johnny crashes into the hospital seeing doyoung pacing around waiting for him.

"johnny! jaehyun is in room 208 and chenle and haechan are in room 210."

"thank you. was the accident bad?" johnny says worriedly. doyoung really teared up and just stayed quiet.

"it happened so fast.. but we dialed chenle's dad so you wont have to worry about that." doyoung pats his back and guides him to the rooms.

johnny looks around to find the room number. hyuck was all he could think about.

he was still concerned for all of them but his own child had his life at risk. thinking about losing a child breaks his heart into shards.

losing chenle and jaehyun too would make him feel empty. they were all his family and losing them was his biggest fear.

he opened the door to hyuck and chenle lying down on the beds. their hearts still beating while they rest.

"the doctor said it wasnt too bad except.. haechan is in a coma. they said until the end of june. luckily chenle and jaehyun just need rest but chenle did break his neck." doyoung rested his hand on his shoulder.

johnny could just see them rest with all those cuts across their faces and arms. he could only blame himself.

maybe if i didn't go on that date, then this wouldn't happen.
johnny thought.

"how's jaehyun? is he awake?" johnny looked at doyoung.

"jungwoo has been watching him for awhile.. he's awake if you wanna check up on him." doyoung walked out to show johnny the other room.

as he opens the door he sees jungwoo and jaehyun in his bed.

"johnny! jaehyunnie is okay! i took care of him." jungwoo smiles. his bright energy made johnny feel a bit better. especially seeing the state of his best friend.

"jaehyun.. how did this happen?"
johnny takes a seat next to jaehyun.

"well- this car showed up on the wrong side and i was talking at the kids while looking at the mirror for a second. i-i didn't see the car like the opposite direction going towards us- i crashed so bad and my body just went numb. my whole car is wrecked. i dont even know how it's possible we survived." jaehyun states.

johnny just blames himself.
he knew he shouldn't have thought it was the right time to go on that date. maybe if he went with them then, he could've prevented it from happening. it made sense in his head.

-a month later-

taeil decided to forget about johnny after what happened last time. he noticed how johnny never gave him any morning or night messages, no more facetimes, no surprises of affection.

johnny was right, the date was an mistake for the both of them.

he was a bit disappointed hearing haechan and chenle couldn't continue the semester as well. they never gave a reason. taeil even wondered if it's because johnny didn't want to see him when he dropped them off.

but taeil couldn't put some weird senierio

-time skip-

it was finally lunch, taeil went to the teacher's lounge since they recently got a sick vending machine.

"still can't believe we weren't able to continue during baseball season due to the tragic accident." mr. park whined.

"i heard one of the kindergarten students were in that accident... uh zhong chenle and lee haechan?" another teacher spoke.

taeil wasn't much of an eavesdropper but hearing accident with the two boys names led him to drop the change he had in  hand.

"oh! mr.moon.. are you okay?" ms. roh asked.

"umm.. y-yes i'm fine thank you. i lost balance you know?" taeil smiled and hopped nervously away.

taeil started just walking back to his classroom. was that really what happened? are they okay? is johnny okay? is that why they aren't in school? so many things racing in his head.

after many giggles and story books, school ends on a good note.

taeil felt really eager to check on haechan and chenle because how close he felt with them.

taeil would stay late with haechan and talk to him after school when johnny forgot to pick up his own kid. sometimes chenle would join too and hearing the two boys bickering while he put away paper work made his day better.

now he sits in his car in front of the hospital thinking of how he should approach them. especially knowing how he has history with a certain man.
