Living with the monsters was great. Frisk appreciated having a family now, Asgore, her new father, was kind and gentle despite his size, and Toriel, her new mother was wise and caring, she had to be because she was queen of the Underground.

Monster kid... her and him had a special relationship. She was his sister after all, and he didn't hold anything back from her. He told her everything.

One day, they decided to do something nice for the Dreemur's they decided to make a pie for Toriel, like they've seen their dad do. They were so excited about it, mostly Frisk, so she could say "thanks"

They read the ingredients from a recipe that they borrowed from Dad and went to work, until they realized that they needed butter.

Not having any, they decided to use buttercups, not aware of the danger. The pie didn't turn out like Frisk hoped, but it was still very appealing. Toriel was surprised and excited at the children's approach. Not realizing the danger she was in, she took a bite.

She fell massively ill, buttercups have a secret poison that can kill anyone. Learning that, made Frisk feel increasingly guilty, she almost killed her new mother! Monster kid felt just as bad, apologizing multiple times to Toriel. Every time he reminded her of what she did, she just laughed. She didn't know how to release her guilt, laughing was the only way to release it.
