after those words came out hyucks mouth.. it hurted more than taeil would expect. after this whole year, from the beginning of school to now.

johnny put his hand on his shoulder and taeil notices his eyes water as if johnny felt the same pain as him.

mark repeated that he was haechans friend and they would read and play on the playground together .

he's a bit sad that hyuck cant remember everything but he will still try to stay close with hyuck.

the next day mark annoyed taeil that he has something for haechan so taeil decided to jump into the car and come again.

"haechan! i got you a teddy bear!" mark yells with excitement to the small boy whos just waking up.

johnny giggles silently at mark. hes happy that hyuck has a friend his age to talk to him while hes in the hospital.

"stranger?" hyuck rubs his eyes and looks at him with confusion. mark carefully climbs on his bed with the toy to give it to hyuck.

"i told you my name is mark and we are friENDS yesterday.." emphasizing on the friends part.

"oh but i just meet you?" hyuck scratches his head saying 'meet' instead of 'met'.

"we met when you went to school, silly! i wanted to get you a stuffie the next time i came." mark smiles brightly.

"oooh thank you mark?" hyuck questions if he said his name correctly.

"good job" the older boy shows two thumbs up.

"im glad you dropped by even though his lack of memory.. the doctor said his head was hit during the accident so he lost some memories."

"its fine johnny.. we just have to wait okay? dont worry im not upset its not his fault."

after a week of visiting daily, hyuck learned taeil's name. an achievement that made taeil happy every passing day.

hyuck and mark quickly
got along so taeil starts to bring mark everyday while hyuck stays in his hospital bed.

"so.. he probably doesn't remember his kindergarten experience." johnny talks to the side with taeil.

taeil looks down at the floor. sad all those memories are somewhere lost in hyuck's brain.

"he could take kindergarten again." taeil says. feeling a bit of joy having hyuck in his class again.

taeil takes a glimpse of hyuck sleeping soundly with his teddy bear now in hand. mark sleeping at the end of his bed.

"okay well i think its time for me to leave now." taeil turns to grab his bag and mark's other toys he brought.

"wait- taeil i wanted to talk about something." johnny says quickly as if he was about to lose his chance.

"huh? you know you could just say—" taeil gets cut off seeing the door move.

"hEY THERE FELLAS! oh shit- i mean hello buddies~ the dudes missed seeing hyuck but hes sleeping.." jaehyun barges in seeing four others following behind.

hyuck waits up from the yelling he heard since hes bit of a light sleeper.

"lele!" hyuck jumps. lele hops to hyuck and hugs him.

"we're back from our trip and me and daddy are happy you woke up hehe!" chenle yells with such energy.

"chenle be quiet he's still sleeping." kun reminds chenle about the boy who still sleeps.

i guess johnny's gonna have to wait before he could tell taeil something he's been thinking about for awhile.
