to see their reactions. Hitomi and Nako looked pretty normal and they're just listening and for Minju, she's looked like she's sick.

I held her hand and she looked at me, I just smiled and looked ahead.

"Kriesha was actually raped by Kim Woojin, Mr. Kim's precious grandson." The voice spoke.

The crowd started murmuring to each other.

"STOP THIS! THIS IS A LIE. WHERE ARE THE GUARDS? WHAT IS THIS? STOP THIS NOW!" The Principal frantically walked back and forth.

Soon, two teachers with 4 guards came.

"Sir, someone hacked into the school's speakers. No one's into the audio room but the voice kept talking." One teacher shouted.

The crowd's murmur grew louder.

"This is all a lie. Believe me, my dear students." The principal spoke through the mic.

"Lie? What are talking you about? Mr. Kim isn't time to tell them the truth. How you covered up Kriesha's death to save your grandson? Isn't it amazing how no one mentioned that your grandson raped Kriesha?" The voice spoke, in a dark tone. Warning the principal to come clean or else.

I realized that Minju's hand turned into a fist. So I held it once again without saying anything.

The crowd started booing.

"Hey everyone, Look up." The voice said and with that, everyone looked up. Thousands of papers fell from the sky. Then I noticed that there are multiple drones up there.

Everyone picked up a piece of paper so did the four of us and the principal too.

It was the same document Sakura Unnie showed me, the one where Kriesha's parents tried to sue Woojin for rape.

The Principal's eyes grew wide. Not expecting the evidence.

Minju crumpled the paper and threw it to the Principal.

The rest of the students copied it. They kept throwing the crumpled papers to the Principal's face. The guards started shielding him.

"Wait. That's not all. Listen to this" the voice said. The crowd went quiet.

"You know Mr. Chu. You can't sue me or my grandson because you know what'll happen to you if you do so. I suggest you flee back to your own country and never return. You don't want them to know what you did, right?" It was the Principal's voice.

The crowd got angrier and started throwing stones and specks of dirt.

"Just to inform you, this is happening again. Do you know Jo Yuri? She was almost raped by Woojin. I heard she tried to do a violence committee but was denied by the Principal."

Why am I suddenly in this? Is this Chaewon Unnie's last card?

I lowered my head, not wanting any attention.

Then I looked around to maybe see who did it and I saw Eunbi Unnie, Sakura Unnie, Hyewon Unnie, Chaewon Unnie, Lee Chaeyeon, Wonyoung, Yujin and a girl whose back is facing me.

I met eyes with Chaewon Unnie and she winked at me.

"That's it. I hope you all help Jo Yuri win her case. You all don't wanna held responsible if she suddenly decides to kill herself, right? It was a nice day. Mr. Kim, I hope you pay for your wrongdoings. Goodbye, everyone."

The students didn't stop, they kept throwing stones.

The teachers and guards tried their best to find who did it.

We left and returned to our classroom.

"Woah, what was that?" Hitomi said.
"Yuri, you were almost raped?" Nako asked me.
"Yeah, kind of but someone saved me," I replied, scratching my head.
"You didn't tell us?" Hitomi and Nako looked utterly betrayed.
"I'm sorry. It slipped my mind." I replied.

I looked at Minju, she stayed quiet and was looking at the windows.

I hugged her from behind, "Hey, you okay?" I whispered.

The next thing I heard was her sobs. She's... crying?

I turned her around to face me.

"Hey, hey, why are you crying?" I hugged her, the best thing I could do.

Nako and Hitomi looked at Minju with shocked faces.
