taeil kept his word and always visited hyuck especially since school is finally over.

he liked to tell hyuck small stories and that he misses him very dearly. johnny would also be there just smiling at taeil afar.

taeil still wanted to talk about them and see if they could have another chance but he didn't think it was the right time.

this week has been going fast for taeil since he ended up babysitting taeyong's little brother, then constant calls from doyoung and other teachers about next school year plans, and weird incomings from jungwoo. he never really knew how jungwoo got his apartment key.

"taeil!" mark runs to taeil with two books. "could you help me read these? taeyong buy them for me yesterday!" mark squealed with joy.

"of course mark." taeil pats his head and carries mark next to him.

mark ended up getting more books and they read at least 5. as they were reading their 6th book taeil's phone started ringing.

taeil saw it was jaehyun.

they werent too close. he only exchanged numbers with him for when they would go to the hospital together.

taeil said he wouldnt be able to see hyuck today.. he thought it was odd. but he pressed the green button shining on his phone.

"hello? jaehyun?" taeil says with a concerned face.

"hey guess what,, the doctor said hyuck could be coming back from his coma today!" jaehyun cheered. taeil felt the excitement from jaehyun.

"mark come with me. we gotta go to the hospital."

during the car ride mark asked questions like 'why are we going to the doctor?' or 'are we here?' to random rapping and singing.

taeil wanted mark to shut up but mark was too cute so he just smiled and drove.

"okay markie, hold my hand." taeil held his hand out for mark to grab.
"why are we at the hospital? did taeyong hurt?" the little boy questioned.

"remember haechan? he's here." taeil started dragging mark to follow him.

taeil and mark arrives at the familiar hospital room. hearing a bit of laughter on the other side. jaehyun hears three knocks at the door and quickly rushes to open.

taeil walked in seeing well known faces as well. jaehyun, yuta, ten, lucas, and of course... johnny.

lastly he sees a small boy who's on his hospital bed.

he stops laughing as he sees the two people who entered the room.

"w-who this daddy?" hyuck pulls johnny's sleeve.

hearing those three words hurt taeil more than ever.
